Careful with the vouchers and the alcohol packages - we recently went to Beachcombers and only 1 of the 3 vouchers from the book includes the alcohol package. Pesky small print!

Thanks. I contacted Genius and they were really helpful. Not only that, they are charging HALF what another agency had quoted for the same service and their timescales are much less. Great tip, thanks again!

Hi Elmpark. No, you will still need to go to the UAE embassy in London for a 'stamp'. This is the one I didn't know about (unclear instructions from HR in my new company) and this is now going to delay my start date by 15-20 extra working days. I've paid the following fees here - UK embassy attestation 180 aed, MOFA attestation 155 aed. Once you get the apostille from the FCO I think you still have to have it stamped by the UK embassy here in the UAE - I certainly did before the MOFA would entertain it. Hope this helps, all the best :)

Ok, so I went up to the MOFA this morning and was again turned away with my BC stamp. Save yourselves time and just go to the Embassy people :))

Thanks Yorky - that actually makes sense. I'll email them and make sure it's clear I'll be in the buggy.

Hi all - and thanks again for your helpful responses. Kiwispiers - I have tried coal tar in the past and found it ok - I think the effect it has depends on the volume of coal tar in the lotion or cream you get. Also, I used this during a particularly bad period whereby everything I tried seemed to work temporarily and then my immune system built up a resistance to it so I had to constantly change. Re the nigella oil - I'm going to Geant TODAY, thanks for the tip! If you're having a flare up and pregancy doesn't forbid its use I recommend you try it. It contains anti-histamine which soothes and stop the itching Kathyt - I heard this also and will investigate - when I lived in Holland they were real advocates of Mare's milk which I took so assume similar properties in camel's milk? FrancieBrady - I use natural pure coconut oil too but for me personally it only seems to work if I put it on the affected areas then lie in the sun (which I continue to do) :)

Thanks all for your replies - they're really helpful. I'll try the Dubai Mall as a first port of call and will also get in touch with Heather Eade. Thanks so much again!! :):):)

Thanks for the info - I am familiar with the debate surrounding homeopathic treatment, however it is my personal choice to use natural products to manage my skin condition. I am trying to obtain natural creams to contain the plaques, not medicines to be taken orally, although I personally don't see the harm in a placebo effect in this case - when you live with a skin condition which has no known cure, you'll try anything! I have seen 12 dermatologists in 4 different countries and following various treatments (light therapy, countless steroids, and very nearly immuno suppressive drugs) I decided to look to alternative methods to manage what is a very painful and distressing condition. I mean no disrespect to the medical profession but I do believe it is up to the individual to decide what works for them.

I am new to Dubai and fast running out of my homeopathic treatments purchased in Europe. I have chronic psoriasis and urgently require replacement creams. Can anyone recommend a homeopath or a homeopathic pharmacy/natural health store? I am looking for mahonia cream and Egyptian Black Seed oil/ Black Cumin oil (nigella sativa) specifically. Many thanks in advance
