Not convinced you can do it on your face. Laser technology works on pigmented hair - i.e. dark hairs, it doesn't work on blonde hair, which is what most of us have on our faces.

You need to do a few beginner lessons in that case. Did a few myself in the past. The instructors are nice and it's loads of fun. I don't know about the packages though as I just did individual lessons. To be brutally honest though, it's not the greatest place to learn. Book yourself a weeks ski holiday, put yourself in ski school for a week and you'll come out the other side being very competent. Nothing like learning on actual slopes on fresh powder.

Never mind - some people will just never get it. When the proverbial poop hits the fan, and we sit and say 'told you so', don't expect us to do anything. We'll just shrug and walk away.

I wondered how long it would take before Europe and the US got the blame. You can't keep blaming them for everything. Plus maybe the reason 'some' of us feel so strongly about this, is because WE have fathers, husbands, brothers, sisters, daughters out there fighting and serving. WE sit there day after day, hoping they don't show up wearing an orange jumpsuit, or come home in a body bag - if at all. But they go and they serve and they fight, mostly to try and preserve the life YOU and others enjoy and so that we're not taken over by lunatics, **** bent on mass slaughter. Our service men and women serve for a pittance - they get no thanks, nor rewards and are treated appallingly if and when they return. Maybe spare a thought for those families. So, yes, when we see able bodied and fit young men, who could clearly fight for something it's annoying.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-34172729 Germany has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the EU at just 6.4 percent also the population is falling. Germany's population will shrink from 81.3 million in 2013 to 70.8 million in 2060. Fair enough and I stand corrected on that. But still, it doesn't give people the right to demand to go to certain countries, walk in the door, expect to walk into a job, have a house over their head and benefits. Sad to say, it's turning out a LOT of the so-called refugees, are not at all, but economic migrants. As I've said before, genuine refugees in desperate need of help, deserve all the help they can get and that's how it should be. All these other people are just opportunists. What's also sad to see are the sheer numbers of young, able bodied men in these crowds - go back, pick up arms and fight for your country!

It's a shame it's people that needs help if it would have been illegal hunting of lions or tortured dogs and cats, some would maybe have more compassion and wouldn't expect them to pay back for all the costs involved of helping. Really? Shocked and quite appalled you would even make that comparison - they are not mutually exclusive and people can care for both. Low blow that - really low.

If it was me I'd go to the nearest "safe" country and then take it from there. Yes, and so would I. As I said, I don't think one can pick and chose when at the mercy of getting help/refuge. Whether you like it or not, the current world is made up of countries with borders. Most people cannot just like that select where they want to live. Yes, if you have money (and a lot of it) you can live nearly wherever you want. Us others usually live where we work and are at the mercy of the employer/sponsor/husband. I would LOVE to live in France. At the moment it is not possible due to the practical reasons that I cannot master French and we cannot afford to move. So we plod along and hope that one day we've worked hard enough to realise our dreams. Why shouldn't they chose where they live? They know Germany will take them, they know they have a great healthcare system and schools. They know they will be housed and they know they will find work. They know they will find work? Really - Germany has massive unemployment at the moment - many German citizens can't find work, can't claim benefits, lack housing - why should people coming in get in when the citizens can't? My husband is German, he can't find a job in his own country, he doesn't get benefits, healthcare etc. So why should anyone else over him? NO one has the right to choose where they get to live - only if you're eligible for visas, residency, citizenship etc - these rules apply to EVERYONE.

Of course it's no acceptable for people to live in refugee camps, I don't think anyone feels that's a reality. And yes, you might well be right that much of the apprehension is due to fear, but what do you expect, when many European countries are already being changed from the inside out, from people who refuse to assimilate in the predominant way of life and just enforce theirs? And now you have certain groups that have made it known that they will infiltrate European countries through the use of refugees - so really, what do you expect? This is why I keep saying time and time again, it HAS to be done properly. Authorities NEED to know who these people are. Are they genuine asylum seekers? Or just opportunists? People in the first category 100% need assistance, the others should be denied entry. Also many of us feel very annoyed, that help is being given hand over fist to people coming in, when we have many servicemen and women, who have fought for their country, lost limbs and suffered terribly and they're abandoned with nothing. And really I don't care as sadly some people do seem to live in fairyland sometimes and don't understand the reality of situations.

it's not that people don't want to help or don't want them at all. It's the way in which it's being done. There are laws that govern what happens as I have explained before. You can't just say 'I want to go to this country', and shun all the help offered to you. And no Europe is certainly not able to cope with this influx and people should stop thinking it is. Each country can only take a certain number, which is why people are told which country then can go to. Otherwise you are going to have a massive imbalance of some countries taking on more than they can cope with and others who can take many but are getting few numbers because people 'don't want to go there' - which is exactly what is happening in Hungary right now. I really don't get why this is so difficult for people to understand.

Ok, well here's a thing. Hungary is trying to do things by the book. They put many refugees on trains and sent them off, only when the destination arrives - it's to a facility where people will be given shelter, food medical attention etc and then be processed to see how they can be helped. What happens? They all refuse to get off the trains and DEMAND they go to Germany! And you wonder why people are getting fed up of this? At what point do you cease to become a refugee and become an economic migrant? Why is it so many people are questioning the motives of many of these people? Because of instances like this. Also people need to realise that seeking refuge in other countries does NOT give you citizenship. In many cases, you may stay until your country of origin is deemed safe, then sent on your merry way.

