I just went and got Lily's organic food from pampered pets in the marina for my frenchie pup as heard they can get allergies, that's all grain free and natural. They had another I can't quite remember name of apple...something. I'm starting him on it today mixing with old food til used to it. He's obv on the puppy mix which is one flavour but had tons for older dogs. Can see that shop costing me a bomb when he's old enough to enjoy it all!! I'm also looking for a good vet so shame u can't name the bad one.

Dubai Mall. Same story. Same description. Same sucker. I did the right thing. I gave money to someone in need. If she lied, that's her burden to carry, not mine. What she doing shopping in Dubai mall if she's got a sick child. I'd have given her 20 max, enough for the metro to al ghubaiba bus station then 15 dhs bus to Abu Dhabi. It's what I had to use when I had no car not begging poor suckers for spending money!!

Hi, I have a female Frenchie who is now just over 2 years old. Definitely get them checked over by a vet. Ours was 5 months when we took ownership of her. We crated her at bed time in our bedroom. Frenchies you will find are a very stubborn bred of dog. I gave up with pads and just used newspaper. It's quite repetative but every time they pee on the pad praise them. We had newspaper in our living room and the hallway and then slowly removed them. Hope that helps. Stubborn dogs but so bleedin lovable x When u say u slowly removed them where does she now pee? I'm not bothered about trying to get him to want to go on the balcony or anything like that, just in the same place on the plastic pee pad thing I've got. He did fine at the vets yesterday so all good there. Any tips on not chewing and biting??!

I totally appreciate what everyone is saying about crates but yesterday and today the daft pup has gone to sleep on his pee pad even when his bed is available! So he's not bothered about sleeping where he's pee'd!! Is the problem from the petshop I think. However we had a much better night last night, did his business on or close to pad and didn't walk in it himself and kept his bed clean. The times I've put him in the kitchen when I think he's going to go say after sleeping etc then he has mostly done it. It's just getting the sneaky pees when he's out of there with us playing etc. he'll run off quickly and do it where we can't see! I think I really need a play pen for when he's out of the kitchen with us so that it's a smaller area to grab him and put him on the pad. It's too late when I'm chasing him round the flat. I did use a crate with my rottie I trained 10 years ago but we had him from 8 weeks so was miles easier. Think this one is just going to take time. He gets better every day so guess I need to be patient. I'm debating doing the home visit trainer for some tips too but husband is already dispairing at how much I'm spending on him!!

I really hope this horrid woman balloons at the end of her pregnancy and never shifts it. And as for advice, give her none, she doesn't deserve it. I'd never usually say that but I believe in karma. The woman really needs to wake up and realise that we're supposed to support our friends not back stab. Which says to me she's not a friend and best to ignore her. She's in for a shock when she has her child. Maybe she was struggling to get pregnant at the time and was sniping thru jealousy, who knows. It's just unnecessary. Good on you for getting yourself fit and healthy, it can't have been easy with a baby. Hopefully she'll appreciate that in time.

Great thanks ladies. I actually just stayed with him in the kitchen before when I knew he'd need to go and he did both on the pad so I praised him both times. He wouldn't go outside again but think I just need to time it about half an hour after eating not right away. He's great on the lead. I gonna try again with the kitchen tonight before I go down the crate route, just not convinced it'll make a diff to him. & don't want him in the bedroom as hubby's mildly allergic. He's being reasonably ok so far but I'm trying to contain it for sleeping. I have actually trained a Rottweiler ten years ago but u forget how hard it is! I'm def getting him checked this week. He seems well except a dry nose so think he's tad dehydrated but his eliminations are firm so don't think any dietary probs. good idea to get a trainer to the home. You always think you can do these things yourself but guess doesn't hurt to get advice. Yep he's so loveable, fast asleep at our feet right now!

Can you let me know how it goes and if your insurance covers it? I'm trying to use the ones at a clinic I already use and find it astounding having 2 drs in the same department off at the same time but such is Dubai! Guess I'll have to be patient. Appt is 13th may so 3 weeks isn't much more than 2 I suppose.

