While it seems to work for many people, one thing to bear in mind is that there are hundreds of strains of the flu virus. The jab relies on the scientists picking the right one for that particular time. Hit and miss really.

Children can be so mean sometimes. Regardless of why they're picking on your son, just remind him that bullies are all cowards and usually run in the other direction if actually confronted. Bullies will always pick on others for seemingly silly reasons. They're not worth him worrying about. I hope he's ok and the attitude of the instructors is appalling.

Just horrific for all involved. I get that children learn to shoot for competition etc - I used to. But there are certain weapons you train with and use at different ages, an UZI for a NINE year old is insane! On the automatic function, there's no way they'd have enough body weight to counter and control the kickback. One would only hope some serious lesson are learned here and better legislation and control brought in. That poor girl and her parents? Well I can't type what I think of them. RIP the poor instructor.

Importing it has nothing to do with it, On the contrary importing has EVERYTHING to do with it! Because fuel costs (one of the major contributing factors), the cost of transport to the destination etc are all factored in as well. Also depends whether a product is imported in bulk, or just a few pieces. Then overhead costs of the retailer are taken into account. Most products from the UK are priced higher in the UAE, than they are in the UK.

Firstly, get one of the Etisalat data packages, otherwise it's going to eat through your credit everytime you are connected to data away from wifi. Make sure all your apps are turned OFF, for updating automatically as this also uses lots of data. I don't think it will sync BB contacts - never got mine to do it. Not sure why it's duplicating contacts. icloud is a life saver - when I drowned my phone all my data just reinstalled automatically when it connected to icloud.

Head to a pharmacy and get a product called Absolute Dry - honestly the best thing I've ever used. You just apply once a week and that's it. It's brilliant.

Thanks. SarahLou - if you wanted to contest or say you didn't receive it, since no one had signed for it - could you have? We are just concerned the tenant turns around saying he did not receive anything? This is the 12 months notice. Our concern is that it has been 2 weeks now and if we had not kept on following up with our property agents, they would never have bothered to tell us...We just want to do the right thing as landlords. Have you called RERA to ask? I would certainly say, if it's not signed for, it's not received - not as far as I'm concerned anyway. Same as if someone else at their place of work signs for it, they can easily say it was never passed on. Better to cover all your bases on this one I reckon. That's appalling! Without a signature from the person who is supposed to receive it, it can be claimed it was never delivered. I wouldn't accept that.

Countries are denouncing outside interference lol. Did they do the same when the USA was interfering? Al Jazeera have had good reports on it. Thing is, they'll be using weaponry bought from the USA and they'll be annoyed that it is being used for this. To be honest I find it odd, out of all the conflicts going on, they chose this one? There's no gain here.

Stories covering ISIS, Ebola and the Russia/Ukraine issues will dominate as these are potentially global threats, over localised stories. Plus people don't want to see doom and gloom all the time, so they mix it up with other stuff. I turn on the news, then turn it off - it's all far too depressing. Also pretty sure the UAE will get a 'thump' shortly, due to their air attacks alongside Egypt in Libya. <em>edited by FairyDust on 26/08/2014</em>

Oh gosh no way FairyDust H&P are just awful, I agree with the below! Too young for the audience I think listening to Dubai 92. I am now listening to Daisy & Kenny Show on Radio 2 - they kick the bum out of anyone on Dubai 92, except maybe Natalie. Too young? lol well I think you can expect more of the same as that's the way 92 is going these days. K&D are fun, always upbeat and lively.

I think they should keep Harry & Pricey. They're far better than CB & GB who, let's face it, after 7 or so years on the breakfast show need putting out to pasture and some younger, fresh talent taking over. Can't stand them. I think you'll find all the celebs donated as well as doing the challenge. BUT it has been high-jacked by people just seeking attention and just doing it for 'likes' and 'follows'. It's come in for controversy aswell. As the majority of donations got towards research and not necessary patient care. Plus the National ALS arm doesn't always share donations with local branches - so they're on their own. There have been issues in certain areas with boxes losing signals at the moment. Ours was on the fritz last week. I always power everything off - turn it off at the socket as well - this forces a system reboots, whereas just turning the box off doesn't. Leave for 20 mins for all the power to drain out the appliance, then switch back on. Usually works. Same for routers as well.

