@Embo- Aah I am already missing Dubai, but the weather is really good here now:) So you are in the same situation as me, I did a quick research for schools for admission for the third term, I was not sure if they could get admission in the third term and thought they can get in next acadamic year, but they will get used to the new environment and wont be a shock next academic year after their LOOONG break. I am not sure about the school they will go next year,I mean from September but this term, I am looking into Lees Corner elementary school which lies in the area of our Hotel where we will be staying for next couple of months. maybe this link will help you decide http://www.schooldigger.com/go/VA/search.aspx?searchtype=1&zip=20151&within=5&level=1 It would really be nice to chat up with you, I will mail you soon:)

the only time I had to wear it indoors is when I had conjuctivitis and I was forced to go to a mall, my eyes looked horrible and I had no other choice, I got so many stares, I was so embarrassed.

Yeah I always loved making food from blogs as it has more detailed explanation compared to the sites where the recipes are vaguely explained...I have been following some blogs and tried out some recipes..and LOVED it, there is one Syrian foodie blog,,with all the Syrian recipes...I tried some recipes from it, and it turned quite close to the restaurant versions...I am so happy with it.

The neurologist prescribed Zomig for severe migraine which was to be taken alone.. NOT with any other pain killer like brufen or excedrin as it is very strong..if it is mild he asked me to have excedrin....and kept me on a 2 mnth prescription of topomax. But Zomig definitely helped me a lot a pack has only 3 tablets and a pack is i gues around 100 dirhams...not sure if it is over the counter drug...I

No,just doing powerwalks every morning and eating a lot less junk. I used to eat out 4 times a week and drink loads of alcohol. Havent eaten out or had any alcohol. Just goes to show the rubbish we put in our bodies Yeah, thats true especially when we start eating clean, you realize how much junk you ate...I guess sensible eating, portion control works in the long run rather than the fad diets like dukan etc..Really good job :)

Quinoa is super healthy and a good substitute for rice and pasta. I have found quinoa pasta in Waitrose and plain quinoa in the organic food store. My favorite recipe with quinoa is this: http://www.mylucky9.com/taste/saba-wahids-squash-quinoa-with-salmon. Saba Wahid's recipe. Super YUM. :) wow..thanx will try that

Most supermarkets have it I think - Lulu, C4, Spinneys, Waitrose, Park & Shop. It took me a few attempts to work out the correct ratio of water to grain, but finally found it to be similar to couscous in that 1 part grain to 1 and a bit water works. Add the grain to boiling water, then simmer, covered, for 20mins tops. Leave to stand for 5mins and then fluff up. Enjoy! wow....thanx for the timings and measurements

To the OP, I am so sorry to say this but I honestly think your husband has fallen out of love with you and his family. This is bigger than you think. I am almost crying for you and what he did. You need to be asking yourseldf some serious questions about the long term with him. wasn't yesterday bad enough for her ??? tell it like it is, why don't you..... seriously, derien, but OP is already sad right now, edited by husam on 11/01/2012

Husam, I was also on topomax and it works very well, and you may notice some weight loss whcih is always nice ( in my case anyway, i just lost my appetite and dropped a few kg). BUT i read they can cause hair loss so be watch full of that. Also, please make sure you are using contraceptives, as they can cause birth defects too, so my doc told me! Thats why ive come off mine now, in the hope to ttc at some point this year, just hoping my migraines dont come back with avengence too. Good luck!! HI Freckly ,YES it really worked wonderfully I was in so much pain, NOW I know migraine is not JUST a headache..so far I havent encountered hair loss or weight loss...;) ,I guess my body is made up of stubborn fat that refuse to go under any given circumstance...lol And birth defects? seriously?is it only during the medication or also after the medication is completed,I need to talk about this to the doctor, this is a matter really of concern becauseI plan to have a baby not now but maybe in future. Anyways good to know that you have recovered from it, and I ray that IT NEVER COMES BACK AGAIN TO YOU OR TO ME, OR TO ANYONE:(

Thank God the migraine is gone, but people left right everywhere started advising me to lose weight , I know thats the best thing that I want to do,but it is so easier said than actually done, have been trying to do it from almost 2 years but going nowhere, so thought maybe seeking professional help this time around will show some results,so booked an appointment with a dietician tomorrow, but dont know what to expect from the meeting, will the dietician device a meal plan? or medication?excercise plan?

I do try lots of cooking experiments and i have also had butter chicken many times and i feel that the recipe your trying to follow is probably not the best. Butter chicken needs cream to give it that flavour and texture. Plus i dont think yoghurt is required. It does not even need too many spices. You can probably make half the qty to just give it a try. And yes, i guess, you can use a little bit of garam masala instead of the spices. Best of luck and let us know how it was. edited by adesperatehousewife on 16/12/2011 Can you point me in the direction of a better recipe? Thanks :) Hi desertbookworm, I have an excellent recipe for butter chicken,if you dont mind all the exra calories from the cream, because my version's base is cream, so it is in the higher calorie range..but tastes exactly restaurant like butter chicken..

I think bath bombs give you some kind of vaginosis (SP!!!!) or something like that. I don't bathe so don't know, but I read a lot about it, and those chemicals cannot be good for your delicate areas. hahahahaha!!! you dont bathe?!:\: LOL...Some typos turn out funny...or is it not a typo...;) edited by husam on 14/12/2011
