seminyak is a great place and has something for everyone. didn't like Kuta felt very touristy and chavvy but then we went there to watch the footy late one night. seminyak has amazing restaurants and we stayed at the W which we loved. more boutique and trendy.

I've sworn off J&J products after my hairdressing tutor stated that john sons baby shampoo is actually very effective at lightly cleansing unwanted hair colour! so much be quite harsh to fade that! I'd seen someone suggest coconut oil on here before so planned to use that and water where possible and have ordered some water wipes off amazon for when need something a big substantial. If you know anyone coming from the UK they're often on offer in boots.

Ruth can I ask how you got the snuzpod here? I'm desperate to get one but when I found a website with international delivery it was nearly as much as the pod! and I'm not going back to the UK now before bus is born. Any magic tricks for getting one?? We looked at the Bednest but in the end preferred the Snuzpod from Little Green Sheep. http://www.thelittlegreensheep.co.uk/the-little-green-sheep/snuzpod-3-in-1-bedside-crib-natural.aspx It's one of our best purchases. That and her Sleepyhead which we use all over the house and can put in our bed or in her cot and she feels safe and secure in it. She hates the Moses basket. http://www.enfant-terrible.se/products/sleepyhead®-deluxe-9707003 We also got the Chicco Next2Me for travelling but were disappointed to find it can only be permanently up or permanently down unlike the Snuzpod (and I think Bednest) where the side can be taken up and down during the night. However it is very wide and can accommodate the Sleepyhead inside which is really useful for when away from home as it is so familiar for her. The Snuzpod and Sleepyhead are both available from NCT who do the Bednest too.

uppababy vista was the alternative we looked at, very good value for money and you get the basinet included free as well as standard, think that comes in about 4-4.5k. my friends got one and loves it. I'd def check that out too as you have the basinet included. to be honest there was actually so little between the buffalo we chose and the uppababy, just the deal we got we decided to get the buffalo as was the one we wanted and looks slightly slicker than the uppababy and my hubs is a sucker for fancy branding!! If anything uppababy is better if you plan on a second as u can add a sibling seat. I'd really go to Just Kidding they were so helpful when we went. hear what your saying on the car seat, I agree, just hubs was put off by the, you need this one for 18 months, then this one for so long, then this one after!! he was sold on buying just the one seat that covered 0-4yrs even tho I pointed out its gonna be horrendous waking a sleeping baby!! we need to sort our car situation out before we buy anyway as the audi A5 3 door is not baby friendly at all!! I'm gonna look at that cybex tho sounds exactly what we need & they're out of the maxi cosi we wanted anyway. xx

if you can afford it get a personal trainer, even if for a short period to get you on the right track. or Urban Energy fitness always pop up in my newsfeed on Facebook as good for post natal exercise. think do classes or private. It might even be a diet thing if you've lost it everywhere else. I've always had a pouchy tum but I know its my love of bread and sugar!! edited by greengoddess on 01/11/2014

you're not actually supposed to have a newborn in a car seat for more than 2 hours so we aren't even getting the type that fit the buggy frame. based on the fact can take forever to get to some places here, then say walking round a mall with them in it the time can add up. we've got a bugaboo buffalo but the bee looks good and the mamas and papas ones get really good write ups on which. I'm vain and went for looks! I just decided not to go mad buying too much other stuff so could have pram i wanted. check just kidding as their fb pages says 25% off selected buggys at the mo so u might get the one u want. just be warned with stokke, you need the basinet for the first 6 months as doesn't lie flat so it does add up, is what put me off them a bit as originally thats the one I wanted. the basinet alone is 1700dhs! plus 5k for the buggy!

Suntuna at NBar in Emirates Towers is the only one I'd trust. they use lycon wax and no double dipping. She does quite large strips but usually has it over and done super quick and is very thorough. Sisters are good too but I'd honestly go with no one else now she's that good!

normally I'd order but I go away on friday. 34F is what I'm looking for. tried debenhams and in true dubai style they've got rid of all their swimwear. figures just as its nice to sit out again. this country is so backwards its untrue. even victorias secret is clearing down to minimal range but their largest ones won't go near me as the big cup sizes also have big back sizes and not being tie backs and all clips you can't even make do! looks like I'll be settling for spending on ones I'm not particularly keen on.