It could also depend on the company. I had no choice, but to switch to the company visa Also I think it depends in which sector. If BOTH companies are government, only one set of benefits is given. Certainly that's the issue my parents had.

Yes you would. Why do you need to transfer onto another companies visa? You can work and stay on your husbands visa, all he has to do is give you an NOC and they apply for your labour card. If you go on the sponsorship of a company, they then provide you with a ticket and health insurance instead.

Just a couple of things to bear in mind though. Remember that technically sharing isn't allowed and since you wouldn't have a tenancy contract in your name, whoever does, is subletting, which unless they have written permission from the LL to do so is also illegal. So, should anything happen, you have no legal leg to stand on. A couple of friends have been caught out on this in the last year - paid 6 or 12 months rent upfront, only for the LL to find out and boot everyone out and keep their money. Be VERY careful with this.

I don't think there's actually a way to repair burned hair, because it's been too badly damaged. Only thing you can do is wait for the damaged area to grow out or cut it off. No about of products will fix it.

Perhaps 'attacked' is not the correct term to use. BUT cyber bullying IS! And there are quite a few bullies on any forum. However, it's part of the course of joining anything online, you'll always get positive and negative - take the positive and ignore the negative, because the bullies feed off people getting upset and what they don't realise, is that their harsh words can actually be quite upsetting sometimes. Sarky comments are just that. Take it with a pinch of salt.

Lots of puppies in desperate need of homes with all the rescue organisations. I would say, go and look at some with an open heart and mind, as very often a dog chooses you and not the other way around. When I was looking for a dog, I visited a lady who was fostering loads of them, she did lots of rescues for Animal Action. The wee pup we took home, was a tiny runt, disabled and looked funny with most of his hair missing due to malnourishment etc. But he scooted into our laps and stared up at us and that was that. Now he is the most handsome, beautiful boy, with a super personality and temperament and his disability doesn't mean anything to him or us. Adopted dogs are ace. Plus, you know, mutts are dogs in their natural state. Pure breds are man-made, genetically altered freaks much of the time. <em>edited by FairyDust on 18/08/2014</em>

Saw a programme on just this the other day - many dry, itchy areas can be caused by fungal infections - which is why it's good to keep the area, dry and clean. I agree with GE, try a GP first then they can point you to a specialist if need be.

There are no shelters because there are too many strays and they are unwanted so the problem is solved by putting them down. Feline Friends cannot capacitate the numbers they get or pre-owner, once loved cats, but to home and feed thousands, because it is thousands, of unwanted cats is a large task. If you call the municipality I think it is the cat will be taken and put to sleep. I do not real who to call but if you look at 7 |Days in the opinions letters, some mane the other day sent a letter saying that X were called and they collected and put the cat to sleep. Sorry but most of this isn't true at all. There are no shelters, because there is no funding! The one shelter there is and all the rescue organisations are run by volunteers and donations they receive from the public. Cats are NOT put to sleep, unless this is a last resort. Even the municipality will try to find homes for cats that have obviously been pets and are abandoned. OP the best thing you can do is feed them and have them neutered. Organisations like Bin Kitty can get you a discount at certain vets. But honestly TNR is the way to go at the moment. <em>edited by FairyDust on 03/08/2014</em>

Weird as Cyprus is the go-to place for quickie marriages for people living in Dubai. They've never had issues. I think you need to get it attested though. Sounds like someone is giving you bad advice.

Hi all, appreciate your concern for the dog..the reason I don't want her in the house is very simple. We have plenty of friends with dogs and as much as their house is clean you can never get rid of the dog smell and dog hairs. I like my house clean, tidy and fragrant. She is well looked after and receives plenty of attention from all family members. Her kennel is being built tomorrow and her AC is ready for installation. Speechless........

Agree totally with RuthM. GSD dogs don't make good live out dogs. I've known a few and they've literally gone insane, become completely aggressive and incapable of being handled because people didn't bother with them. I had a collie x GSD - two super intelligent, hyper breeds - if she was left on her own for even a short period of time without stimulation, she was totally destructive. If you can't have it as an inside dog, give it the necessary exercise and mental stimulation which is required, I suggest you find it a home with someone who can. I don't say this to be mean, but in the best interest of the dog and you because the last thing you want, is to end up with a problem dog that can't be handled, it's not fair either way. <em>edited by FairyDust on 29/07/2014</em>
