Maus are playful and super loving..... i have breeds and maus and the maus are more playful, cheeky and loving ..... My little foster fella now picks up balls in his mouth and plays 'fetch'! It's the funniest thing to see. He's so clever.

For something like that, I'd head straight to the specialists at the Neuro-Spinal hospital and have an MRI and a CAT scan done. These will show far more details than an x-ray. It could be all sorts, trapped nerves, spinal compression, muscular. You can see a GP for a referral first if your insurance requires it, or just go straight there.

I would say please look at kittens with an open mind, as very often the animal chooses you and not the other way around. The Arabian Maus are such adorable cats, with super personalities and are just adorable. I see so many dumped Persians, it's not even funny. Bin Kitty, Animal Actiona Abu Dhabi, SNIFF, Feline Friends, Sharjah Cats and Dogs shelter - all bursting at the seams with cats looking for their forever homes.

Dont buy, adopt! You are getting a healthier dog, that already has been treated. You not only saving cost but dogs that come from shelters come with better personalities. You would also be supporting a shelter that is trying hard to support and save dogs, cats and other animals. Everybody wins. When you adopt, you save two lives. The dog you give a home and the dog that takes it's place, which can then look for a home ;)

Hi Marroosh, Salt cravings can mean a few things - you're dehydrated, so need to drink more then 1 litre a day, you actually need to double that. You need more minerals - many minerals taste salty, so when we are deficient in them, we crave salt. Sodium is really important to many bodily functions, but too much is obviously a problem. Salt cravings can mean an underlying medical issue, such as slow adrenal glands, so that really needs checking. With food cravings, you have to bear in mind that processed, pre-packaged and junk foods ALL contain ingredients that make us crave them, hence we want to eat more of them. If you start clean eating i.e. make everything yourself from scratch, good, clean healthy foods, those cravings dramatically reduce - it takes time and there can be side effects, such as headaches, lethargy etc but it's basically your body detoxing and getting rid of all the bad stuff you put in it. I would go an have a blood test done to check your mineral levels and adrenal levels and go from there.

I agree with the others, pretty much 99% of people I know, who stupidly bought puppies from pet shops or dodgy breeders have ended up not only paying thousands initially for the dog, but then having to shell out thousands in vet bills due to all the issues and health problems many of them have. Not only is it a sheer and utter waste of money, when there are hundreds of dogs - pedigrees included (yes they get dumped too) looking for homes, the ethical side of it is appalling, because there simply are no ethics involved. All the rescue organisations are inundated with puppies at the moment. Please take a look at them.

It's simple - if you accept an invitation you show up. If you can't make it you let the host know ALWAYS. No excuses. And if you've lost or don't have the details as they said? Basically what a humiliation for the children, all over 16 quid. The way the mother went about it is completely out of order. Plus if the venue have said they don't charge for no shows, what are they being asked to pay for exactly? Pathetic people the lot of them.

Rice helps to draw moisture out of things, that's why when you drown a phone, everyone's advice is to put it in a bowl of rice. You can try this - leave it for a day.

to be hoenst - if you say your child is going to a party where numbers are needed and paid for in advance and then you decide to do sowmthing else instead - you should pay. Then the parents are stupid for not collecting the money in advance then!

See that is thing i don't know what to do for the best but at the time the landlord was threatening us with his lawyers. Nothing is clear cut is it.... See that's the thing, a threat and an empty one at that - nothing legally he COULD have done. People get scared and give in too easily. RERA would have told him to take a hike. I suggest speaking to them now and see what they advise. edited by FairyDust on 19/01/2015

