Some women can be so ungrateful honestly. The poor man has spent over 300000 dollars to get them to the UK in the first place. Then the cost of a new house? He still can't leave his home country cause he can't support them without his work there. He has even askd my husband to buy a whole lot of AppLe products for them on his next trip there.Everything from iPhones and iPads to MacBook air and a 27 inch iMac! And now instead of appreciating a man like this, she is just thinking of just getting more and more! And no I am not judging, I have known them very very well for years! Some strange wives out there! Thanks for your help everyone i will make sure hubby informs his friend.

Technically there is nothing wrong with Dubai water, it just tastes horrible! I cook with it, but can't drink the tea made with tap water.

Irooni, are your kids at school? Is all this stuff going in a lunch box in their school bag or are they somewhere it can be refridgerated or heated up when ready to eat? I like those ideas, but would be concerned about bacteria growth and causing food poisoning if I was to put them into an insulated lunch box with only a frozen drink to keep them cool. Sue62, how do you stop the tuna sandwich from going soggy? edited by The Fairybread Thief on 09/10/2011 I put them in the Coleman lunch boxes with a big icepack. I worked at the school last year and kept a close eye on this. Everything in the box was cold until lunch. my daughter does complain from time to time that she wants a ho lunch, but that's the bet I can do:( To keep the tuna sandwiches from going soggy, I use frozen bread in the morning.

Darling it is not for my son. It is for a collegue's son. They are new to Dubai and this is the last thing they need. It has caused a lot of problems at school for the LO, and they are happy to control it with the medicine. But the side effects are beginning to outweigh the good its doing:( edited by Irooni on 07/10/2011

Seriously, what lovely people! This post is dedicated to all the beautiful Scots I have met in my life, I wish I get to visit your country one day.

It's Rugby..........not a tea party! All about male self confidence and (barely) legalised aggression. We (Scots) won the Grand Slam in 1990 with Flower of Scotland - growled, not sung by a choir.....and breaking with all tradition, instead of the usual run onto the pitch.......a slow menacing walk. REALLY upset the English press, brings a tear to my eye even now! I love the haka! And yes its fair! LT I am going to have a look on youtube for a clip on what you mentioned, i will come bug you for it, if i didn't find it :)

That's what I think. I think once you learn the fundementals and foundations properly, the rest will just fall into place. I don't understand why it is done the other way around these days. Lots of emphasis on mental maths and the children don't learn the proper ways of addition and subtraction.

Lord knows how many times I have just missed running over a toddler in the school carpark because for WHATEVER reason, even if it is WORK, the parents have decided to send a zillion children to school with a 20 something year old nanny! Once a nanny had a baby around 4 months in one arms, new toddler in one hand, 2 school age children walking, 3 year old suddenly rans in front of the car! I may be driving at 4kms an hour but it is just not safe practice. A mother can do it even with 7 children, but a young gal, no sorry, just not the wiser thing to do!
