I'm back with another question :) Baby Bling make a money rose or money tree where coins or notes are formed into a tree/flower - quite pretty and I thought a really nice way of giving cash instead of just putting it into an envelope. Would this be acceptable along with some clothes and toys? Or would it embarrass them? I know they would appreciate money but would giving it openly in flower-form be bad? I feel a bit miffed cos I always liked him and I give him food and water every day along with cold water and a towel to cool himself down So sorry to say this, but you gave him more than an inch. A towel? Daily meals? no wonder. Wow! Giving someone some basics to cool off in this cruel heat and a meal, he cannot afford is a lot?? It's really nothing. I do that everyday too, plus an area to rest. It's about doing what you can, to make a little difference in someone's life.

I found it hard to sleep last night, completely overwhelmed with such sadness for the poor little souls and the teachers. So heartbreaking. I did not sleep a wink last night. I feel sick for these poor families :(

Yes, they were both there. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Yesterday after pick up, this morning and this afternoon again. Bums on seat and immediately I hear CLICK!! No asking, no begging, no fighting, no threats..... They sat without moving about and saying "can I get out for one second"?? Or getting out of their seats earlier because oh we are almost home! They are displaying their buckle up in the back sticker on either window and very very happy to be protected by the seatbelt now. They are doing for themselves not cause Mummy said so. I am truly very grateful to you for this. You have made my driving and journeys with the children much easier.

My cousin's Irish wife makes the best Yorkshire puddings ever!! I use her recipe and hubby eats them like they were corn nuts. I bought some frozen ones today, and forgot to put them in the freezer. I had six of the twelve before I put them ithe freezer, they didn't even make it to the oven:D

I understand your point Angela. I am really not trying to make professors at this age. I may come across as this mother who is constantly pushing her children and only accepts high achievements. However all I am really trying to do is ease their load my helping them understand the subjects and concepts better. If they come out with low grades at the end of the year, it's only going to mean they will have lower understanding of what's coming up next year and in turn they will grasp new information harder. All that aside, as much as I value children having a proper childhood playing and just being children. I also believe that some discipline towards schooling and work needs to be instilled from the younger years. You can't suddenly tell them to get serious in the senior years. I appreciate your response and you are right, I should cut them some slack:)

The entire percentage on the final report card, depends on this final exam. So I really don't know what a proper exam is,if this isn't one.

Okay so we get home a bit after 3pm from school. The children had a extra long day studying for exams and an early morning revising. I told them to relax a little. Before I knew it they were cuddling under a blanket and they fell asleep. I thought oh well, that's great, they will wake up fresh and we will revise. Errrr it's 7:30pm and they are still asleep!!! Exhausted?

Its really not worth a visit why do you say that? The clothes, shoes, toys and bags are all of a disposable quality. What is worth buying is the hair accessories and imitation jewellery (there must be a better word for this!). But, then the drive, the traffic and the parking are such a nightmare that make the little bits and bobs less attractive. If you want to go to a different place for good discount shopping with lots of different items, go to the new day to day opposite deira city centre. Easy drive, free underground parking.

Driving to and from the villa is an absolute pain. If you want to go towards the ranches or Abu dhabi / jabel Ali, you have to drive all the way down to silicon oasis's exit to take the abu dhabi exit and get on the opposite direction of emirates road. Not to mention getting to the villa, going through the global village exit. Never the less the villas and the finishings are lovely.

Get a big blanket out, plonk a whole lot of toys on it and let your two year old play. Later give her/him some colours and paper, get a few books out and read to him/her. Your little one should be ok in the rocker or swing. Let him/her have some tummy time on the blanket. Before you know it the day is over.

Lol I am def in with the no makeup, flip flop wearing set. Is there a no bra set I can join, too? I am not a morning person! I really don't care tho so long as the kids are happy and stay pretty down to earth. i'm with you on the no make-up and flipflops but sadly gravity is tragically against me on the no bra question !!! :D Oh if the chidren are old enough to be dropped off while you are still in the car, go without th bra, no one will notice!;)

My children's classmates have all been lovely children. 5 years, 2 classes, between the both of them, that's a lot of classmates! And really none of them have been snobbish.
