LOL..DH was telling me about this guy couple days ago.. When DH just moved to Dubai and got an apartment in JLT he noticed some guy running with his bag and this was way before DD and I arrived in Dubai thats 2 yrs ago and still to date DH sees him on his way in to work...LOL ..I assume he lives in JLT??? Fitness Freak I say..Good on him I wish I had the energy and commitment ...

Hi sham, How old was your little one when you did it? Did she scream the place down? Thanks.... Sorry for the late response... DD was 2 yrs old when she got it done.She cried not because of the pain more to due with having 2 strangers on each side (crowding her) so that they can pierce at the same time after that she was fine and they gave antiseptic cream in case of infection luckliy she had no problems so overall they were clean and caring.. HTH

Don't put the pull up on... Get her to sit on the loo or potty at the time she always does it at night ... Maybe get a reward for her and explain she ll get it if she does number 2 on the potty...good luck ... Thanks Fairycakeyumm Will give it a try ..

Afternoon DD of 3 yrs decided to do a bit of art work on the leather computer chair and its off white colour" EXACTLY" not the easiest colour to hide any marks, it sticks out like a sore thumb! DH and I have taught and explained no writing on wall and leather chair etc she done so well until now ??? Her behaviour been a bit mischevious lately...I have searched on previous thread and took on the advice in "Nail polish remover" it has made it even worse!! :( Help anyone who can advice or share a remedy to get rid of pen marks or is their a company that come out and recover it?? TIA

I stopped watching when Casey Abrams was booted. American Idol is more a popularity contest than talent show. I never forgave them ever since Adam Lambert didn't win two seasons ago! Totally agree! DH and I gutted James out! The Americans love good old C/W music!

Thanks for the replies. @ abby_n_christina - Oh forgot abt dragonmart we went there over the wkend DH liked one sofa there but I wasnt too keen..he really has to convince me LOl .. Will ask DH to take a trek to karama ..think Sharjah bit out so will give that a miss. Thanks. @Simpsons - I havent really checked properly at The one and Marina for sofa - not long ago I was looking for a bedroom set instead LOL..will pop to MOE tomorrow morning and have a snoop round. well....overpriced and Dubai....yep, that fits....a lot of stuff is overpriced....and it is bought everyday by lots of people. I guess it comes down to you to decide if you want to keep your daughter happy :-) She happy to wait! ;)

Marina alos have some good bed sets but they are expensive, so I would recommend u wait for the sale. I love Marina Furniture but what we got at Homes r Us was very similar to some of the pieces we saw in Marina more than half the price! Agree, best to wait for sales @ Marina they drop prices dramatically...

Sham, did you go to the one at Ibn Battuta or Mazaya centre? i found 2 that i liked in Ibn but not sure if Mazaya centre has differemt stock We went to Ibn Buttuta but check Mazaya apparently stock more and ask the guys in Ibn if they have the same stock at Mazaya. Happy shopping!

Hi ladies Thanks for your replies. We still have a leakage such a long story which is still not resolved. The last company ripped us off we had our thermostate replaced and today I still couldnt understand the problem was and we paid 500dhs! and other bits and bobs cant remember..I knew it was going to cost us. The same thermostate that was replaced by concordia had to be changed AGAIN! (it wasnt long ago it was changed) and paid yet another 1090 dhs incl. call out charges! and found out that they didnt change some motor thing for the AC which concordia fail to do so..all this palava is in my DD bathroom. Now..we have the same problem in our bathroom ..and I bet we will be billed for the same amount..arghh so annoyed and fustrated .. I really cant be dealing with all this atm as we have so much going on as it is.. To top it all, I really dont get this maintenace guys here they turn up with no tools and they use their phones as a torch arghhhhhhhhh...

Morning Gentle bump and a follow on from my previous post below ... Anyone living in these appartments experiencing problems with water leakage from their bathhroom..Apparently a lot of the residents in Al Seef 3 are.. Am just wondering whether its a structual problem. Anyone experiencing the same and kindly share. Am so sick and tired of how much we are paying out to the maintenance guys. :(

(..having done ENDLESS research re the dreaded bed bugs when we had them last year...) A mere 60 degrees kills them - you don't have to go as high as 90 - and anything you can't machine wash, you can steam. We bought a steam machine from C4 (next to the irons and it was only about AED 200) and managed to steam everything, from clothes to toys to pillows. Made me feel much better and the pest control guys said this was perfect solution. I feel your pain! Pinks Though I did mention the steam with the pest control guys and they said you better to wash. Though you went through the same experience Ill take your advice on board and purchase a steamer am so sick of this washing and drying between DD DH and I have so much stuff and sending things to the laundry which is costing me a fortune! If you dont mind me asking, which brand did you buy? what temperature does it go up to? Thanks for your advice, Pinks!