I'm also not back in the UK now before birth unfortunately, think were going to give our xmas flights a miss as I'll be 30-32 weeks and the thought of getting stuck in the UK should anything happen is enough to put me off!!

I've had this recommended to me as a good deet alternative as has lots of citronella in and will do my skin good too! they don't sell it on the use avon site so I wondered if anyone had managed to order it off amazon, wither via po box or shop and ship, I have both!! I'm not sure the reason the oils not sold here but have a feeling whatever it is will stop me getting it in!

Obviously I have this version they're all the web and property sites. What I meant was one with actual measurements as I specified. Ie window openings, gaps for appliances etc. Thought if someone had bought to live in they may have plotted this out. People really need to get over themselves on this forum.

There's one called aquaplus that's bpa free bottles apparently, haven't tried them but when we move and get room for a cooler I'll be trying them. Just use masafi regular bottles at the moment.

Biosculpture gel will not destroy your nails. They have it at the Nail Spa. I find very few salons use it. The product is originally from South Africa. The main reason is because when they remove it, they soak off 90% off the gel and only file a little bit to get it all off. Been there, done that and other gel nails has made my nails paper thin in the past mostly because of the filing when they remove it. The biosculpture is brilliant, stays chipped free for 3 weeks and actually makes my nails stronger and very hard. I have had it done a few years now with the same therapist so that may be a factor too as she is excellent but then so is most of the Nail Spa ladies. I use the one at Ibn Battuta. I second this and have this done at the Dubai mall branch. Wouldn't go anywhere else and find the biogel much less damaging than gelish. I use any girl there as they're all excellent.

So I've got a little art project I want to make but need a load of fairy /Christmas lights, clear ones ideally I prefer the ones with the little bullet shaped bulbs not pointy. Or the little round bulb ones would work. Anyone seen any cheap out and about?

Brill thanks. It just says pie dough! So I'll go with your recommendation. I assume they mean like the pillsbury pie dough u can get in a can but think that's a very American thing and no idea if can get it here. I've seen the cookie dough in a can and croissant I think but been that long since I took notice I should probably just go check again! I've got your suggestion too and know both are easy to buy in most supermarkets. Thanks again.

I keep seeing the ads by one of the rescue places about dogs paws on the hot surfaces in the summer and the burns they get. Now I'd obviously take him out very early morning and late at night but does anyone think it's worth getting the little booties for him? He's only 5 months but desp need together him out in the fresh air! There's a grassy bit I can take him too nearby but he's getting a little fatty to carry down there!

I was told recently they don't advertise the small cute dogs, don't as me why but I think they try rehome he older desert dogs first. Maybe ring round them all and see what they have. We've just bought a frenchie here so it's interesting to know about this rule, had never heard it before. Def gives me food for thought about when we leave UAE.

I've got a pie pop maker I want to use but want to cheat with ready made pastry and filling. Bad I know but anyone know where I can get it? Not so much the filling as that's easy but the dough/pastry be easy to use ready made. Don't judge me.

Think I'm going to crack and get a crate. He's actually brilliant now when were in and started going on the balcony if we leave the door open with no training, think that comes from his stage fright of going In front of people. But nights are still messy. He's not crying in the night now which is good (goes right thru til morning now) but think I need to try the crate for night toilet training. Or at least containing the mess! I'm just concerned that he really doesn't bother about walking in his own mess. Any recommendations for the best kind? I was thinking one with 2 openings to try and stop him walking thru his mess to get to me in a morning. Was thinking to get a trainer in to give me some pointers, can anyone recommend the best one to visit your home? And you were all right about giadia, I got him checked and has a mild case of that, has worms, and is def younger than his passport age as suspected. Still wouldnt swap hi for the world, hes a very affectionate & loving dog!
