A friend uses Jetset too and she always has beautiful hair. In the UK I paid £115 for half head highlights, trim and blow dry, so about the same as 650 here.

Really going to show my age now, but I saw the Beatles play before they ever made the big time, even before they went to Hamburg. I lived on the Wirral, which is across the river from Liverpool, and they used to come and play at our local YMCA for Saturday night dances. As did Gerry and the Pacemakers, Cilla Black, The Searchers and any other Liverpool group you may remember. When I started work in Liverpool, several of us from the office used to go to the Cavern each lunchtime. Happy days ! 1961 Hambleton Hall Huyton.. 10years before my time but me dad remembers them like Yesterday!!!:)

Bit complicated as we.ve got property in joint names and pension aaaaaagh!!!! Have to agree the amount of info is scary, but actually it wasn't too bad. We have property in joint names, varying pensions and investments and it was OK. They have even agreed with the final calculation and credited my UK account accordingly. If you are doing it online, it should give you the heads up on what info you will require in order to complete it, and on the odd thing I got stuck on their help button actually gave understandable explanations. I just did a bit at a time then saved it, and went back and did a bit more here and there.

I never used it before but it looks really very interesting. Could you please give me advice which one is better to buy? Will depend what you like to do.... Family book has waterparks, ice creams, one or two nice restaurants, and alot of the mall food court vouchers too. Fine dining is geared more to the higher end restaurants...

DH said he was out of the stratosphere..... Truly amazing performer, nothing artificial going on there. DH was in the VIP section too, you couldn't have missed him at 6ft 7".... So why no story in the papers then?

Yeah thats why i asked, no media coverage or reports?? I totoally agree if we had a few more years we'd have been happier, we went to see Stevie Wonder in May and whilst he was fantastic, if we knew more of his songs we would have been truely blown away. Glad you all had a great time and like i say, overall really impressed with the organisation. It is really bizarre.... My dad is from Liverpool and knew George and Paul, so grew up listening to all their music.. And still love listening to it today, our dd even likes afew of them... Sadly I didn't make it to the concert but my dh couldn't wait to wake me up at 02:00 this morning to rub my nose in it a little. It has made his year, also grown up listening to the music so very familiar. I hope he gets a fab review somewhere so deserved listening to what others have said...

Was just searching the papers online for Macca reviews.... Nothing except a small bit in National about how a 45 year old Emirati didn't know who he was and was unimpressed!!! Being part of an older crowd (36) "thanx Jenc123" LOL.... It was out of this world, absolutely amazing, all real no sync just pure talent. Very surprised not to hear any chat even on the radio this morning given the clips of his interviews they have been playing. What is that all about?

I make silver cufflinks and can put the hand or footprints of the twins plus names if you think he would wear them or perhaps a keyring or golf ball marker? Just a thought. Love the cufflink idea! Don't tell me off, but I am not sure that I would know an Emirati if I saw one.... But what I can say is that on more than one occassion now I have been stuck with my car having broken down, and on both occassions it was an arab person who very kindly came to our rescue. Really kind, helpful and generous wherever they had originated from.

I went a loooooong time ago, about 1993.... Went to Santa Lucia and had an amazing time. No kids at that point but there were plenty of families there.... Beautiful island....

It is worrying when you are not feeling right, our dd was very poorly last year and we were worried sick having to take her into hospital, butthey were great and really took very good care of her. Hope you have somebody with you to help you get there, and feel better soon.x

Dr Nicola Dreamer comes highly recommended. I know people who have seen her and say she's excellent. she works in the same surgery as Dr Carol did and is UK trained. I have seen Nicola Deamer at DLC, not sure if this is the same lady as Claire mentions, but if so she is very good.

Try to find an orthodontist... I suffered terribly with this, to the point where I would wake and my jaw would be locked. Ended up having surgery at the age of 16 to help. Doesn't pop so much now but it does clunk when I eat.... Not pleasant for others to listen to. I did grind my teeth, initially the consultant made me a plate to wear, but it didn't help unfortunately. I am sure if it continues your doctor should be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck...

We used to get a Friday morning delivery, the first few were amazing, really fresh and scrummy. However, they then delivered a batch of very stale bread and croissants. I emailed them twice explaining the disappointment but never got a response.. Shame, when they are good they are really good...

As Claire says you are absolutely able to stay put for at least 12 months from the expiration of the agreement, even if he says he needs to move in. We were in a tizz initially when our LL tried it on, but thanx to advice given on here and speaking to Claire we were confident and stuck to our guns and it all worked out fine. REREA are really helpful and say that if a LL wants to rent out they should be prepared to let properties for at least 2 years, they recognise the cost implications to tenants and also the upheaval it causes to families.

No we didn't, but we did use the lady's name we spoke to should he feel the need to go back to her to clarify anything. They were really helpful, so we went from the LL telling us we had to leave because he wanted to sell, to him needing to live here, to a 27% increase and payment in 1 cheque from cheques to Oh OK you have the law on your side...... Just write to him stating the fact, check with RERA and get a name if it makes you feel more secure, and if he isn't happy then let him go to RERA and sort it out.

@sundevil. It is so annoying, if you go back to main home page and enter via AD it works fine. @JC11 don't have it documented. We spoke to RERA and then emailed LL quoting as per UAE Law we were happy to renew as per the first year and that he would not be receiving 1 cheque but 4 as the first year and that by law he could not increase the rent after the first year. Told him we looked forward to receiving new contract and that if he needed any parts clarifying to contact RERA as we had. Got the contract a week later....

We were there too a minute or so after it happened, no services were there at that point. It turned my stomach too, would like to think it wasn't the result of careless speeding drivers. Hope everyone invloved survived.

If it is your first renewal then the LL has to renew on the same terms and amount as the first year, no argument. It is UAE law. If he wants to sell he has to give you 12 months notice. Obviously if your contract states non renewable then that is different. Your contract doesn't have to be registered with RERA in order for them to advise you.

No, Nad Al Sheba vets :) if he is bright dont worry too much ... Prob me just being oversensitive. No not at all, we had a little terrier once, and all of a sudden her tummy was huge, they did surgery to see what was going on and she had a massive tumour bless her. The vet rang us and said it would be the kindest thing to just not wake her up. Heartbreaking to just lose them like that. This boy of ours is a bit of a one, he has already done himself some permanent back damage, and when they are out of sorts it does make you feel anxious. He has just eaten some rice now as well, so will see if he keeps hold of it or not.

The Macaroni place (sorry cant think of the name) in Dubai Mall up behind the Aquarium is a hit with us. Its in the entertainer the food is great and if you can get there when its not too busy there are tables right at the front which have floor to ceiling views of the aquarium. Keeps our DD entertained for hours!!!! Macaroni Grill...

What is their reason for not granting admission. I worked closely with admission teams when I was back in the UK. Very emotive, and I would say that about 95% of people at went to appeal eventually got a place, however, I did work for a very small school in the country.

They told me that too. You can get ant powder but it is not safe for pets and children. The safe stuff is what you can't get. I wanted to get some cos the ants were eating my cat's biscuits and as they are expensive ones it is a nuisance to have to throw them away all the time. Yesterday I found an anti-ant bowl so am trying that. So far, so good! An anti-ant bowl!! That I am interested in, where did you find it? Any idea what it contains to repell them?
