The parents have already approached the school, but just heard a flat out no, in response. I am trying to help them go through the KHDA and/or ministry. Just don't know where to start.

A friend mine was shocked to find out at my 6 year old was still awake at 9pm on a Friday. She was so proud that her 5 year old son had never ever been awake to see/ experience the night/dark cause he always went to bed at 630pm!!:\:

Actually..as a wine-drinking chain-smoking slummy mummy who sends her kids to school with marmite (yes marmite!...remember than one?) sandwiches, I think this thread is a refreshing change :D Ummm..... What's wrong with marmite? Lots of vitamin B!;)

Hi, Gabsgirl. My bro moved from Twickers in London to West Van in BC some years ago. His lads were 3 and 6 when they went and they're thriving. They sold their London flat to buy a house on Marine Drive West Van which is the most expensive place in the country, but with excellent free state (public) schools locally. My brother is in IT and found a permanent job with good hours in the government sector and they are now Canadian citizens. They are really happy there, loads of sports for the lads, good quality of life for families. They're not going back to London in a hurry. However, they are struggling financially because of where they chose to live, as they have a massive mortgage. In their place, I'd have bought in a less salubrious area and sent the children to not as good schools, which would still have been good, and free. I think Vancouver is a wonderful place, it regularly tops the list of world best places to live, but you need to have your financial ducks in a row before you go there. Can't help you about construction, but would so happily move there if we had the opportunity. Good luck. Oh my that must have been some flat!! A house on marine drive in west van is for millionaires.

For all involved in my thread yesterday. This is a forum, comments don't need to be directed at someone in particular for that somone to get involved. @marroush you said what you thought, I did the same. @shopgirl, I took no offence at all, when you assumed I am loning for a dog and can't have one cause I am a muslim. And as you read, I was fine with twking the time to completely explain my situation to you. I missed a lot of the thread yesterday as I was out from school pick up onwards. But it must have gone haywire, as it was deleted:)

Absoluetely horrid, every single time! I doubt they are canadian. I think they are lebanese, as the staff have to speak french, english and arabic, the lebanese usually have this qualification. And no, I dont mean the lebanese are rude!

Personally, I would do it. I mean if she is near by and they are in the same class, what's the big deal?!? Your driver is not diverting anyway. But if you are ot happy to help out, then just tell her, as it is. edited to remove 3 extra is's and as's and it's:) edited by Irooni on 03/10/2012

So , let me see if I understand this right. Your child is not 3 by august 31st, but you still want him/her to go to FS1? I really hope is this not the case. If it is, try reading the the threads about summer babies.

I really don't understand this "adopt a pet" brigade!!! Maybe the poster wants a specific pure breed! Why should she not have the option of doing that, without getting run down by EW?!!?

MISoMa, sometimes when I read your posts, I think one of my sisters has set up this account and is writing pretending to be me! The american Tv, Noise and now this. Just a couple of days ago I told my sister, one of these days my poor back and shoulder will start charging the ladies transportation fees! My back and neck are done too! I. Canada MSP covered breast reduction for medical problems, dont know wabout the private insurance companies here. Our insuarnce is with EK, so I am sure there is no chance there! A couple of years ago a freind told me about bravissimo, but how can we get fitted for this in dubai?

I was a TA in FS2 and have been the when the children change. Its is so innocent, its like they had their ear or eyes! Its that normal! They are too young to care, or to feel shy and show modesty. i never once saw, any of them look at each other in a strange way, they dont't bat an eyelid!
