Snugs, thanks so much for all your info! Its looking quite promising, just need to persuade DH!!! Did u rent a car before goign? Any recommended company? I have been dealing with a lady called poy at samui villas....she quoted me some set rates for babysitting which i thought would be a bit lower, i'm sure it could be negociated....our 2 are small small as well so yes plan would be to venture out while they sleep! We're not too keen on taking our housemaid as it wouldnt feel like our own place, yet nor do we want to be stuck in all the time!!! Really appreciate your feedback, thanks, it helps a lot!

Hi - looking at this as an option for 2 weeks in August - i found an old thread where someone mentioned Samui villa rentals, looked like a good idea. Anyone got any experience with this and any recommendations please? Anywhere we stay needs to be child friendly! Thank you!

both DS have one, with the younger one i used to leave it on for his day sleeps and take it off at night, but i stopped doing that a while ago and he now wears it continuously, inc bath (he is nearly 13 mths) not sure if it works or not, but we never seem to have any probs with teething, just a lot of dribble!!

we've had the white one for ages and generally love it, although recently we've been having the same problems as quicksilver, with me having either to reload itunes or restart apple tv, so frustrating!! am wondering if newer versions of itunes are less compatible with the older apple tvs?? dont know what it is, it does drive me crazy though!! other than that, love it as we play internet radio and have all our photos scrolling up on the screen at the same time...

Yes!!! Spent a week there over august a few years ago.....lovely magical place, almost stuck in time!! There is a min spend per night, so all the hotels tend to be up arket, they are trying to preserve the peace of the place and stop it from being overrun by backpackers. We were based in Paro at the Uma Paro hotel, fab. Since i went a couple of fab looking Aman hotels have opened, as well as a Taj in the capital. Go if you like exploring, peace, hiking, beautiful scenery (almost swiss alp like!) - its one of those wake up early and do things trips, not party all night..... Its a great place combined with another destination - we also did parts of thailand as you can fly from bangkok. Check out tuis website wwww.ampersandtravel.com great travel advisors based in uk, they could handle your accomodation etc, you just book the flights.....let me know if you want any more info! BTW weather in august is cool and can rai. - perfect if you ask me as an antidote to the heat here!!!

Hi, after several terrible experiences with various companies, we have finally found a good one, actually through EPW! Call wassim on 050 8860931 from Dream Flowers, we have been using them for a while now, and have recently revamped the whole garden, excellent team. Good luck!

We bought a Like a bike from Wollfi's bike shop, if you google like a bike, they do make wooden ones, but the ones stocked by Wolfi are aluminium, and have really good tyres etc...DS has been riding it since his 2nd bday, he is 21/2 also, and flies like a rocket on it! it's a great success....make sure you buy a helmet as well!

hi - i recently did this, it is connected to your mobile line, not your land line. i have an etisalat mobile No which has a data package, i paid AED100 for an additional micro sim card for my ipad....just go to any etisalat sales centre and they will do it for you, providing you have a data package on your mobile

Hi again lemondrops, ds2 also suffered from reflux, elevating his bed really helped, i bought cot blocks by spacebabies, babysouk stocked them at the time but failing that, you can order from amazon... Hope you manage to find some gaviscon

Hey lemondrops, isnt time flying? Hope things are gradually getting easier.... Anyway when i fed ds2 with bottles, initially i would use the faster flow teat as he would want quick gratification, and then switch to the slower flow one for the remainder of the feed. Avent sell teat caps, ie so you can carry a spare sterilised teat with you if you need it, hope you understand what i mean. But it worked well until he was fully used to the bigger teat, and then we'd repeat until we got to no 4! He wanted quick feeding, but definately gagged as he got tired, so this seemed to be a good solution... Hope you get it sorted! Good luck!
