I think you are very lucky and don't know it. You are leaving your child with your mother in law, instead of a nanny or maid. She maybe your mother in law ( that most of us dread ;) but she is the child's grandmother and has genuine love for him. She is not hired help to be left with set instructions. She is family and has parented before. The couple of hours, between nursery and the time you get home, you should just trust her! End of! If you can't, then you should reevaluate your options. No matter how tired you were last night, you had the option of taking care of DS yourself. She "HELPED" you, so no matter what she did, I would just let it pass and move on. Next time do it yourself, then there would be no issue. I am sorry but I have no tolerance for mums, who have help from families, and don't realize how lucky they are. I had zero help during my pregnancies and the years the children were young, and think the ones who have it should be grateful for it.

I am sorry, but none of them. I would not send my child to a nursery by any of those names, specially the last four. Names like First Steps Little Blossoms Little Academy New Beginnings Sound better to me.

This is for a 50 million dirham property in emirates hills, so money is not an object. The owners have seen a couple of designers and not been happy with the wait time (3 months or more) . They want professionals who can do a proper job within a reasonable time frame. And no, it is not for me :) I wish ;)

Have a look at https://www.facebook.com/SoothingHandBM/info?ref=ts She will teach the parent how to massage the baby, she doesn't massage the baby herself. She is a British trained midwife. She does group classes, individual classes and it can be done at her or your home. HTH edited by Irooni on 11/12/2013

sorry, but do people seriously not know what to do in the holidays ? We love just chilling out at home - I've been catching up on chores while my 9 year old has been happily playing and enjoying the fat that we can use the garden now it's cooler....yes it's nice to go out and do stuff but we can always find plenty to do at home... Exactly what we did today :) The children played in the garden and climbed trees ( yes, really :) and I had a cups of tea in peace without feeling the rush of homework, activities or bedtime. It was a lovely day :)

Hello RuthM. Yes women in Iran do ski. Regular skiing gear is fine, you just need to cover your hair. You can travel on your own and don't need a male relative with you anywhere. I don't ski, and havent been to shemshak or dizin (the pistes close to tehran) but I know of many non iranian avid skiers who have gone and enjoyed it.

Trust me feefmick, I am not into making things up. Many people on this forum know me personally, I am just not like that! The ones who have left have all left HAPPY, but they have left for a bigger challenge. Repton follows the ISEB whereas DESS is national curriculum, and some wanted that change, in preparation for thier school of choice in the UK. I remember one parent saying their child was a "big fish in a small pond".

Yes for one year! I have left that job 3 years ago, so it doesn't really mean anything. It is not like I am on their payroll! Yes, we are both free to comment on any thread that we please; which makes me free to say, your grudge against Repton is too old! Your review of the school is from 5 years ago, so much has changed since.

You know the answer to that don't you? Cause you know who I am and I know who you are! Its really tiring. You really need to let this go, its been over 5 years now! This might be the only school "my" children have gone to but it is not the same for sooooo many others I know. I know dozens of parents with children who have moved from excellent schools in UK, who are happy. So many went back to the UK to top school. So many moved from Kings, Jess, Dess and all other ones that are so sought after and are happy! What works for one family may not work for another. However generally parents and pupils at Repton are happy which is why they stay. Repton is a huge school and what you hear on expatwoman even if it were from 20 different posters, it would account for one class! The whole school is NOT on expatwoman.

As wifey's credibility is questioned maybe mine as the oldest, longest standing member of EW, who has never been banned, won't be!! I am a happy Repton parent. I have two children at the school. We are an Emirates family and have Debentures at the beloved DESS and JESS, but we are staying put at Repton. I am out of energy for dealing with all this negativity on this forum towards Repton. I will be happy to speak to anyone who has any questions about the school via email or even on the phone.

Generally all English Curriculum schools, take children who turn 4 years between september 1 and august 31st of that academic year in for FS1. So if your child is september 24, techinically he has missed he cut off date by 24 days. He will be one of the eldest children in the class, which will be to his benefit later on. HTH ETD: and to answer your original question :) yes, he will be too young, as all the other children in the class will be turning 4 from september 1st 2014 to august 31st 2015, where as your son will turn four spetember 2015. He will be anywhere from a a month to a year younger than his peers. edited by Irooni on 26/10/2013

Can it not be, that the child in question has accidentally witnessed something she shouldn't have. Maybe played a DVD by mistake? Slept in the parents room one night and been awake, without them knowing it? Is the child being abused, the only possibility? (really gives me the chills) :(

I'll teach you something so you'll never forget. Allah has 99 names. 18 + 81= 99 On the palm of everyone's hands is 81 (left hand) and 18 (right hand), in the Arabic numbers. ٨١ + ١٨ء= ٩٩ And 81 minus 18 is 63, prophet muhamad's age.

I took my daughter. I am no fan myself. i never would have thought that so many older people would be there, I thought she targets the younger crowds like Justin Bieber does. Waiting while standing for 3 hours, is no fun :( But once she came, she put on a good show. I did not understand a word she sang expect the phrase "please don't stop the music" but my daughter thought she was dreaming. She was really freindly, very cute and has a smile that melts any heart. But really its not like she was working or cleaning the house or stuck in traffic, what is the deal with making people wait 3 hours???
