I recommend the Philips HR1861 juicer, much more reliable than the Avance (min requires rebooting daily!) Any wide chute juicer is good. There is also the Moulinex Ruby (JU something). There are cheaper ones on the market, try and cheaper one first then move up to a Philips or Moulinex Thanks.

Hi SweetSugar Can you please share which juicer you bought and what is the name of the app? Thanks Hi, it was the Phillips wide chute one, I *think* its called Avance. It was the only Juice master one at C4 so really easy to pick out. It was either 899 or 999dhs. The fruit can be put in whole which makes it go super fast and you get maximum juice. Hopefully any salesperson should be able to show you which one it is if you say that. For the App, simply search for the "lose 7lbs in 7 days" Jason Vale ipad app via the app store or google. Costs about $7. HTH. Thank you Sweetsugar, :)

My son had brain MRI when he was 10 years old. It was impossible for him to stay calm during the procedure so doctors give anesthesia, but the sedation was only there for the period of MRI and may be half hour more. Hope this helps.

I got a machine as a wedding present a couple of weeks ago and I have become obsessed with it. (started using it yesterday as first day back from honeymoon). I am going to get the 7lbs in 7 days book and give it a try. I am already addicted to the green power juice. Who would have thought spinich, brocoli, cucumber etc could taste so delicious! Even if I don't loose weight, I don't care. Just think of all those wonderful natural vitamins and minerals getting into your system. Watch some Jason Vale videos on you tube or his website and join the 'Juice Revoloution'! I got the 7lbs in 7 days book as well as a "recipe" book for free with my juicer as its the recommended Jason Vale one :) p.s. I would recommend the App over the book as it has all the recipes as well but most importantly and helpful is that it calculates your shopping list for you so you will know exactly how many of each vegetable to buy for the amount of days you want to do the fast. So simple... edited by SweetSugar123 on 05/11/2012 Hi SweetSugar Can you please share which juicer you bought and what is the name of the app? Thanks

Teenagers can be quite devious, I know some who had one FB identity which their parents had complete access to and a second one in a different name for "private" use. Totally agree with you.

Thanks for the post. Can anyone tell me how to monitor teenage children's internet activity. My DS, 14 years old, he cleans all the history. Any help? There is software you can purchase to track his activity. And if he is going to trouble of deleting his history, then why are you allowing him to abuse his internet priviledge? Take it away. Most of his school work is done through computer and he needs internet for that. Homeworks are in school's server, so not possible to stop internet. I will check about the software. Thanks A friend here had a company come in and fix their home router so that NOTHING could be accessed except for the basics. We do what we have to do. If you are not net savvy, then bring in the big boys and do an internet lock-down. I will have to call someone to fix it...I just use computer for basic things. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the post. Can anyone tell me how to monitor teenage children's internet activity. My DS, 14 years old, he cleans all the history. Any help? you need to adjust your router so that he can barely access anything that you would find unsavory at his age. You must insist on all passwords. You can install key logger on his device so that you can recall every single thing typed. Does he deserve privacy? No. Not at this age. I will sure look at these options. thank you

Thank you all again for your wonderful support. mrswhippy, I cannot imagine how hard (but brave) it was for your brother to make that awful decision. I hope he, you and all his family are finding peace in knowing he was being so very unselfish and saving the suffering of that poor little soul. Last night we heard that he is stable and the doctors are pleased with his heart rate. They are trying two last drugs in an attempt to get everything under control. It seems that your prayers are really helping his fight, please may I beg you to continue for a little while longer? Thank you from the bottom of my heart, xx He is in my prayers everyday..

If the maid didnt enter on the new sponsor entry permit, then you are still responsible. You can call immigration and tell them your story and they will tell you her status. If she is still in your responsibility you have to find her and get her a ticket back home and make sure she exit the country otherwise there will be fine on her overstay.

You mentioned you got new entry permit for her, did she enter on that entry permit or did you pay trasnfer charge in immigration? If yes, then she is still your responsiblity. If you only got new entry permit and you cancelled it without she using it, then she is not your responsiblity. HTH

Halfmoon, I have always bought them at Dean's Fujiya near Lamcy Plaza. If you are driving right in front of Lamcy, follow the road around past Chili's and the Adidas outlet; it curves to the right. You'll pass Caribou Coffee on the right, and maybe a block after, Dean's is on the right. Sunrise Market will be on your left, opposite Dean's. edited to add: if anyone knows of a place nearer to the Marina, please share! edited by Beebers on 27/03/2012 Thank you Beebers. I will give it a try.

I use the brain all the time - and I highly recommend it to anyone else. Especially for learning, like you suggest. It seems many residents of Dubai do not find it necessary to use the brain. Something that can be very frustrating for those of us that do. It is not expensive to use the brain. In fact if put to good use, it can earn you money. Conversely, I have found that not using the brain or associating with others that do not use the brain can be very expensive. :D good one.;)

@halfmoon : some months back i grew wheatgrass. one poster advised here only and i felt silly afterwards as it is so easy :) just buy wheat grains from some Indian grocery store. soak them in water for 2-3 days, cover them and keep in warm place, till the time seedlings appear. not too much water. then plant them in a tray containing fertiliser and mud. they grow very speedily. use the shoots once they are big enough. happy growing :) Thank you..... I will sure try this.....seems very easy.... Happy new year to everyone..:)

Halfmoon, do you mean fresh wheatgrass? Most of the juice places have it from what I've seen (Pulp, Joga, etc). Or I suppose you could grow it yourself if you're not in a rush! I will be happy to have fresh ones, Can you tell me where I can buy seeds/plants for wheatgrass so I can grow it in my garden? Thank you
