The one in Ibn Battuta has disappeared. There is a new shop about to open just where it was. edited by Geordie expat on 14/09/2014

Have you had a look at Jumeirah Park, it’s just next door to Meadows? The villas are gorgeous and the community is slowly coming together with the newly opened Pavillion and they have started to build a school next to the mall! I think the prices are slightly cheaper than the Meadows as well. And it's been built by a very different builder!!

The way the judge is rattling through things, it makes me think she has already made her mind up and is just going through the motions.

Done. I have one yearly :) Good girl - sadly not everyone is as good as you! Hence the nudging! I'm probably due one, but who to go to now that Dr Deamer is no longer here? I really would be more comfortable with a female Western doctor - any recommendations? Carol Smylie at Mirdif, same clinic

Done. I have one yearly :) Good girl - sadly not everyone is as good as you! Hence the nudging! One or two scary ones make you sit up and think. But my attitude is, at my age if anything is wrong, I can do without these "bits" now so I'd rather know. edited by Geordie expat on 11/09/2014

I also saw Michelle and she is lovely I found it quite painful but I am extremely sensitive to pain for some reason - any way, it should easily be bearable for a normal person OK you're slowly persuading me. I may go and see her. Tattoos on boney areas are very very very painful..... am sure this will be agony especially as it's near your eyes. OK forget it. I'll struggle on with what little blondish eyebrows I have left

I can, but if I mention the company on here it will just start a string of complaints. If you would like to let me have your email address I'll happily put you in touch with him.

Thanks Geordie expat, mad that we trust these guys with our savings just from a pretty website! We were actually contacted by them when we were buying a property abroad. We have since then made them work for our business ! The more we use them though the better rates we get

I chickened out at the end of last week as it started to go the wrong way and changed majority. Still have a little left just in case though. I got a whole GBP 6 more this month than last on the same DHS amount, but yeah I would wait if it was a LARGE amount (which I of course don't actually have) !! We don't very often have the spare to send back, but thought we would make the most of it this time :)

I now wish we'd spent something on a photographer :( Due to the fact that our wedding was so rushed, organised and over in four weeks, we used a friend who was training to be a professional photographer. We now have no decent photos of the day and worst of all she has lost the copies she held for us on her laptop. All I have are one or two half decent shots that family took. edited by Geordie expat on 09/09/2014 edited by Geordie expat on 09/09/2014

I've recently used Dr Kavyan Nojoomi for an operation on my shoulder. He's really good and very thorough. He's going to see my DH about his knee when we get back from hols. I know he specialises in shoulders, but was more than happy to offer to look at DH knee. He's based at Mediclinic in Meadows, but I believe he also sees patients at Arabian Ranches.

Just as a separate question on this. Are restaurants out here not able to offer smaller portions of adult meals. When my DDs were small they would have something like a bowl of veg when we were out and as they grew I always just asked for a smaller portion of an adult meal.. Never any arguement then regarding juice with a childs meal.

I agree. I'm more than happy to help a struggling Mum out. Often even just some time keeping there attention, gives the Mum a break. It's the ones who just switch off and ignore there kids that irritate the h**l out of me and then you'll hear me tut!! edited by Geordie expat on 08/09/2014