I didn't see the program your referring to, but people should know if they are eating halal/kosher meat. Here I know its all Halal, at home I expect it to be labelled if its Halal/Kosher as opposed to the other way around, People have a right to know and make an informed decision. Not everyone that doesn't want to eat Halal meat is an uneducated nitwit that thinks their meat has been spiked! [b'>I would prefer not to eat Halal meat but I have no choice here and I fully accept that[/b'>. At home I have a right not to. [b'>Thankfully back home I've seen my dinner raised from the field all the way to the fork[/b'>. edited by mannikat on 19/01/2015 I honestly don't see what the big deal is between the 2 for non-muslims. The animals are raised the same... just slaughterd differently. It is that very difference which is the "big deal". For many people it is less a matter of religious observance, cultural preference or even culinary taste, it's about the ethics. Yes it is a BIG deal to many. Here we have no choice, elsewhere I refuse to eat Halal meat. Which is why I barely eat meat here at all.

It really depends. You shouldn't have given in to start with as nothing he did was above board or lega, you should have fought it BEFORE you moved out. I know someone who has recently gone through this, and they lost their case - the rent committee told them, the LL hadn't harassed them enough and they just gave in. Sadly it could be a case of who you get at the end of the day.

Well while some people might be able to take it as a pinch of salt, to others, when they've written an informative post or something which definitely wouldn't justify a single thumbing down, some posters use it as a way to attack others. It can be quite hurtful if you take it that way. Some posters are sensitive and not everyone has a thick skin.

Runaway.....very....quickly! He's acting very much like a single guy. Sounds like he's not ready to settle down yet. The fact that he's prepared to spend small fortunes entertaining and impressing his friends and nothing on treating the woman he supposedly loves and is set to marry - says it all. Don't 'settle' - he doesn't sound worth it to be honest. edited by FairyDust on 14/01/2015

Don't bother with Slim Fast, it's literally loaded with sugar - those things are not good for you. I tend to use the Gold Standard Whey protein powders. Or Nature's Plus Spirutein protein powders are also good and come in smaller tins. Yes Im definately looking for sugar free. where do you get the natures plus ones? Most health food stores will carry them and also some Life pharmacies.

Just a terrible act of violence and hate. Sadly it's looking like these aren't 'lone wolves' as they've been linked to a Yemeni group. Thoughts to the families and the people of France, who now have to hold strong, call for peace. Why can't people just get along?

I have a few friends who've not vaccinated their children, mostly due to what's in them like formaldehyde, which is used as a preservative. Each to their own, research and make an informed choice. With my brother, my mother chose to do separate vaccinations, as when she initially went, she had a gut feeling that the combined one just wasn't right. But it is fair to say, that many childhood diseases, which were we;; on their way to being wiped out, are now back with a vengeance because of so many people choosing not to vaccinate. I got the measles THREE times even after vaccination. So they don't always work.

So I wonder why all the newspapers, magazines and radio advertisements refer to "hops" or grape" or bubbly" or "house beverages" instead of "beer", "wine", "champagne" or "alcoholic drinks"? Because you're not really allowed to openly advertise it - hence the alternative words. Which is why Heineken were always called the 'green can company'. On forums like this it's no big deal, but in media it's a no no.

It's not worth the risk to be honest. But gosh did we used to do some stupid things. I recall one NYE in my first years here, wandering down beach road trying to get somewhere with friends - yes we'd had a few and had a couple of bottles in a bag. We thumbed a lift with what turned out to be an unmarked cop car - they thought it was hilarious and even dropped us where we needed to go. So they're no always THAT uptight. But that was way back then. Wouldn't even think of that now.

Would like to know what's cooking in other homes, as this was pretty much what we had last year too. ... Sounds delicious! Maybe an Eton Mess for pudding I thought that! Classic dishes are the BEST! All sounds yummy.

20 years is a huge chunk of your life Nomad and it's terrible that sadly, we will always tend to outlive our pets. They're part of the family, children to many and they share everything we do. We grieve for them as we would any loved one and it takes a long time. Every time I go through it I say 'never again' - but here I am, another 2 dogs, as I just love my fur babies too much not to have any animals around. They do bring something special into your life:dog::cat::)
