I hope this article will clarify the doubt if it is allowed to wear national dress by expats or not. According to this article, nationals have no issues in expats wearing national dress as long as people respect the tradition of UAE. http://www.thenational.ae/news/uae-news/expatriates-reveal-why-they-adopt-uae-national-dress-and-customs For the national day celebration, it will be a pleasure to see all the children wearing national dress:)

There is no rule in UAE, which restricting foreigners from wearing UAE national dress. For national day celebration, it is preferred that children wear national dress. :) <em>edited by halfmoon on 21/11/2011</em>

I don't know if there is an actual show or not. The last time I was there, there was a model of one and it gives the occasional roar. Lol! Maybe the roar is the 'show'? May be, :)

I've not tried making fondant but according to these http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipes/tag-3084/fondant-recipes.aspx you can use liquid glucose and glycerine which you should either find in a supermarket or a pharmacy. Good luck Thank you.

My daughter (4) fell over recently and knocked the bottom teeth so they were loose, but not completely out. We left it thinking they weren't out, just loose and would re-cement themselves as we were advised. They didn't and proceeded to get even more loose to the stage where she didn't eat as it hurt her. So on 2 x dentists advice after x-rays, the two teeth were removed as they are only baby teeth and removing them avoided any more chance of root damage. Now she is happily displaying her missing two front teeth. Thank you for your reply. I will ask the dentist to remove the teeth as she is suffering with pain.

Guys, I hate to break it to you, but this thread is seriously old - and I believe the OP decided not to come after she heard about the difficulties of having special needs children here. As a mother of autisitc child i just answered the question OP asking, sorry I didnt check the date as I just saw this thread today.

Hi Sheila, I have a 12 years old high function autistic child, I do not want to disappoint you but there are very few options here for special need children. My son is attending Mirdif Private School but under the supervision of Stepping Stones. Stepping Stones is a USA based company providing service for autistic children. Hello Aroha, I am sorry to hear about your dad. I like to share something with you. One lady working in my DH's office told him her mother was suffering with Alzheimers and they did stem cells treatment in Mumbai. After receiving the stem cells for 8 months, her mother is feeling better, as most of the symptoms are disappeared now. Her mother traveled alone from India to Dubai last month and she has recovered a great deal. BTW, this stem cells are taken from the fat of patient only...

me again! i also stayed one night here: http://teabungalow.in/ absolutely stunning boutique place, amazing food, staff, rooms, bathrooms.....if your flight arrives late into kochin then it's nice to stay one night here before the 2 hour drive down to the houseboats... Kelly, I was checking out this hotel, looking amazing but its rate is very high...it is around AED 1,000 to 1,300, is this a normal rate in Kerala hotel? It is not even 5 star. Thank you.

Can you share the price here please? Think it cost here 1500GBP so about 9000 AED but she says it is worth every penny. Am very tempted myself :-) Thank you for the price. I am tempted to buy but it is a lot of money for a kitchen unit.
