Given that they are 'children' it's highly unlikely that the police would do anything serious - but what would be good, if the police went and educated them on how their reactions are wrong and the possible consequences of their actions in future. Where are the parents of these horrible kids?

Completely illegal! Also goes against facebook rules, so you can report the group directly to them, but the police can actually get involved as posting info about other people without their permission is against the law. What horrible children.

Dr Suhail at the GMC on Beach rd is brilliant. He refused to give up (like many others had - including Mediclinic) when I was ill for so long and has been the only person to actually do something for me. I can't recommend him enough.

Thank you for the advice Fairydust. I will be going to RERA and see what options I have left. Please let us know what they say, as updates and feedback are always useful. Good luck.

What about the bottles purchased from Duty Free? Technically you can consume it only at home, with or without license :D Legally you're required to have a license to consume, transport and have alcohol anywhere.

Just to add to my original post. My tenancy contract says 'non-renewable' therefore I believe it is INVALID. The letter send via registered mail is signed by agent and is not the landlords signature, even though the letter is presented as though it is from the landlord with agent writing cc. and his name underneath. Is this valid? Again, still not a notarised notice but has been sent via registered mail. Well unfortunately for you, a 1 year non-renewable contract IS valid, if accompanied by the 12 months notice. If the agent has legal right to act on behalf of the LL, then also valid - my agent has power of attorney to act on behalf of my LL. I hate to say it, but doesn't look like you have much option but to move out and see what happens. You should speak to RERA though.

'you can file a case against him at RERA and you will win. And you will get compensation. I've heard of people getting an entire year's rent as compensation!' NOT necessarily! As I said, exactly this happened to my friend - they had a water tight case, it took 5 months, cost them quite a bit and their case was thrown out. Don't count on the law being on your side, depends who's sitting in the hot seat on the day and what mood they're in.

Well this is where it's a bit of a grey area, as the rules state that 12 months notice can be given by notary public OR registered mail - so technically. your notice has been given legally. I've had friends go through this recently and their only option was to move out and then file a case with the rent committee - which sadly they lost BTW even though they had a water tight case. If he hadn't given you the notice then I'd be saying, write your cheques and leave them with RERA for him to pick up and get them to renew your contract, but the fact that he has given you notice and in one of the correct methods, you might not have a choice but to leave. Then, if you discover that he's re-rented it for a higher price, file a case. It's rubbish, but what to do.

I was meant to be moving this month, as my husbands company is based there so he is also based there, but with all the recent massacres in Kenya, we decided that it just wasn't particularly safe at the moment. I didn't fancy living in a compound with razor wire and cut glass on the walls, being home before dark, not keeping a schedule etc. You don't just go out and wander round on your own. Having spoken to wives of his workmates, many of them are fed up of pretty much having no life and being confined to the house most of the time and it's certainly no life for children as they have to be accompanied everywhere.

Usually the lower price is just for mole removal. If they have to biopsy it, then that's the higher cost. Best thing to do for insurance purposes is get a referral from your GP or dermatologist.

Maybe you just need to give your nails a break. If you constantly have manicures and constantly have polish on, it does weaken the nails. Sometimes they just need to be allowed to breathe.

Flown with them a few times, they're fine. Their flights costs are actually starting to become more inclusive - such as hand luggage, checked luggage included now, whereas before it wasn't. They're also now experimenting with in-flight meals on certain routes. I like them.

Maybe he could volunteer to help out at the K9 Friends shelter for a few weeks? I'm sure they would appreciate anyone that is willing to go and assist with the dogs, especially at this time of year. Or any of the rescue groups in fact. You could also contact the Dubai Autism centre or the Noor school for special needs children to see if they take on volunteer - especially helping out with activities. You could also contact the Emirates school for riding for the disabled - I'm sure they'd love to have him help out at the weekends. I hope that helps :)

Just had mine redone at Chi Nail Spa, Motorcity - no charge for removal. Plus if I'm honest, the way their technicians apply it, it seems to last a lot longer than other places I've had it done.

