sorry forgot to answer your question on the home catering... what sort of cuisine are you looking for... if Indian or Chinese I can recommend a very good service at a cost effective price (with live station, waiters, etc.)... but if you're looking for more international cuisine then companies like Yes Chef, Appetite, Jones, etc. all offer catering services

are you looking for normal banqueting tables or chairs? or for the outdoor garden sort (plastic/cosmoplast styles)? World Party Services do the regular banqueting tables and chairs for competitive prices... but if you're looking for the Cosmoplast styles then ACE Hardware (rental available only in the Festival City branch) offer this as well... If you're looking for more premium furniture such as Chiavari chairs, LED tables, rustic decor, etc then you will need to get in touch with Catertainment or Innovative Hiring, etc... but be warned that they are more expensive

i've previously bought at the Arte Souq... but haven't had the need of these for a long time so haven't been on the lookout... you could alternatively buy cheaper alternatives at Babyshop however if ur looking for the proper imported varieties then check this [url=http://eggsnsoldiers.com/product-category/cloth-nappies/nappies/all-in-ones/'>link[/url'> or [url= http://www.babycheeks.ae/'>link[/url'>

we went... it started sharp at 9pm... from 9pm to 9:30pm is the opening act... a comedian called Gregg Rogell opened for Russell... following that from 9:30pm to around 10:45pm Russell was on... it was awesome! i recommend coming by metro as it took us a good 45 minutes to get out of the parking tower at DWTC

If you are willing to let it go without selling it then Take My Junk will pick it up at no cost. They don't buy furniture but will remove it for free. i second the TakeMyJunk team... they're quick and efficient... u can whatsapp or sms them requesting for a collection and they will come dismantle and remove for FREE! i believe they then patch up the furniture and give them to labour camps, etc.

hi we'd be happy to share our itinerary... my hubby's friend who is srilankan and runs his own travel agency organised all our private vehicles and drivers for our trip and we made all our own bookings direct with hotels we did Colombo, Kandy (and en-route visited Pinnawala - the largest elephant sanctuary in SL), then Nuwara Eliya for the tea estates and hills (lovely parks and lakes), then Yala (for the wildlife tours) and then hit the beaches of Unawatuna, Bentota, Galle, etc before flying back we did a 10 day trip and broke our journey up well so that we didn't feel the pressure of the long drives... travelled with my hubby, my 8 yr old and my 3yr old last July

Hello, ladies! I`m organizing my son`s 5th birthday. This is our first year in Dubai, and I`m not familiar with the things here yet. The party will be in our house/garden, children will be about 10. I`ll need of somebody to entertain them - games, etc. for about 1 hour. As budget is not big, I prefer somebody with experience, but a freelancer or self employed, rather than from a company. Any suggestions? And one more question - which is the best place for buying party things - balloons, hats, plates... Thanks in advance! You could try http://www.meandriley.com/ and http://cheekylittleevents.com/ and narrow down what you actually want? Also maybe a magic show? Manda's magic is really good. http://www.mandasmagic.com/ don't bother... for all three of them, the charges start from around AED 1100/- per hour... and way over your budget if you feel like AED 500/- is too high for your crowd size

sorry not heard about the specific places you are referring to but it's common knowledge that most of the massage parlours that put in their business cards/magnets/flyers on cars parked in certain areas all offer such dodgy services!

how about doing something healthy together on the weekends when he's not pressurised or tired from work... a friday morning walk along the beach, or cycling at Nad Al Sheba or a 1hr bootcamp class on weekends... once he goes a few times together with you he might just start seeing the benefit in it

we've been at Horizon for the past five years and have seen a lot of changes over the years... the school did struggle with their communication with parents (both existing and potential) when they doubled in size around three years ago... things are much better now than they have ever been - in terms of communication as well as in other areas (such as facilities, senior management team, etc.) waitlists are unfortunately a distinct element of all the popular schools... and the one reason why many schools still adopt this format is because of the expat community here there is so much of movement due to relocation, residence changes, etc throughout the year... the schools need to fill places to keep their costs/revenues on track and they always need to have a backup/waitlist to fall on... unfortunately they cannot rely solely on this method as often many people on the waitlist would have also applied at multiple other schools hence when they actually start sending out offers not many come back positively! an evil cycle really... hope u hear back from the schools you've applied to and soon! all the best!

