Dr. Misha Sahu at Infinity Clinic is brilliant, does not prescribe anti biotics unnecessarily.

It really makes me angry, how can a school make this judgement based on a short assessment with 10 other children. They are really just small children! I went through the same thing, my DD is a shy child, thankfully I found a nurturing school for her, she still isn't socially mature but is improving day by day and is doing great academically. I would suggest ignore these remarks and try another school. I don't think holding him back would serve any purpose.

So are the kids still at NAS? Weird.....why would a Principal have his own children in another school? Mysterious! I think maybe we should flush Lolacat out of hiding with a page full of school related posts! I think that's because Hartland doesn't have secondary yet, besides he's no longer associated with the school. Though I wonder if he has taken any other assignment in Dubai.

Does anyone know the reason of the principal leaving? I believe they plan to have 9 sections in a year group, which i personally feel is too many. It will be a BIG school at full capacity.

Hi, I have no personal experience of Hartlands at all, however if you have heard those rumours, and if there is any basis of truth to them I would steer clear! Big 'if's' I know, but even if they were 'teething' problems a head should be on site well before opening....just a personal opinion - would go with kings which at least has a couple of established schools here in Dubai. Good luck, in the end go with your gut feel. Has the principal left? There is no mention of him on the school website. Such a shame, the school seemed so promising on paper.

Why do people keep forgetting Dubai is not a European/American city. The reason we all are spoilt here is that we can afford these luxuries, if the fares/prices keep increasing then life would be the same as that in cities without these luxuries. Also don't forget the region, Taxis are cheaper in neighbouring countries like India Pakistan and others and when tourists from these countries come to Dubai, they find taxis very expensive. Ofcourse they can use alternate transport but there are limited route options.

Best not use Google maps, it takes you from Barsha south towards a non existent road. The school is best accessed from Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed road. So if you start from Oud Metha road, go on at Dubai Al Ain road, take Jebel Ali exit to go on to SMBZR, take Hessa street exit. Stay on right, you will see a single lane road going to the school. Hope it helps.

Hi.. i have a querry to the poster (cant remember who it was) who has taught in both IB n BC school... Is there a much difference in the curriculum at primary level.?, I have been led to believe that if you intend the child do IB diploma ..then it's better that they are in IB school from primary.

Inspire nursery in umm sequeim is great! They follow the creative curriculum which means they learn through play rather than having to sit in lessons all day, which they shouldn't be doing at such a young age. I looked at tons of nurseries and eventually narrowed it down to inspire. My son has just started there and already I can see progress in his communication and language skills. The staff are lovely and the kids all look really happy there. I spent a day at kids island and would definitely not recommend it. I felt horrified and sick to the stomach by the time I left as the kids were miserable. In my opinion it's not a great nursery to send your child to if you want to foster their creativity and imagination! That's disturbing.,.can you share your observations regarding kids island. My DD goes there n she seems happy there.

A simple one. Well many maids don't want to look after a newborn baby.since OP didn't state her reason to let the maid go ..I thought I just describe my situation.. N if she still recommends then we both save time.( which is v precious with a newborn)

Well diluted camomile tea. I put some in my son's bottle who was constipated, worked for him. Glowing candle, how old was your DS when you did this? DS is suffering big time with constipation since we started solids no matter what I give him...ie no carrots, potatoes, bananas, cheese etc etc Prunes, peaches, pears, prune juice seem to be on his menu everyday and still the poor thing struggles. He's 8 months old now and I'm running out of ideas but never heard of the camomile tea..am really curious now :) Sorry for hijacking the thread ;) My son is 8 weeks n he was constipated for days n I put v diluted tea in his formula. He pooped within hours. U can google it, it's quite popular remedy. Of course we shouldn't give anything on regular basis to babies that young, but just as infacol is given to colicky babies or gripe water , this is an exception too. N at least it's a natural remedy.

I delivered my first child at city hospital with dr. Elsa in 2010 and the second one at American hospital with dr. Raj just a couple of weeks back. Both the experience were really good...but if I have to choose one then as a hospital I would opt for city..the facilities were first class n the nursing staff was v good...but that was in 2010 so I can't really comment on recent facilities. However I am v impressed with dr. Raj's pro natural approach.. I had an amazing birth experience just bcoz of her, n for that reason I would choose dr. raj at American hospital

I had my firstborn with dr. Elsa and second with dr. Raj. Both these ladies are excellent but I would prefer dr. Raj. I had an amazing natural birth with her. No induction, no epidural just normal natural delivery...n all the time I insisted on induction, epidural but dr. Raj gave me the confidence to deliver naturally and I'm extremely happy about it.

Can you give me more details on the course ...I'm already 32 weeks n with eid holidays coming up..I doubt I would want to commit to a 6 week course. But would you recommend getting books n CDs alone? Thanks! i've just finished a 6 week hypnobirthing course w jasmine and thought it was fantastic. though i've still got a few weeks to go i find i am more calm, prepared and excited about the arrival of baby 2. we bought our first marie mongan book (uk version) on amazon which comes with a relaxation cd but then we were given the US copy in the class included in the course price which we referenced throughout. the book is fantastic and a real eye opener to the whole process but i'd really recommend doing a course if you want your husband to be your bc (birth companion). it was such a special experience for my dh and i and well worth it.