Louise did an excellent job of promoting awareness, rescuing, fostering, adopting and neutering - Kris just used it as a face saving exercise. When asked if he would like to go and see the work the rescue groups do, his response was 'I have already' - no he hasn't - FACT!!! Considering he posts pictures of himself posing with guns etc he doesn't give a damn about his social responsibility.

Are they still charging for removal, if you have gelish put back on? I know it's usual to charge if you take it off, then have a standard manicure. But to charge for removal, when you're having it reapplied is a bit much.

Why would he stop being part of the family? He has Kendell and Kylie with Kris and the older children were raised by him after their own father died and treat him as such. To say, he'd stop being part of the family is silly.

Is the property price one your mortgage guarantee cheque? If so, then gosh no. A managers cheque is basically like handing over cash - so you ahve to have the cash in your account, as soon as they issue it it's like making a cash withdrawl for that amount. The mortgage guarantee cheque is a normal undated cheque. edited by FairyDust on 09/05/2015

Amir is actually a really nice guy and yes I have trained there. He does say stuff to provoke and I will agree with the comments in the article--it might have been harsh but I think the woman is taking it way out of proportion. He had called me out on some of my bull**** justifications and excuses, but all it did was benefit me, and keep me honest with myself. And sorry, fat is fat. It is not an insult, it is a descriptive word just like "tall" is. (not that I go around calling people that!) They do select people who apply to the gym who they think will work hard and follow the program and I guess you could call it a QC issue because they offer a money back guarantee. Plenty of "fat" people train there; that is not what matters. They are out to make changes in people's lives. Spoken like someone who is truly brainwashed by their MO. You don't 'select' people you 'think' will work hard, you have to give EVERYONE the opportunity to make changes, not be elitist. And there are many excellent trainers out there who don't harp on about being the most 'expensive' and don't call people 'fat' - they encourage and motivate appropriately and their clients get results. Sorry but these people are idiots. And if Amir wants to go around calling people FAT - he might want to stop and think how stupid he looks with his obviously dyed beard!!!! edited by FairyDust on 08/05/2015

Their facebook ads are appalling 'Here's your chance to train with Dubai's most expensive trainer' - who cares?! What people should care about is their qualifications and ability to get results. These guys are nothing more than egotistical muscle heads - stay away from them. They give the entire industry a bad name.

I use Herbline Essentials SPF 40 sunscreen lotion. It's brilliant, all natural ingredients and isn't greasy and doesn't sit on the skin. My dermatologist said forget using anything over 50 SPF, as those sunscreens are just full of chemicals.

We have a similar issue, a new neighbour has a dog that howls during the day when it is left alone. I;m an animal lover so don't want to complain as i understand that the dog is lonely. Unfortunately it has now started to howl from around 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning and the owners don't seem to do anything about it! How are they sleeping through if it's howling at those times in the morning? You do need to speak to them about that. My dogs sometimes howl if something upsets them and I'm not their - it mortifies me.

Nomad I could not agree more with you, it’s disgraceful that anyone would thumb down a post on that thread. The whole thumbs thing needs to be removed as it is being misused. It's always been misused and was always going to be about the poster not the post...we've all had innocuous posts mercilessly downthumbed and always will until they stop letting people who aren't logged in use them... Yup happened to me earlier, gave the valid reason why a naming and shaming post would ahve been deleted - nothing but thumbs down. Why? For giving the 'facts'? Ridiculous.

I've had that for years - causes me excruciating pain, usually when I've been lifting heavy weights, the spaces between the discs narrow trapping the sciatic nerve and the muscles inflame decreasing it further. I haven't looked at a surgical yet as it's too invasive and I would only look at that, if I got to the point where it was seriously affecting my mobility. The guys at I saw for physio were great for this and I had to rein in all my activities and do things a bit differently to protect my spine - I also have disc erosion and scoliosis. It is possible to help it without surgery, which as I said should only be looked at,as a complete last resort.

What are they saying is the problem? Different physios work in different ways. I went to several, who didn't do much for my back. Then I went to Excellency at Souk Al Bahar - they're quite new - but they sorted it within a few weeks as their approach is slightly different. Look at alternatives and consider surgery the absolute last resort. edited by FairyDust on 27/04/2015