- for the decorators ... i can recommend better if u give me an idea of what sort of decor ur looking for ... koshas itself come in a range of price ranges from as less as 5000dhs for simple fabric ones to over 100,000dhs for more elaborate crystal and floral ones... aspects of it such as amount of flowers, amount of woodwork, custom or standard stage base, catwalk length/design, etc will all contribute to the costs... even within flowers you can use roses for 10dhs each to hydrangeas at 50dhs each - for the furnished apartments, there are many in the JLT/TECOM/Marina area that would be more budget friendly than trying to hire one on the Palm itself... though if you do decide to go via the Palm option then Kempinski offer some good options... alternatively you can also check on Airbnb as they often have suitable listings on there...

don't lose hope just yet... once the first round of offer letters go out parents have a fixed amount of time within which to come and confirm their offer with a deposit payment... not everyone accepts the offer (as they may have applied at multiple schools)... at that point the next round of offers will be sent... hope that helps! also, do check your SPAM folder in case the mail might have gone there instead!

the Splash Pad at JBR is fairly popular if you want to do a water based party... alternatively if you're looking at parks perhaps some of the newer (more quieter) parks such as Al Quoz Pond Park, Al Khazzan Park might be options for you if you're looking for play areas then the Bounce, Jump Boxx, Cheeky Monkey play area in J3 mall, the climbing areas at Adventure HQ, Pixies and Ponies etc. are all fairly popular... i'm an event planner so happy to help if u decide to go down that route

You can buy small popping 'fireworks' in the small roadside stores in Bur Dubai/Karama, but FIREWORKS (pop-in-the-sky style fireworks) are illegal for personal use. The smallpox-on-the-ground style ones still scare me to use around the children, but they are sold. yup if u head into meena bazaar (bur dubai) this week or next you are bound to find them in all the indian stores as it's a VERY popular activity during Diwali! :-) just please make sure you use it in an open an safe area and not within the proximity of trees, wood, etc.

I bought them in Carrefour, MOE, before. They had quite a few size options and they were rather cheap. Looking at Carrefour from the front, they were to the right of the store. thanks that's REALLY helpful... Carrefour is likely to be cheaper than Creative Minds!

Also Creative Minds have lots of easels ... not headed down to barsha yet... went to the creative minds branch in jumeirah but they didnt have any in white... might do a trip to barsha this weekend and look out for the same... thanks!

i don't think you can really compare the standard of education on the basis of the school being profit or non-profit... the main difference is that non-profit schools have a lot of their resources (such as rent/land, DEWA, etc.) subsidised by the respective country/government in order for them to be more competitive in terms of operational expenses... non-profit schools often give a higher preference (or in some cases, only accept) children that their school is subsidised for... as an example, the Indian High School in Dubai is only allowed to accept students of Indian nationality residing in Dubai (they have to support this with a tenancy contract during their application stage). a full list of schools with their profit/non-profit status and relative fees is available for download on the KHDA website

have you tried The Children's Place and Debenhams... they always seem to have lovely fun swimsuits for young girls Thanks a lot horizonmum, where in Dubai you suggest I go to have both shops having a wider range of collections/availability and sizes? I've actually only ever been to The Children's Place store in Ibn Batuta... but I normally order from the main store in the US (as they always have sales/discounts on)... but i think in dubai they have other branches in Al Ghurair, Mall and Dubai Outlet Mall... not sure of their current swimwear stocks (as the winter collection is now out) but best to call and check with them before going out to the store... For Debenhams I have always found their Mall of the Emirates store to be well stocked!
