The 2 year rule was scrapped quite a long time ago. The rent can go up after the first year, if the RERA rent calculator says it can.

If there's pain that's not good. I'd go back for a checkup to make sure there isn't an infection or you're not suffering from dry socket. When nerves heal you usually get tingling sensations.

We get ripped off big time here with regards to cost of clothing. Go into British stores like Next, Debenhams etc where they have the UK/EU price tags on and just slap the UAE price over the top, you'll find you're usually paying 25% more than the original price.

Good point about the snow, bear in mind that March is the very end of season in most places. We booked our original holiday to St Anton through Snowfinders - they're AMAZING! Also, have you thought about Bulgaria? It's very up and coming on the ski front and far far cheaper than other European destinations. Plus cheap flights there through FlyDubai or Wizz Air.

Wait till he gets to France. Once the season starts, they'll have all last years gear at knock down prices, so he'd be able to pick himself up a bargin. Forget online stuff like Amazon, you need specialist online sellers like Evo - they will also have loads of gear on sale.

Well sadly the forum has to adapt and change as per what its members want. 'Social' media, where people can interact with one another, privately message, arrange meet ups, have a laugh etc are what people want and why other forums / FB groups are 'winning' at this. If it doesn't adapt, it'll just die and that's that.

Could be a leak under the ground in the piping somewhere, OR heaven forbid, one of your neighbours has tapped into your supply. This happened to a friend of mine in Victory Heights, months and months of extremely high bills. The neighbour went away and it suddenly all went down. They'd tapped into their supply and were stealing their water to water the lawns etc.

Heard that there was a lot of 'drive-by' trick or treating this year. Are people really THAT lazy now? What is a drive by trick or treat?. Park outside the house, beep and wait for the occupants to come out with the sweets haha Pretty much yeah! Driving from house to house. Lots of it going on in Arabian Ranches apparently.

Well as a tenant and an owner. In the apartment I rent I pay for stuff like that and it's standard that anything below 500 dhs the tenant will pay for. Dust in ac's, broken taps etc are through usage from the tenant - therefore they should pay for it. As an owner, I've paid for things my tenant needed fixing or things that required servicing - over the 500 dhs amount, anything under, he pays for. If you use a company like Mplus they usually have offers and deals for servicing and cleaning. For the apartment I own, I also pay for a maintenance contract - so the tenant calls them if anything needs doing. So far so good.

Ok, so this is how it works, you can only stay for 90 days within any 180 day period, if you're here for 30/60 days you can exit and come straight back in again. It's only if you stay for the whole 90 days that you can't.

"Well, its a tourist visa after all. People can be sponsored by companies, universities or their spouses. " - not always they can't. Ok, so take my husband - German, so Schengen PP holder, he's a contractor who works 90 days on, 30 days off - obviously on his 30 days off he would come here to stay with me - I cannot sponsor him. So what are supposed to do now? So once he leaves after his 30 days, he can't come back until after 180? What about when we go on vacation in January? He would come in and then we'd leave together, come back together, then he'd go on contract again - we can't do this now? LOTS of people in this situation. FYI - no this does not apply to British PP holders, although we are part of the EU, we are not part of the Schengen visa system.

Then they try to find another foster home. Same for vacations, but no, it's not always easy and there are far more cats than there are people willing to foster them. So with regards to medical conditions etc, better to take your child to be in contact with a friends cat or something first. Bear in mind, that these are living, breathing, emotional beings. Being tossed from one home to another can be extremely traumatic and unsettling for them and it happens to many of these poor animals before they find a home, many never do.

Have you tried contacting the Vet Hospital? I don't think there are any MRI scanners for animals - unless one of the zoos has one in their veterinary department. You could try Al Ain and the Emirates zoo. Long shot but hey ho, sometimes you just gotta try.

