Just had a quick look on Qatar for a flight back and with two changes I don't think I could bear it. Looks like we'll have to stick with KLM.

Probably a very stupid question, but why is there such a lack of part time work out here and the likes of bank nurses?

Why not just get a second larger passport for work? takes too long to get renewed at the moment, and we need the passport for imminent vacation, and our future holiday plans require there to be several empty pages in the passport as an entry requirement... eeeek! Passport has 9 years left validity so it seems a bit crazy to spend hundreds of pounds on a renewal - I think they only let you carry 9 months over to the next one... Doesn't stop you having a second passort. Get your DH to have a word with his HR about it and especially if you're going back to the UK for holiday.

I can tell you that Dr. rolf soehnchen from the Cooper Dermatology Clinic is the best doctor for Boxtox and filler, also he is a real consultant doctor, German and he knows what is the best for your skin, also in combination with other treatments He can't be much good if he has to rely on spamming women's forums to get custom .... Definitely one way to make people avoid him That's why I asked cost and make ;-) And do you think you'll get an answer ;)

You have to take your original deposit receipt into a DEWA service centre. Now you've made me think. I haven't a clue where mine is :( I lost mine a few years back and they had it on record Thanks for letting me know. Why am I so disorganised out here. Back in the UK I knew where everything like this was. I shove everything in a file. It is fit to burst now ha I really should buy a file, everything is shoved in my bedside cabinet drawer.

Lost over 2lbs in a week, just by replacing dinner with a bowl of cereal. Means I didn't have to change anything else in my diet, no restocking of the cupboards. Feel so much better now :)

First time I saw a gecko in the house I was startled but then I got used with them. We reciprocally ignore one another...even the dogs don't mind them! Let them be...and the little ones are really cute!! I was given a baby one when I was laying in bed the other morning :) Wasn't too sure about that, but at least I managed to catch it before it went too far/

The only one that gives me a quick fix and then prepares me to eat less after is replacing dinner with a bowl of cereal. One bowl in the morning, light lunch and another bowl in the evening and then nothing after 7pm apart from water and also lots of water during the day. Mind the cereal has to be only 30g and 125ml of low or non fat milk. This gets me used to not eating so much so it's always easier once I go back to normal meals.

For PA roles try Miller Hay, BACME, Kershaw Leonard, Hays, for starters and make sure your LinkedIn profile is up tp date. Sorry I can't help with the part time role, but anyway most positions out here won't allow you to have a second job and you probably won't even have the time.

Only joined it when I moved away from the girls. I now enjoy it as I keep in touch with them and a lot of their friends, especially now they've started having children on their own, as well as old work colleagues. Also, left school in 1975 and surprised how many of my old friends I have managed to get back in touch with.

AlisMum can mostly be found in the kitchen whipping up another yummy meal. She is quite slim and spritely. [b'>Geordie Expat is full of fun and always has the kettle on, she can often be found browsing the baking aisle.[/b'> Spongemonkey is mostly found in the hardware section of supermarkets purchasing new irons for her maid. She has a cackling laugh and likes G&T Oooooops sorry to rain on your parade. More likely to have a corkscrew in my hand and baking -sorry lifes too short now, perhaps once though when the girls were little :) I am still full of fun though ;) edited by Geordie expat on 12/06/2014 edited by Geordie expat on 12/06/2014

Re reading what has been printed, am I correct in thinking that the 12 month extension is only for those wishing to fly back to the UK. What happens if you need your passport to go elsewhere? i think it will be but surely then you wont be let out of this country. you can go back to the uk if you hve a british passport even if its expired but that wont help you if the authorities at this end wont let you leave. I would hope that this information goes worldwide and nowhere can stop you going back to the UK.

If I am constantly followed, even after I've said I'm only looking, the next time I'm asked can I help you Maaaaaaaaam I just turn round and say well you could have if you'de left me alone. Then I just walk out the shop. Sometimes I wonder if that's their bit of fun... to see how many customers they can chase out by being "helpful" So they obviously don't need the sales or commission then

I heard on the radio this morning that Bien, who have the rights to this, have been inundated with complaints already. because apparently there will be black squares all over the picture to prevent piracy. Not sure how true this is, but it could make for poor viewing.

All joking apart, you have no idea how scared I am going for just a haircut. As for colouring, I think I'll need some sort of sedation. Haha you should use my friend GE. She has never messed up my purple rinse ;-) I was going to, but then I ended up in a conversation with a neighbour who knows someone here and before I knew it the appointment was made.

Sorry I know that this may be a diferent custom and culture, but there is no way I would be happy with this arrangement. You need to make him aware that he could be putting his family in an awkward place if you are short or need money for an emergency ant time. Yes he says his friends will help out, but it sounds as if they are all borrowing off Peter to pay Paul and I bet no one knows exactly who owes who what. Don't let him use your savngs 'cause that's just the beginning of the end. His friends seem to realise he an easy touch and the more lends the more they ask. Keep your savings for you.

Your own family definitely has to come first. Personally, if it was me, I'd be trying to stash some money away myself as a rainy day fund, just in case.

Defnitely not overreacting. I would be exactly the same. I have no issues with the occasional loan when someone is in real difficulty, but these 'friends' sound as if they just can't manage a monthly budget. My question to him would be, will someone help us out if we ever need it?

Well you certainly don't have to move out early. Sorry not sure about finding out if the flat was actually sold, but you could try writing a letter to The National and asking the question. Or one of the ladies on here might have the answer.

I would suggest that you first contact the airline you plan on flying out here with and see what their policies are. Certai airports don't handle pets. Then you'll need to have a look on the DEFRA website (if that's what they're stil called) to see exactly what you need in the way of vacinations and the timings. I would imagine that if you're coming from the UK your dog will never have had a rabies jab. Or if you've got a good friendly local vet he may be able to help. You can also look on the Dubai Kennels and Cattery website as they have some good information on bringing your pet here. Or just use them to help you. One less thing to stress about. edited by Geordie expat on 11/06/2014

I know, but I'm assuming that by receiving the new one there's no problem and the old one will follow. I really hoped to get mine back at the same time too. Everyone I've spoken to said that their old one came back about a week later. I think it's probably because it doesn't have to go with your new one for printing and so is kept back somewhere else. I also read somewhere on one of the BBC sites, that childrens passports don't take as long as adults. edited by Geordie expat on 11/06/2014
