Morning everyone ! This feels a little strange thing to do but since moving to DSO Cedres villas I've found it really hard to meet "normal people". I've been in Dubai for 4 years and love it the kids are happy at school and I work part-time so feel like I can escape!!! But I'm really missing having friends in the same residential area, for the kids to play with me to chat to, meet at pool , have a bottle of wine etc. etc ........ I keep finding myself going back to where we used to live which isn't ideal and not helping the kids. So this I suppose is a friend request ! Now that bounds pathetic I know but a bit desperate!! Wow, you really have it in for the EK families don't you? NORMAL PEOPLE??? wow!

Please don't do a full on party for your LO. S/he will hate it! Get 3-4 of her play mates together and family (if you have any). You don't need entertainers. At this age they can entertain themselves. A few toys on the floor will be enough. Timing wise it's best to do it after, their afternoon nap. You can put up decorations according to your theme, for the sake of pretty photographs! HTH

I was always a book worm and I kept most of my books for my children. I have a hard time parting with books. I am thinking of keeping my children's for their children. What do you think? Sell what they are done with and buy more or keep what I can to pass on to the next generation? In this day and age it's the only thing that won't go out of fashion.

After 19 years, I think you should just cal, email, text, see each other less, not cut her out completely. Besides after 19 years can you not talk to her about how you feel? Old is gold in friendship. Don't destroy a wall over one or two loose bricks.

During the 'procedure' the hypnotist make theatre noises play and releases the smells of an OR. Once you are 'awake', you know it was only hypnosis but an area of your brain believes it was operated on. I have heard the best clinic for this is a place in Spain. A bit hard to believe this actually works
