its the cultural thing. in countries with hot climate(subcontinent, ME) everyone including children usually take an afternoon nap coz its too hot to do anything. back in the old days when there was no air conditioning, everything would close down in the afternoon. none of the kids i know sleep at 7 in my country!

I liked Dr. Ahmed, he's very knowledgeable and good with LOs. I have seen both and Dr. Khan is good too but my preference would be Dr. Ahmed. just my opinion.

I am an Indian. Took only 20 classes because I had an existing 8 year old Driving License of India. And I cleared it in the First Go !! I went to Al Ahli. If the examiners are prejudiced then the same should happen at all driving schools. Why would they limit their prejudice to 2-3 driving schools? were u satisfied with al ahli?? how were the instructors?

so really which school is better... i have to take classes and based on what i have asked other ppl, they all are really the same. one lady told me u need to 'please' the instructor by giving her gifts, then only she will teach driving properly.

thnx for the response..if u dont mind, how much did u give cow 's milk and what part of day? i try to give her in a bottle at daytime, she doesnt take that, but when she wakes up hungry at nite then she would drink an ounce or two.

Zardari is a makes a con artist look genuine and honest - he and all those pretty much before him are only interested in filling their boots and don't give a damn about the people of pakistan and improving the country. I often look at Dubai where people are quick to criticize (and I agree its not perfect) but thankfully the vision of some good leaders made a desert into a successful business and tourist hub. Pakistanon the other hand has fertile land, water and a lot more going for it but just not the vision of anyone decent and honest to lead them. Sorry way off topic - I am surprised if he got married. :) maybe we're heading towards a revolution too.

i certainly do not wish to be in the scenario that Hello Kitty mentioned but at the same time wish there was an easier solution. I have that book too... but i have never been able to do what the book says..my DD starts crying hysterically and we just pick her up. happymommy, how did u do without making ur LO cry?

im having the same problem...i think i will never be able to do this... i just cant let her cry for soo long...me n DH r both too soft, but im wondering what if i don't do this?? im a SAHM, though its exhausting but im coping up...do i really have to do sleep training.. do children start sleeping on their own once they are older.

hey sippycup, this is exactly what i am going thru with my daughter. she is 10 months and weigh 6 kg!! the paeds made us worried n did all sorts of tests on her, chest xray, different sorts of blood n urine test and found nothing!! it was just a waste of thousands..not to mention tht we were extremely worried sick. my DD does not take formula either so i try to give her a lot of cheese, she doesnt like yogurt too.. but after months of being worried..i have stopped making a fuss...i just feed her what she likes..if she is hungry she eats...if not then she ususally eats better at the next meal.. i have noticed she eats table food better than the food i make for her.. i know we shouldnt be giving salt to LOs but atleast she eats it. i hope things get better but u need to stop worrying soo much. if she is reaching her milestones then she is FINE.
