You should DE-register the car, otherwise you will accumilate fines for now having it registered. There are companies that will buy cars for scrap or whatever. Why don't you just advertise it on Dubizzle - someone will take it.

I use the Bioderma SPF 100 for face - it's brilliant. To be honest I think a good moisturizing sunscreen, is far better than a moisturizer with sunscreen in it. Can it really be 100SPF? I tried some brands of moisturizing sunscreen but my skin didn't like it. That's why I am looking for moisturizer with SPF, to give it a try. It's basically sunblock Marroosh. To be honest it works well for my skin and leaves it feeling super soft - needs a while to sink in though. They also do a tinted version.

Surprisingly they're not cheap! Hubby travels back and forth to Jordan for work and he usually goes with Emirates or Royal Jordanian. With FlyDubai you can get flights at about 500 Dhs each way, but then you have to pay more if you want check-in luggage etc.

Usually the tenant pays for any landscaping and for a gardener. The when they move out, they can either ask the owner to purchase anything they've done, or rip it all out or sell it all off! Yep, I've known people sell their entire gardens.

If you can find a Kong brand chew toy they are indestructible. LOL not when it comes to my pooch - NOTHING is indestructible, but they're excellent toys. The Tuff toys are great as well, they're soft, they make frizzbee ones which are also fantastic for outdoor play.

I could see it, maybe, if the OP had carried on being a spendthrift- but she has not done so for the last 3 years. Even prisoners get pardoned and given a second chance. Where is the trust in the relationship? A relationship without trust is a pretty toxic one IMO. The OP has demonstrated over the last 3 years that she has controlled her spending so to me this is not about money - it is all about control. edited by Genie on 19/08/2013 3 years, becaue she's not had the means to. I completely understand, but it's a very difficult cycle to break. Which is why I also said, her hubby needs to relax a bit. I think definitely a budget is the way to go and it's crazy to not have cash etc for emergencies or necessities. Stick everything on a spreadsheet, keep track of what's going where and have a weekly/monthly budget. There are issues on both sides and it has to be worked on from both sides.

The point is, if you go on spending left, right and centre and never put anything away, then you never get a respite or have money on the side for when you REALLY need it. The sad fact is, some people are just rubbish with finances and many never get better at it and I fully understand OP's hubby's point of view and so far on here, no one has seen his side of it - I do.

I'll put another spin on it, as someone who does live with a spendthrift, it is VERY hard to trust people who aren't very responsible with money and no, in my experience, they don't ever really change. I'VE had to take over the finances and tell my hubby what goes where when he gets paid and tell HIM what his allowance is - otherwise it gets spent on ridiculous things. Every month it's the same, 'I promise I won't do it again' - does that change? Nope - FOUR years on! So I can fully understand why OP's hubby is acting why he is. He doesn't trust her with the cash and as a one income household, it would be very easy for things to get out of hand very quickly and we all know, you do not want to get into financial trouble in this country. For both parties, having a job is better than not having one. If you want to work and can get a job and are willing to start at the bottom and work up, then you also have to make him understand that, that's ok. He's being tight and frugal, yet he has unrealistic expectations of what you could potentially earn - well that's an issue on both sides. Perhaps if you went and got a job anyway, it would show responsibility from your side and he would relax a little. Like TDB I could never be a kept woman, in fact I have a pact with hubby that if we have kids, he's staying at home and I'm going back to work! I like my own financial security and independence and could never rely on someone else. But as I've said, there are issues on both sides here and you BOTH need to work it out.

It's just a bog standard barbell with removable plates. Any sports shop, Decathlon, GoSports etc will stock them. Sometimes they'll come in packs where you get a bar and a selection of weights, or you can pick and choose your own.

For the teething, doggy chews, **** ears, hide bones, marrow bones are all good things for them to get their teeth into - rather than your hands. My dogs baby teeth were so sharp it was like having a baby crocodile chewing on everything. They teeth and chew for a long time, so get used to it lol. While as they get older GR's will calm down, you have to remember this is a working breed, they're highly intelligent and need mental stimulation as well as physical exercise as they get older - if you don't meet their needs in those departments, they can potentially be quite destructive. Training is crucial, but your pup is a bit young at the moment for anything serious. Basic commands, toilet training and lots of play. Make life fun for the little one :-)

many airlines allow animals to be added as 'excess baggage' BUT they still go in the hold as cargo. Can be difficult if not booked in advance as usually airlines will only fly one set of animals at a time. You still need all your export/import paperwork. As has been said DKC can assist with info.

