Do your best and do not get a credit card!!!!! Its going to be very hard to close the loan later as the payments keep increasing on monthly basis.

Sorry but it's illegal to ask for money here, even if it's for charity.. I'm sure it was very kind of her to put all these people up but surely they wouldn't have expected to stay with her for free... undetected water leak get bills as big as that and more... I've known people in villas who've had undetected water leaks that haven't had bills that high...is she sure it's correct ? Bill for water is only around 300, the rest electricity!

Emirati ladies can go to the Monitstry of Social Affairs - so she can probably seek help (I am reading that she is national as you say she is from RAK and has a chld here s a single mum but unemployed - my apologies if I am wrong). She is expat but living in RAK. We have contacted many charity organizations when the accident happened but they are only for nationals, therefore we are left to ourselves here.

I'm a little confused by this as families were put up in hotels or given alternative flats by Ajman government and are getting compensation for their losses - as reportedly in virtually all the news papers. No, lots of families and tenants were left on streets. No compensation was given as long as I know. Many families were left with nothing and there was a cause on fb for first aid items collection. I believe because many apartments were owned and owners were outside the country and did not want to take responsibility. Families that don't have financial aid and relatives here had no place to go to.

11,400 dhs for a month, it's so much, couldn't the done ople living with her pay a share each, I understand that they lost their belongings, but they would still be going to work and get paid a salary they can't expect a single lady to pay everything for them. If someone wants to contribute to the bill, I guess you can see who the account belongs to and the outstanding balance. Can you pay that at Dewa or is it online? No one can expect leaving in the morning to work knowing that in the evening everything will be gone. Families that were at home when fire started managed to grab their documents and some valuable items, others didn't. The most help was offered to families with young families and new born babies. The first 3 weeks was a chaos for volunteers and there was a huge cause set up on fb, thanks to Elena. We purchased and collected clothes, bathroom items, medications, baby items, supplements, sleeping items and many more. Many had no place to stay in and obviously not everyone will let strangers in, even tho most of the villas have guest rooms. Maria was the only one of few to provide shelter to families in need. If anyone wishes to help Maria, contribution to the bill can be done through your online banking or FEWA machines in the malls. If you are paying via machine you get a print out with all the information of the account and it's holder. At the moment the bill is a little over 9000.

wooden dog houses are pricy, the approximate cost for a small / medium sized dog will cost around 6500 with material but if you get materials yourself it's much cheaper around 2500. if you are interested, I can share the number of the company that does it.

Apparently because many people were living and using much more electricity. Probably A/c and washing machine as they consume the most. I heard tariffs are also much higher in RAK than in Dubai but believe such cost could only be affected by number of people living.

You do not need any assistance! Everything is pretty simple. Just contact Emirates airlines and they will tell you everything. I flew from UAE to Czech Republic with Emirates and everything was perfect. You pay only for the weight of your cat + the cage. The cage should be the proper size so the animal can move around. Only one cat allowed in 1 box.

You can do everything yourself. The dog can travel with you as a luggage only if the flight is not more than 10 hours long, otherwise cargo.

The best place to obtain a dog from is a reputable breeder. Dogs have to born in the house, trained, and be socialized. Not to mention the health. You are getting a dog for 12-15 years.

Where to find a piñata in Dubai or Abu Dhabi or any other emirate. Very desperate to find one for coming holidays! I never purchased one before and have no idea what is the approximate price for them. Also do they come together with candies or I need to fill it myself? How to choose the right one? Any information will be appreciated.

Depends on what you want from a school. If education is your first priority and you want your kid to go to ivy league university then you should put her in emirates international school in Meadows. Seriously? I haven't heard anything complimentary about that school at all! Just the way the traffic is managed puts me off. Most of the students are Indians but education is very strong. Not all of the students manage to complete and many withdraw but who graduates from EIS are easily accepted into Ivy Leagues. They are not required to take SAT because of the system but if they do its a peace of cake for them. I am not sure about Jumeirah campus tho. But EIS in Meadows is the one!

Rabies vaccination should be not less than 1 month and not more than 12months. You will also need to obtain a health certificate. Check if you need to register the dog or get an approval for entering the country where you are going. Not all of the airlines allow pets to travel with you so you will need to send it as cargo.

Of course cyprus is much cheaper. I was in Madagascar 2 months ago and can definitely recommend it as Thailand is not an option anymore. For a limited budget you can also go to dominican republic

It's also one way of ensuring that the prospective new owners really want the cat, and are willing to take on a financial burden, rather than just getting a "freebie" and then treating it with an "easy come, easy go" attitude. What I used to do was ask them to make a donation to FF (envelopes availabe from most vets).Yes I was out of pocket but that wasn't the point a good home was the issue. There is always an adoption fee. It can vary from AED 5 - 500. It depends on the foster/rescuer. We had hundreds of situations when kittens were adopted without any fees and after 3 weeks families brought them back because their kids are done playing with them or wanted to exchange on a new one, just as if it is a toy! The fee gives some kind of ensuring that people are willing to take and keep the pet and for volunteers its covers some veterinary costs.

You best bet for now is to find a pet sitter. Many families are traveling right now and it is almost impossible to find a foster home.

I had a very good experience with rats and can say that they were best pets for my children. Our first rat was very female and did not stink at all, may be because she was smart enough to do all her business in one corner of the cage. She was allowed to run around our apt and never did her business around it. She was a best friend to my DD. The only sad/bad part is that they die to soon and it is very upsetting for the whole family.