I've been thru 3 at the same clinic and and am really happy now with Dr Liliana Skorski at Healthbay Polyclinic on Al Wasl Road. I originally went to Dr Jozsa (man) there on recommendation but he was quite vague & I proper ask loads of questions, Dr Oksus I found rushed me and didn't spot a cyst (my friend really likes her tho so maybe I got a bad day, was a bank holiday). But when I finally met Dr Skorski I can honestly say she's fab and I look forward to working with her when I'm pregnant. She's the only one who went thru all my family history, my mums MC history, my grans etc. I've been with her for 6 months now. She's got a lovely manner to her and answers all my millions of questions well. She gave me her mobile number at the first appointment and has been great whenever I've contacted her. She likes a natural approach and doesn't push you to do anything you don't want, only offers you tests if you want to go down that route and if she thinks they're applicable. I also wanted to stay with someone that delivers at City Hospital. After my D&C with Dr Jozsa there I really liked that hospital (despite being in for a rubbish reason) & want to deliver there when the time comes, the staff were lovely. Sounds mad but I was determined to stay at that clinic, it has a really nice feel, the nurses are all super lovely, they have english midwives and has great reviews for their anti-natal classes etc, which I'll fully use as I feel clueless about what to do when we actually have the baby. They do first aid classes, baby massage etc, all the stuff my SIL really recommended we do.

So years ago in the uk I saw an amazing dentist who instead of selling me veneers, whitened my teeth and closed my front gap with moulded fillings, no one ever believes me it's that good a job and has last me 7 years. However it's time to whiten again and replace, I job I'm scared to trust anyone with!! Does anyone know the best cosmetic dentist? I've contacted my uk one and they do zoom whitening with lasers and trays to take away so ideally I'd like to find the same here as not sure if I'm now going the uk. (Which is typical as she's there still working at the same place!) obviously doing it here would save me the flight cost. Thanks ladies

I had mine done 2 weeks ago, Zoom system, laser at dentist then trays and take home trays Dhs 2500. I was sooooo scared, put off by horror stories, but I didnt feel a bit of a pain, well ,my head was a bit numb staying on one position, could've done with a cushion ! Ater 3 days my lips were a bit dry. But so pleased with the results. Definitely recommend it. I had it done by my own dentist, GMC Clinic, was skeptical about going to a 'cosmetic' place. Love the results, go for it Can I ask which dentist and where u did this specifically? That's the same as I was about to go home to do and pay same price for but will do here if I can.

I go to healthbay Polyclinic and seen 3 diff gynaes, all are good, mine is now a fertility issue so I'm sticking with dr skorski as felt she's been most helpful and specialises in this but both the male & female gynaes there have all been great. I saw dr oksus & the man one I can't remember his name as mind gone blank but he was very good.

Been diagnosed with sticky blood, also mild pco so hoping acupuncture will at least clear things & I'll at least feel like doin everything possible. the woman code really is good reading. you can cure it with your diet, this is based on her own struggles with it, years of research and runs a very successful clinic in new york. yes its extremely difficult to overhaul your diet, esp here in Dubai, but even making some of the changes I noticed a huge difference. I got the kindle version but I'm pretty sure the massive book store in Dubai mall would have it. Id always go for diet before drugs. I made lists of the foods for each phase and put them in my notes in my phone so I knew what I should be eating when. its not vegetarian, theres options for each stage. she even does personal coaching but I think its really expensive but then if you're desperate it might be worth it.

I'm right at beginning so hoping can get on with it right away. I managed to find her mobile number so will speak to her this week. My hubby's not a big believer in these things so I want to convince him it's worth the money!

not in the entertainer but Hakkasan at Emirates Towers is my fave whilst Gary Rhodes is shut! Also Armani Deli (was called Peck and is in entertainer, can still use vouchers) is the best Italian I've had in Dubai and is a really nice classy restaurant. Thiptara as suggested is excellent and in the entertainer. Again Table 9 I agree with that recommendation and u get a bag of home made sweets to take home! Not in the book for La Petite Maison in DIFC is also really worth the money and has bags of atmosphere. The Ivy in Emirates Towers is also really good and in the entertainer. jeez I like eating out!

I second l-lysine, you can get in supplement form from health food stores or I use the topical one, its a little paste like vaseline, use on my lips every night before bed and not had one in 3 years since I discovered. Its an amino acid so treats it naturally and very fast. If I'm in the sun I use it as lip balm then too as thats usually my trigger. I also found as soon as u get the tingle if you have ice handy then place that on it and usually kills it before it begins. zovirax and all that have never worked for me at all. Lysine has honestly been sent from above! I've got all the family on it too that suffer them and they never get them now. I got the paste in holland and barrett here.

Funnily enough I've changed from her now, she was away when I needed to see her so saw another, dr lilia, she's much better, gave me a lot more answers, ordered tests that dr oksus didn't suggest, nor did she pick up the cyst I have when I saw her just two weeks earlier which dr lilia found. I also felt very rushed by dr oksus as it was a bank hol. I'm sure my first impressions of dr oksus weren't wrong and she's very good but for me Dr Lilia handled me and my million questions really well and offered me a lot more re-assurance and answers, really questioned my previous history but also my mums, felt a lot more thorough.