Be very aware of these companies... Not saying Euro Puppy, but do, as the previous poster mentioned, your research thoroughly. It was just reported, upon reading, on FB (airline mentioned but I will not) of importing puppies and kittens bought from abroad and crated into the country - 75% only survive. This says it all and it was reported by a very very informed person. Doesn't surprise me.I really don't know why people find it acceptable that ANY company would send a 'baby' let's face it that's all they are at 3-4 months half way round the planet. The stress alone would be enough to kill many, it must be terrifying for them.

I've had the same issue, it's now been 9 months since old LL inspected his villa, (which he sold as soon as I vacated by the way!) and he couldn't praise it enough about how clean and well looked after it was! To date, i've had so many empty promises like; 'I'm out of the country, as soon as I return i will contact you' and 'I'm not going to run off with your deposit'. Since leaving the old villa I have found out that my old LL is a very dodgy bloke, dutch/moroccan, wheeler dealer, he'd turn up at the villa in a brand new Ferrari one week then a brand new Aston Martin the next, fingers in pies type of guy!! No shortage of money there, which baffles me, as the amount of deposit he needs to return would be like pin money to him!! So i'm really reluctant to go to the Rents Committee because of the kind of person i'd have to deal with, i'd be constantly looking over my shoulder and i don't want to live like that, so i've now written it off as a bad experience and hope to god I don't come in contact with the likes of him again. I hope you get yours back without any further hassle very soon. Probably rental cars for 'show'. Sadly this is the reason why so many LL's get away with this behaviour is because people are afraid - yu shouldn't be - he's a thief! He's STOLEN your money at this point, why would you not go and make a complaint to get your cash back?

I am always telling friends to remove their location from twitter and facebook - we all know where they are when they are tweeting and "other" people could break into their homes when they are away! It's quite terryfing that due to downloadable software, someone can track your movements on a map using the geotagging from your phone.

The card provider can't do that for non-receipt of goods, as you can't prove it. The refund has to come from the supplier. THEY apply the refund to your card - yes I've had it done. But I use Paypal as the 3rd party, making it pretty easy.

To be honest I've never heard of paying water deposits. We bought our despenser and just get water delivered every week and give over a voucher for each bottle. Never paid any deposits.

ALWAYS keep a set of keys until they've given you your money back. I say 'No deposit, no keys'. Never had an issue. My new LL hasn't even bothered to cash my security cheque. I hope he realises they become useless after 6 months. I know someone who did this and when they had moved out the LL changed the locks Typical lol

Before you go to the hassle of getting recycling bins, actually check that whoever collects your rubbish actually sends it for recycling! Very often the garbage guys just chuck it all in the truck and it all just goes to landfill.

To be honest, why don't you just make some appointments with a couple of shops like them and Frost boutique, just to go and try some things on and get an idea of what you like. Many of the dresses can be bought much cheaper online.

I would honestly say, don't rush around looking for something as then you're least likely to find it. In my past experience, when you stop looknig and just concentrate on yourself and get on with things, then other elements naturally come into your life. A year is nothing to get over a long term relationship. Give yourself some time, do the things you enjoy doing, stop worrying and make YOURSELF happy. Our lives really shouldn't revolve around guys.

You ahve to get right out in the desert to see this. Going with the Emirates Astronomy group is great. The man that runs it is very knowledgable and he takes telescopes out as well. Don't expect to start coming home until about 4am.

Please note that advetising animals for sale on Dubizzle is NOT allowed, if you come across these ads, you must report it to Dubizzle, who will remove it and ban the user. Selling or breeding animals in the UAE without a Municipality license in illegal and carries big fines for those who try and get away with it. There are no ethical breeders in the UAE. There are no ethical pet shops - although they claim otherwise - in the UAE. I do understand that some people are after certain breeds, but please before sourcing a breeder, check with the rescue organisations as they have many pure breds that have been dumped. I will say this to anyone considering getting a dog or any other pet - an animal is for life, not just for your time in the UAE, it is not a fashion accessory or a status thing. That animal could be alive for 15-20 years and you must consider the cost of vets bills, looking after it as well as the cost of taking it with you when you leave, that not only consists of a flight, but all the paperwork, blood tests and potential quarantine of any country yuo might go to.

No this is not acceptable, by any stretch of the imagination. Please call 800900 which goes direct to the Municipality vet section, for reporting animal cruelty and welfare issues. They will esnd someone round to speak to the owner and check the conditions the dog is being kept in.

I've worked in places where we had a dedicated staff room to eat, but if not, we'd go into the restaurant - staff have to eat as well. It's upto the outlet where they let their staff eat and quite frankly no-one else's business. <em>edited by FairyDust on 09/08/2013</em>

If you have your residence visa, then you really should go and transfer your UK license to a UAE one - it's a relatively easy process and doesn't cost much.

Ugly, hideous things - especially worn with socks! Who does that? Having said that, living in flip-flops is so bad for your feet and you do need to wear shoes which offer some kind of support.
