No reason why you couldn't but you need a special light to dry the vanish. Also, you need special remover to soak it off. oh right...ok..sounds a lot of bother lol Yes, it does so I guess that is why most people go to the salon for it. It lasts until the regrowth is too much (if you are kind to them). And DON'T peel it off ;) Sorry couldn't resist that....... Yes, I know it was not good for my nails, but, the urge was just too great to resist!!! And, I was in Australia and could not bring myself to pay out $50 for a manicure to have the stuff removed. Prices there are ridiculous! HOW MUCH !!!!!

If you could cope with a very small buffet brunch. I would suggest Desert Palm, great food and reasonably quiet

Oh yes :( Caused by the natural drop in oestrogen levels in your body - several things you can do to alleviate this such as oestrogen gels, continuous contraceptive pills, migraine pills just prior to getting them (after keeping diary for a couple of months), etc., etc. Not nice, and can get worse as you approach menopause. Best go and discuss your options with a nice gynae. I did exactly this & Dr Deamer (who sadly has left Dubai) prescribed continuous contraceptives for me & after a month or so, bingo, no more headaches! Thanks, I think I will give a trial to the contraceptives, does anyone know, can I buy over the counter? NEVER ever trial anything like this without seeing at least a GP first please

Other T&C's apply I am using them for my Sept and Dec trip AED2645 Emirates and co wanted nearly 6K, the stop over is worth the 3k I am saving! The stop over isn't that bad really and as you say worth the savings you make :)

But that's Dubai all over isn't it. Market something that doesn't actually match exactly what you say. JVT is still a prime example of that ! A couple of estate agents told viewers it was pool facing and a 2 bed ( it isn't) All kitchen appliances come with apartment. Only cooker and dishwasher do The size is huge because of an enormous balcony otherwise it isn't that big We've got all sorts of facilities if you read some of the blurb they spout. It's actually still quite a building site ! Haha And just to top it off, we're not actually getting any more facilities, just perhaps a school and yet another small Mall !!

Yes. If you google it you should find loads of different examples. Mine has my main objectives at the beginning and the relevent previous information to match. This can and does change with each different application. I then follow on with my previous positions and the relevent information regarding what I did in each. Lastly some personal information about yourself.

To get out of Springs now, you'll need to head for the Al Khail road going towards AD and follow the signs from there. It is well sign posted. Sorry I can't be more explicit as I've never done it. I'm just aware of the road works. edited by Geordie expat on 18/08/2014

Let's just make this another "Wonder of the World" ;) I was told they happen because of catching on work tops while washing up, - don't do that any more. Make sure any zips in the washing machine are fastened as that can cause them, - don't wash anything with zips in same load. Even tried washing nothing but t and polo shirts with nothing else and it silll happens!! in your case - i would say cat and dogs. Yes, some could be put down to them, but there were some almost new ones that the pets hadn't even got close to where we found holes in them. And we can't even blame Dubai as it happened back in the UK too

Pretthihappy, that sounds like it was a lot to go through. I asked my last doctor about the having children yet bit, and he said that was a myth? I think that was the way a lot of doctors used to think, around 20+ years ago. If you hadn't had a baby your body couldn't accept a coil !!! I know mine did ;)

I have had two Mirena coils fitted previously and would definitely recommend them. Once the first two months were over I never saw anything and even after the new one was fitted there was just a slight show for a couple of days till it settled down. edited by Geordie expat on 14/08/2014

I would agree with Tatters. Sit down and have a chat with her, explaining that you want her to feel happy and enjoy her job. Arrange monthly meetings, with goals and encourage her to come to you or your 1st PA as soon as she feels she cannot cope, as you don't want her to feel she has to struggle. Hopefully once she realises you want her to succeed and are there to help her she may feel a lot happier. I would say though that it can perhaps take up to six months to get back into the swing of working again. I wish I'd been offered a PA role like this. All I ever got was you're too old to cope with the role ;( edited by Geordie expat on 14/08/2014 edited by Geordie expat on 14/08/2014

It will all depend on the breed and the airline concerned. If it's a small pug type dog, then no they won't fly them at this time of year. Also they definitely will not sedate them for the flight. Far too dangerous. If you want any questions answered, call DKC and ask for advice. edited by Geordie expat on 13/08/2014

Izzy Northern Cyprus is the same, but at least they have a TNR programme in place, for both cats and dogs :) I agree with the feeding stations to a certain extent as long as they are not too close to villas. We have a number round where we live and the amount of owned cats that disappear is getting worse. I think this is beacuse of all the feeding stations and the fact that they don't need to come home every night.

I can understand why the In laws might not want to come and spend time with people they hardly know. Can you not arrange to meet them halfway for a couple of nights and spend the rest of the time in one location and let people come to you? The other option could be spending majority of your time with them next time you visit. Very difficult situation, I know, as we spent two weeks back home last year and were exhausted by the time we got back and felt we had been dragged in so many different ways. Next time we're booking a holiday somewhere in the middle and getting them to fly to us. Holiday for all parties :) edited by Geordie expat on 12/08/2014 edited by Geordie expat on 12/08/2014 edited by Geordie expat on 12/08/2014

Lots of factors to take into consideration when looking at this. Does she have a lot of new information to take in or is she just doing general PA stuff at the moment? Does she have good help at home, or is she trying to cope with too much? Also has she ever worked in Dubai before and realised how fast the work pace is out here? That's the three main factors I would start with.
