i also think that including getting the right medication it is very important to get some input from a psychologist. i have a client who has bi polar and has been on medication for so long now that it doesnt really work. she needs psychology input to talk about things that trigger her getting upset and depressed. it is also good to write down what upsets and gets you down as it could help to avoid it if possible or get help around it. as ruth as said in her thread, doing excercise, and doing something you really like helps, if there is someone who can provide some sort of intensive interaction to you on a regular basis would help too. it helps to talk about things rather then bottle up.

hi all, i am from the uk too. i am thinking of opening a care agency here in AD that would provide home care/day care to adults/children with asd, learning disabilities, mental health etc. I have a similar business in london and would like to help out families who needs that kind of service at very reasonable prices. I have a team of psychologists, ot, nurses, support workers who are well trained to support the service. please advice me of what else is required if the above is not what you want like a day care, respite care etc.

hi rainbow yes if you got a licence to do business in dubai you cannot do it in Abu Dhabi. You will need one in AD too. I have checked that. Every region gives its own licence. Abit of a pain i think.

hi rainbowbaby, I am in the same position as you. i am planning to open a care agency here and I am looking advice and guidance as well. I have actually written to the UKTI - united kingdom trade international for their advice as they are helping small businesses open here in Dubai for those wanting to do it from the U.K. my business is a lot different to yours so the regulations will be different. I also heard that you can open in any Dubai free zone because the nature of your business is different. There also is an agency in Dubai which helps people to set up small business. the website is ; www.varaluae.com. you can contact them for advice.

Thanks. I do think that an agency would work very well. Something like what we have in London. Can the lady with the young child Please contact me. The one who is having support from someone To look after her child. I wonder also if someone would Know about the regulations. We are heavily regulated and rightly So in London. What help and resources can I help With if someone needs. Severely handicapped complex needs mild and moderate Learning disabilities and autism.
