Morning ladies, Can someone please confirm whether the public beach (near burj al arab) which is situated opposite the Umm Sequiem park is that closed off. Wanted to go tomorrow and its been ages since we have visited. Hope that's not the case. Very sad indeed. TIA. edited by Fr!zzyBusY on 03/11/2014

HI ladies, Sorry I've not post back. Busy time of the yr. Thank you all for your suggestions. I have taken them all on board. Some great 30 minute workouts which I can do at home which prefer as time is tight. I just read a post about gaining weight and eating less. I was in a similar situation but I was exercising and eating much less. The food intake was not enough hence why I was not losing. I've come to a conclusion and so far I've only lost 1kg not much but hey! its a start all down to my eating habits. I cook and eat the same things plus I'm working out 30 minute strength training. I must admit I love my food but it all down to portion size and moderation. I've not cut back on anything which I normally have and they are pretty much ok. I don't crave anything sweet which is a good thing, occasionally I do If I attend a party and that's a small piece. Also I believe its down to genetics my mum sister is huge and every time I think about her and I look in the mirror and think OMG am going to end up looking like her! LOL Thanks again ladies. On my way to lose another 1kg x

Few months back can't remember where I read the reviews but the Tefal Actifry voted better and it's a lot bigger too. The Philips Actifry they come in two different sizes which I saw back UK tbh they don't make a difference and I was put off buying because of the capacity inside. I be forever frying when I invite guests round. Once my old deep fryer packs up I'm opting for Tefal Actifry one :)

Morning ladies Apparently this morning find my phone picked up a virus called "Tapsnake" from my understanding I always thought smart phones automatically updates and clears any viruses or notifies you before entering a site. Is there an app for virus protection on Android? TIA This is a fake virus alert. Do not click on the link to download whatever software it offers to remove this threat. Go to your playstore and look up AVG. Download this software instead, and then do a scan of your phone with it. Once registered, the AVG will also be able to locate/shout/wipe off data in the event you lost your phone. Give it a try. Cheers!:D Thanks Sahara. Literally just did that. AVG seems to have good reviews so I downloaded the app. Thanks again.

That UAE needs a Superdrug? I love their skincare products, they're so cheap and always seem to be on sale! **Slams fists on table: We want Superdrug we want Superdrug!!!!** Agree Marroosh, 3 for 2 buy 1 get one free. There was great deal on the elnett heat spray which cost 5.99 it went down to 2.99!! I wanted to bring some back with me and they run out :(( Their makeup and makeup brushes a great too especially the real techniques range So yes! Superdrug all the way to Dubai please! Remember Marroosh if we have superdrugs here it wont be the same just like boots here really rubbish!

things like getting food in the fridge, kids back to bed at a normal time, home-cooked dinner on the table at a normal time. Although not much of a time difference between here and the UK, arriving back home at 3am after no real routine and very late bedtimes for the kids, has taken it's toll, along with emptying a shedload of suitcases. How do you get back to a reasonable schedule and how quickly. Hi mum2girls I've been back a week and a bit and still empting suitcases..I've yet to get the uniform sorted and the dreading big supermarket shopping at c4 and everything else in between. My 6 yr old going bed really late and waking up 9.30! Today was up slightly earlier so fingers crossed be in bed by 9 tonight. So your not alone...

Hi Izzy, I've been looking for the same. I remember when I first moved out here they had the deodorant and shower gel range in all the supermarkets. Its been a few years now that I've not seen in supermarkets. The Sanex for kids was great too which I used on my 6 yr old when we were back in the Uk. Sadly, that is not sold here either :(The equivalent is the Dettol range which in my opinion not at all great. Let me know how you get on with the sns. I've yet to order from sns just haven't had the guts to order anything just in case I lose them in the post.

Hi, Had no idea he was illegal. Especially they were advertised on dubizzle. I assumed they were genuine. Seriously, do you think its no point reporting him? Tried to call his boss no response. They have taken a few 100dhs from me for something they have not fixed properly but now beyond repairable. Tried calling him and the boss no answer. I so want to report him am so sick of dishonest people in this place. :(

Hey! i live in tecom. I just want a maid service that comes for cleaning one hour per week. please let me know of a maid service agency that provides one hour per week service. Most of the maid service agencies i have contacted have a minimum of two hours per week requirement. Hi there, Which companies are offering minimum 2hrs? It is very rare these days. I've also contacted a few and they are now 4hrs minimum.. Please can you share the names of these agencies which are still offering 2 hrs minimum? TIA

Around the mall itself there are big streets which are not normally that busy, it's easy, you'll be fine :) Hi Daza Thanks for that. Can you post the link again please..

Hi Ladies, So sorry for the tardy response. Am still on the search for that perfect moisturizer - no luck :( @ Puck - thanks for sharing certainly will look out and let you know. Usually my skin is less prone to spots unless its the time of the month. My skin is dry where my laughter lines; oily/shine t zone and normal everywhere else. @Celticcavegirl - great advice and thanks I was about to purchase the DDML or DDMG then I did a little search and came across the No7 range for all skin types - the women seems to think its all rounder for the type of skin I have so I wasn't too convinced and felt the consistency was slightly heavier. Will try the ones you have mentioned - would you know if they would have samples before buying? Thanks again.

Hi all, I've been searching for a while now and they seem to have either oily/combo, normal/combo or dry/combo. I'm none of these skin types. I had a mini facial not long ago and was told I had combination skin only; with some parts dry, oily and normal.. Anyone can share which cream/lotion to purchase and of course preferably with UVA/SPF. So sick of trekking the malls and going into shops that only want you to try and buy the high end products. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry ladies for the late reply and thanks for your responses. I've checked in Spinneys and Geant still no luck. Though I spoke to a member of staff at Carr4 in MOE whether there is a chance of getting them imported over here. He said will check with manager - lets wait and see. I've yet to check Lulu and Waitrose which normally stocks many international products. The journey continues ...
