18 children in a class Two fully qualified teachers( not a mother who is looking for somenthing to do on her free time!) A proper art teacher (not the class teacher filling this role) Extensive sports program And finally a bilingual program....(English Arabic) My son has been attending a BC school fort the past 4 years and only have some vocabulary from his arabic classes.... not to mention hes no able to follow a simple conversacion.... But why oh why should any class have two fully qualified teachers??:\: teacher and teaching assistant is the norm!

How much is a Miele, I am also interested. Otherwise I have heard very good things about Rainbow but t is around 10 000 dirhams and it is not only a vacuum cleaner. Rainbow works with water. We had one 20 years ago, nothing to rave about. I am sure they have changed over the years.

When I was moving and had sold everything. The last day I asked my neighbour to borrow her vacuum to do a final clean up. It was a Miele and it was absolutely amazing. It is very quiet but the really does a fantastic job cleaning. P.S. she had a dog.

I'm finding it really hard to see what I am typing in the 'add a message box', even with my glasses on!- the font is so tiny. Could it be made a bit bigger please! TIA I am with you. I always end up editing my posts, immediately after adding them, cause I only see my typos after I post.

Yes, children in British schools read, write and do mental maths at a younger age compared to their counterparts at American schools. However in my experience, children at American schools are far more relaxed and generally much happier than the ones in British schools. They certainly get a lot more time to just be children. <em>edited by Irooni on 02/05/2012</em>

The list is just fine. It's what any house needs to look neat and tidy and in order. My maid never did over 3/4 of that list. I did it when I had her and still do it now without her. I cook and do everything that is associated with taking care of 2 children, as well. I wish i had a maid to do all this for me but i dont think any maid (in dubai) can do that list properly! Also, I don't think there is anything OCD about ironing sheets or towels, the mad me wont have them any other way:))

(The latter for millions of pounds) Crikey. It looks like the bits of paper I have on my desk to scribble on to get my pen working when it goes dry as we got a bad batch of pens from the suppliers... I have one on my desk at the moment, perhaps I could auction that. I have also seen lots of "artwork" like this in the stationary shops- the sides of boxes etc where everybody scribbles to test the pens. ;) Haha that was my first laugh out loud of the day. Thanks

No sue. Having worked at VISA's fraud department for years, I can assure you the only time the bank will pull out the merchant receipt copies from the archives is when a customer claims they did not make a purchase and are denying the transaction.

Actually the number of young girls (and boys) now casually swearing seems to be increasing daily. As the mother of teen boys it is something i've noticed when picking them up from parties etc. Why feel the need to say 'that is f-ing wicked!'Why not just say it is wicked? Why the need to use obscenities in our day to day language? And when did it become acceptable to use them in front of adults? Lets face it, most peoiple swear, but in public? in front of our kids? at each other ? Am I old fashioned? Maybe, but I still tell my kids that the use of casual swear words in a conversation shows a distinct lack of grammar. The English language has a variety of words that are far more cutting and descriptive than any swear word. My kids now make it a weekly challenge to come up with a new one that is acceptable and used in the right context . Fun mealtimes I can tell you :) My children are only 6 and 8, at this stage idiot and stupid are on our bad list too. Although, they hear them in cartoons all the time.

I have just been very busy these last two weeks, and it's been a domino effect. But it's given them so much more free and play time and awake hours with us. Everything has even more relaxed and less rushed so I have rather enjoyed it. We are considering it with DH, just wanted to her someh opinions.
