It's not about you singining it Marroosh. It's about athletes representing their team and country. Certain non English members of the GB team have refused, they made a point of not singing it. People are missing the point. What I am trying to say, is that you can represent your country without the national anthem. They are there to compete in their sport aren't they? I really don't understand what the fuss is about.. They are there to represent their country/team first and foremost. You can compete in sports on an individual basis but the Olympics is about representing your country! You win the medal for your country. Check the headlines and you will see so and so won a medal for team GB. If you don't see what the fuss is about then you don't understand, no offence! Well, can they compete as Ireland, Wales, Scotland? No they can't. So if they want to participate in the Olympics they have to participate under the UK, don't they? Saying I don't understand because I don't see the fuss of someone not wanting to sing the national anthem, I am entitled to my opinion about this and not agreeing doesn't mean someone doesn't understand. I assume you mean Northern Ireland above! The Republic of Ireland has its own Olympic team. edited by gingercat on 31/07/2012

Hi Zeynab. There was no reason behind my miscarriages. My doctor just told me that cyclogest and aspirin can help. I also took Pregnacare and an additional dose of folic acid. Why don't you try the baby aspirin? Ask your doctor about it. I felt good because I was able to try something new. Thinking of you. My beta hcg is down to 38 so I already lose this baby again, feeling too low n crying. I don't know why is this happening to me I am so sorry for you Zeynab. If it gives you any comfort I had two early miscarriages close together. However I got pregnant one month later and I have a healthy baby asleep beside me now. I took cyclogest supposotories and baby aspirin daily. I started on the aspirin before I even conceived. Never give up hope. I had spotting for ten weeks with this baby and everything turned out fine. You are in my prayers x

Thanks Hillsbills. Gave a key to someone I thought I could trust and now am a bit worried in case they made a copy etc. Someone who was looking after our cats while we were away. Would rather not have to explain reason to landlord for changing keys...don't want him to think I give my keys to anyone.... edited by gingercat on 16/07/2012

I bought a brand new Ameda Lactaline double electric pump from Al Shaiba medical supplies in Dubai for 700 dhs. It is an excellent pump and half the price of a medela. It is recommended by La Leche League. Google it and read the reviews! I had mine delivered for an extra 50 dhs. You can buy it yourself from their shop in Al Nahda. Email [email protected] :)

You can sometimes get a one bed plus study. My friend had one in Al Barsha. Can't remember the name of the building but it had Pets Paradise Shop and a Jotun shop downstairs. Near Centro hotel. Has Palm trees on roof. Good luck!

I use Bumgenius all in ones on my lo who is 8 weeks old. We have been using them sice she was born. Love them!!! Expensive at around 75 dhs each but they are one size which can made bigger as your child grows. We have 21 which is plenty. You get a newborn insert and a thicker insert with each one. We used the newborn insert for the first 6 weeks and now use the thicker one at the smallest setting. At night I use the two liners as she is now starting to sleep for most of the night and we don't have any leaks. They are expensive to buy in the beginning but you will never have to buy another nappy for your baby. We wash every second day. Rinse liner and nappy with hose and chuck them in washing machine with a tiny bit of Allens washing detergent. They wash lovely and dry in no time. We are delighted with our decision. You can buy them in almost every continent so if someone can get one or two for you to try that would be great. Otherwise order them from Pinstripes and Polkadots online. Check out the reviews for BG online and they have by far the best reviews. We would never consider using disposables now! Good luck xx

Well done on getting out and about already! My LO is six weeks old and other then essential hospital appointments I didn't go anywhere much until my LO was 4 weeks old. I have found the covers to be the most difficult part of breast feeding. I have started using a really lightweight wrap just until I get her latched on and then remove it from her head and sort of cover up my exposed bits with the rest of it. It's quite big so easy to wrap around me. I choose my clothes carefully and I find that for me it's easier to pull up a top and latch her on and then wrap the cover round my tummy. I understand your anxiety completely. My LO is 6 weeks old and woke up suddenly whilst I was in Carrefour in MOE demanding to be fed immediately. I was with my mum-in-law who didn't really understand I had to leave immediately so by the time I got to the loo baba was really crying hard and I was in a heap of sweat. There was nobody using the feeding room so I was so relieved to just latch baba on quickly and easily without covering up first...I did that after. It's such a hard thing to get used to. I never realised that there are so many people who don't know anything about breastfeeding and can't understand why you need to feed so often. I am starting to notice that my LO has gone from being a permanent attachment to feeding for a shorter time and leaving a longer gap in between feeds and this is only at 6 weeks. I think you are doing brilliantly. Breastfeeding mothers seem to put themselves under a lot of pressure to get out and about very early on and it's just not very easy in the early days when your LO is feeding constantly and you are trying not to expose yourself! Best of luck with everything. I am also going to start expressing now as my LO is just over 6 weeks. I decided to wait 6 weeks just to make sure breastfeeding was established before I started introducing bottles. I plan to give her maybe one bottle a day and maybe more as it gets closer to the time when I have to return to work. I know people who haven't waited that long though and their babies have no problem switching from bottle to breast. I have bought a Breastflow, Tommee Tippee CTN and a Yoomi bottle to see which ones she likes best. My sis is coming from home tomorrow and bringing me over a breastfeeding cover called a Braap which doesn't cover babies head and is less hot and cumbersome than a full breastfeeding cover. I will let you know how I get on with it and if it is successful maybe you could try using one to make bfeeding in public a bit easier. Best of luck!!! xx

I have the Boba wrap for my little girl who is 6 weeks old. It was 225 dhs on www.luxelittle.com. It us basically a really long piece of stretchy fabric that you wrap around your body and up over your shoulders. Your baby will be next to your skin which has great health benefits for your baby. My LO loves it and as she loves to be held is ideal for me. It is very comfy to wear too. I had it delivered to the house the day after I ordered it for an extra 25 dhs. If you are not very confident driving yet, there is a metro stop right outside the hospital. You will have to change lines. Not sure how long it will take from the Marina. City Hospital is in Healthcare city. If driving, just head northbound up Sheikh Zayed road past Dubai Mall. Keep to middle/left side lane. Go through tunnel. As soon as you exit tunnel, move to extreme right lane and slip off SZ road. You will see Lamcy on your left. Follow signs for Wafi and HC city slipping off to right and looping over SZ road. Keep in second lane from right. Slip off to right at sign for HC city. Go straight through lights and take first right after passing through junction. Turn right into carpark downstairs. I always look on Google maps to get a sense of where I am going. edited by gingercat on 19/03/2012

I recommend Fdi (male stylist) n Pace e Luce in Al Manzil Souk in downtown. As a natural brunette, I always waned to be blonde, yet no matter where I went and no matter how much I spent I ended up disappointed..with grey/green hghlights. After one appointment with Fdi it looked great and after one more I am the exact shade that I have been chasing for years. Would recommend you give him a try and see if he can fix your hair. x