Pfff what a typical, 'easy' throw back reply. But that's the other thing. Why is nothing being done to make their country safe? To rebuild it and make it a place people want to be? (sadly I know the answer to this and it's shameful). There is something fundamentally wrong. You just sit there and think everything is an easy fix, it's not. You can't take one situation and then make a big mess somewhere else. This has to stop. Other countries need to help - I don't see anyone broaching that situation (well we have but the posts get deleted) - go read all the comments on the press stories and the global opinion is people are appalled and ashamed at the lack of assistance. Some of you think things are so easily fixed, that other countries are able and capable to take all these people - sadly NOT THE CASE. Possible if done properly, but not in the way you suggest.

People should be able to live wherever they want? Oh if only it were that easy! The EU laws governing refugees state, that a refugee must find refuge and apply for asylum in the first safe country they land in. Applications are then processed and refugees are then sent to countries that can offer help and this is based on land mass, population, economic viability etc. The EU has the numbers as to how many refugees each of its member states can take in and cope with. When you have people who do not do this, and press on into other countries, that is a different decision making process. You then have the issue of some countries having more people than they can cope with and others who can take on more, having less, simply because people would rather go to one country or another. Certain other countries are refusing to help and seem to do nothing, when in fact they are the ones who should be opening their borders and assisting, instead of making this a 'European refugee crisis' - which it's not at all. BBC News had an interesting article as to why Syrians are heading to Europe instead of 'certain' other countries. Also look up the world bank data on how many refugees each country in the world currently has - that is a complete eye opener, and 'some' countries should be ashamed. There was also an article with the father of the little boy that drowned this morning - heartbreaking and tragic to read. BUT the thing that stuck out? They were trying to get to CANADA!!! CANADA - how many safe countries inbetween? Why oh why risk yourselves unnecessarily. They probably didn't choose to go to Canada because it would be fun to see a moose. It's not always realistic to go to nearest 'safe ' country. They will have weighed in where it would be possible to have a future and be able to secure jobs and education. Do you really think you are in a position to judge these people? Are you NOT judging by saying people should be allowed to go wherever they want? Seriously? If you are fleeing from war, persecution and murder, ANY safe country is better than what you're running from. What country does have secure jobs right now? Seriously cloud cuckoo land some of you.

Well new measures are going to be put in place to assess people refugee status and those found to be migrants jumping in with them, or those from safe countries will be sent back. Europe simply cannot cope with this.

You can drink fluids - water and low or zero calorie drinks. I usually have better workouts on fasting days as well. Fasted workouts really ramp up the calorie burn.

I don't think we should accept the 'junk food revolution' at all! This promotes being unhealthy and I would strongly disagree that people are becoming more accepting of it - when chains like McD's are closing 100's of outlets across the US - people are in fact shunning the fast food culture. Having curves is fine, but I don't think being too curvacious to the point of being unhealthy should be encouraged, nor celebrated.

Skinny, is not the norm, nor is it healthy either and the majority of women can't achieve, and shouldn't want to look like the scrawny models you see - sadly many fashion houses are still stuck on the 'Heroin chic' look. Another movement that's going against the grain is the 'Strong not Skinny' one. Women with muscles, who lift weights, workout like trojans and are proud of their 'guns' and 6 packs.

As others have said, if you have electronics close to you i.e. the laptop you're watching, phones, routers etc this can interfere with sleep. Shut it all down and move it away from you. Certain foods can be massive triggers to this sort of thing, especially like eating dairy or sugar close to bed time, red wine, chocolate, cheese - plus eating in general close to bedtime can also be a factor.

Many of the buildings are actually completed now - lots of people living there. Have friends there and they seem to like it. Sky Courts close by has a small supermarket and they were developing a shopping complex in The Villa, which is also close by - not sure how far they got with that though

Hello all new to this forum! I got married civil in Cyprus back in 2012...i'm 5 mo pregnant and it occurred to me that they might require some sort of attestments on our wedding certificate (silly me 2 years late). Anyway we're getting that sorted now, but during this time, another thing came to our attention. I am lebanese Muslim, my husband is Lebanese-British Christian. Now both our embassies are saying it is better to have our baby outside of Dubai :( because i'm registered as Muslim. Has anyone else been through this? I desperately need advice Hey, I'm in the similar situation; i'm Muslim and my husband is not! we got married in Cyprus in 2012 and in the wedding certificate mentions my religion and my husband's :( We were living in Dubai but moved to the UK last year but we're thinking about coming back to Dubai next year. I haven't attested our wedding certificate yet :-s I'm wondering if you've managed to attest yours in Dubai? and also did you have your baby there? (Congratulations BTW :) ) Congratulations on resurrecting a thread that is TWO years old! The Posters probably isn't even around anymore.

We had our wedding reception in the small ballroom on the lobby level. It was stunning. They made up a special menu for us of dishes because we wanted a mixture of British/German cuisines and they did a fabulous job. We had a massive red velvet wedding cake - my choice :-) I hired my own dj and some of the sound system. If you bring your own alcohol, you'll be charged a corkage fee per bottle. We were given a suit for the night and any of our guests who wanted to book rooms, were offered discounts. Their wedding planner was amazing and paid attention to every tiny detail. We had a fabulous time.