I would also like to add for Wind777 that young kittens teeth - just like children so they will bite and scratch! So maybe not the best plan for a child. Maybe an older, calmer cat would be a better option. comp99 - with regards to your comment about fostering. The animal you foster usually stays with you until it can find a forever home - however, I've known so many foster fails, where the fosterer eventually ends up just adopting the animal. You're usually asked to try and help find that animal a home, through word of mouth, social media, give people an insight into its behaviour, what it's like etc. When a fosterer goes on vacation, usually another temporary foster home is found, until they return. There are hundreds of cats and dogs looking for homes and sadly some can be in foster homes for months or even years. It's very sad.

Sad to sad all the evening brunches are the other end of town, so you'll have to venture out of the marina bubble.

Well yes, because your alternator charges the battery and powers the electrical system. I've never known an alternator to make a high pitched noise - that's usually a loose fan belt. Alternators usually take time to die and the car struggles to start a few times before they conk out.

These are NOT part-time workers, they are FULL time workers, that just happen to work part-time for various people! Going in the bushes is natural for them? Please get off your high horse, get out your ivory tower and join the HUMAN race. Shameful comments. I completely agree. He's a human being not an animal !!!!! Personally I feel the OPs problem is the fact he turns up every day and not the two days he is meant to be there. I agree GE. It is out of order to do it on the days they're not working there.

BEFORE you even consider looking at a surgical option or taking loads of meds, make sure you are tested for digestive disorders - Celiacs, Crones, IBS, food intolerances. All of these can cause these problems. A good healthy diet with exercise is key in battling this. I very nearly went down the surgery route, but have managed to get it under control in other ways.

Thanks a lot ladies, obviously as parents we want the best for our kids. But if there are diseases which have been eradicated, then why the need for some vaccins? After all you are introducing a virus in the first place...which itself could trigger the disease.. Thanks again. They have NOT been totally eradicated, and thanks to people who decide that they might know better than the entire, world wide medical profession, and would rather trust to some Googled myth, they may never be wiped out. Ignorance, myth and fear will make sure of that. Vaccination does NOT trigger the disease, it stimulates the antibodies which prevent infection from that particular illness. We have actually known that for nearly 200 years. Please listen to your Dr, don't add to the problem, and get your baby vaccinated. Actually I'm going to correct you there - vaccines which use a weakened yet LIVE virus, CAN actually trigger symptoms of the disease - well known ones are measles and Polio, but the polio vaccine has been replaced in recent years to stop this. Measles however, has not and some people can show symptoms of the disease a few days after they have been vaccinated. When you're using live viruses, there is ALWAYS the potential for someone with a weakened immune system to develop symptoms of the disease - just not the full blown version of it. It's up to each parent to do their own research and do what they feel is best for their child. Don't forget that the pharmaceutical industry is worth billions of dollars, and how weird was it that the doctor who 'allegedly' found a link was found dead floating in a river! Make your own mind up over that one.

Who have you been applying too? For these roles there will be far more applicants than there are jobs, so employers will really have the pick of the bunch and they are more likely to employ someone who is already here. In these roles the hours will be very long and very varied, so unfortunately, they're more likely to oick younger, single people for these roles. It's certainly not a male only profession. It's a relatively small industry here and 100% it's all about who you know, not what you know, which is pretty standard in the media anyway. Really not sure what to suggest.

You should be able to withdraw cash from any credit card, but you usually have to set up this facility with the bank first and set up an ATM pin number. Just bear in mind because the cash goes as credit on the card and doesn't come from your bank account, that the interest on cash withdrawls can be horrific. Seriously think twice before doing it.

If you're doing it using the finger prints then it has to be done in Abu Dhabi, they won't do it in Dubai. You have to go to the General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police. You can either mail it to them, but it can then take weeks to do, whereas if you go in person it takes a couple of days. It might have changed in the last couple of years. But I couldn't do the one for my friend in Dubai.

Interesting question as I was also curious about this. I actually called and ask. They do member geotagging, so in some countries with strict rules on what can and can't be shown, those movies/shows won't appear. But for the UAE she said everything is in it's original form and not edited. I guess because you're paying for it and watching in the privacy of your own home. To use Netflix, you need a 3 letter device that can't be named.
