Actually, I have a first and second stage spare... So they're yours for the duration of their stay if you want.

Hmm...I would probably put the two older ones in the back...but then I'm not sure 2 rear facing ones will fit next to one another in the front row. The little arch thing makes them a bit wider. Leave it with me for a sec, when I get moment I'll go out and have a look and a think for you. By the way, if u need a stage 2 seat. I have one you're welcome to. Saves your sis having to travel with 2 chairs.

Yes, you'll manage this as long as not isofix seats, as these will only fit in the front row of back seats. The biggest nightmare will be strapping the kiddies in the last row in. And remember that to get to the back row you will have to life the single side of the first row...so you can't put a car chair there...you'll have to have one on the middle and one at one of the sides. Hope I've made some sense, finding it hard to explain after 4 nights of virtually NO sleep at all :-(

You ladies are all SO good. Food is my weakness, I LOVE it and I have a serious sweet tooth. I'm going to try these fab ideas though ladies as I have a few kilos more to shed from having my DS's, so thanks for sharing.

It depends on your tummy muscles and whether they have closed and joined in the middle again. I was advized to do small little movements until then. Not that ive been doing them ;-) you basically push with your palm of your hand against your alternating knee while lying on your back and your feet placed flat on the ground with knees bent. Hope I've made sense.

kells honey, you could be looking at waterfront property tomorrow morning but hey, get out the boots lol So true SueB, but hey, at least I haven't had to invested millions of dirhams on my waterfront property...even if it only has "views of the water" once or twice every year. Hope it carries on tomorrow so DS and I can go sloshing about in the puddles (or "water Ponds" as the RTA put it). The only thing I DO hate about this weather is the state of the roads and these crazy mutters who continue to drive so recklessly :-( I have heard sirens on the Emirates rd twice since it started coming down a bit harder at about 5pm Stay safe ladies.

I love it!!! DH and I have been waiting for this weather. DS and I went out for a play in it before bathtime. He was hysterical...all because of the rain. And the best is waking up tomorrow and looking out the window...everything looks so clean and bright. Looks like angels ame down and washed all the dust away while we were sleeping. Just beautiful.

Forever21, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. May your little precious angel rest in peace. Well done for being such a brave mommy and for doing all you could do. Take it easy and don't be hard on yourself. Letting DS1 get away with a little more then usual righ now really doesn't matter. When things are more settled she will fall back into her old ways, don't stress. Huge cyber hugs xxx

I always use to buy the full fat local one too and add fruit. I used to do the fruit and freeze it an everymorning just defrost a few cubes of the desired fruit, mix it in with the yoghurt and Bob's your uncle. Or I'd buy the over priced fromage frais from Spinneys when I was feeling lazy...and rich like pentel ;-)

Oh babe. You are doing great and so is little J. I have no experience re premmies but I do have experience with paeds here and can say yes, very often most of them are happy to encourage formula feeding over bf. With E, I kept getting told he wasn't gaining enough and to put him on formula. And the paed I saw at City for M's first follow up visit told me that formula would be better for Max as u mentioned he seems to have reflux. The only paed I have found to be really knowledgable and supportive of bf is Dr Loubser. I know there are other great ones out there...but just talking from my own experience. I'd do a search on here and take J to see someone who comes highly recommended on this board. Thinking of you.

I'd say give it to him. Babies find the sucking very comforting. Both my boys have been sucky babies and without pacifiers I would have gone nuts. It's not too long till he'll be able to put it back in his mouth by himself. I'd rather wake up to pop a dummy back in his mouth all night long then have to wake up to him screaming and trying to consol him but not being able to:-(

Yes. She's in mirdif 3 days a week. The clinic is at Uptown Mirdif. By Zaks school shop, near Caribou coffee. Give them a call and ask to speak to her and see what she says as I'm not sure of te answer myself. There is also an option to email her via their website.

When my hands are looking/feeling tired I give them a scrub with olive oil and sugar before going to bed. It works beautifully. Maybe try it a few nights in a row. And you could wear some gloves too if u like, keep them moist. do you wash them after u rub it in? or u just sleep with the olive+sugar scrub on? Sorry, I should have been more clear. You rince them Clean and then pat dry.

I would like to know - do you continue treatment even when things seem 'sorted' to make sure they stay sorted? or do you only go when things are unsorted? I was told to come back after a month. I'm yet to take DS back (been meaning to call and book all morning). Not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but DS reflux seems to have come back flightly in the last week...so I'm wondering if it's because he needs further treatment??? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Thanks for the advice ladies. Led weaning sounds like a good idea, but just putting her in a high chair makes her mad! I really think she just isn't ready. Poor thing has been through a lot, and she does not like her schedule to be changed! Adding solids is changeing her routine and she just isnt adapting to it yet. I am going to try the led weaning even if she just sits in her chair 5 minutes until she starts to get use to it. Sounds like a fab plan. Do it at a time when you are all around the table. She will see it is "fun" and in her own time I'm sure she will begin to enjoy being in her highchair and as soon as she's ready she'll be making huge amounts of mess while exploring her food.

can I aks what kind of "issues" your babies had? I dont even know if osteopathy is the answer to our issues.. My DS had reflux so I initially took him for that. Lauren discovered a few other issues, tension in his skull and also a stiff neck, she worked on it and the results have been wonderful.

I would agree, she's just not ready yet. I have decided to do baby led weaning with DS2. You basically put food in front of them at 6 months and let them feed themselves. It does say inthe book though, that at 6 months they are only at the exploring age and copying what they see from siblings and parents. So mot much actually passes their lips. It's only at around 8 months where they start taking food in. I bought my book of Amazon but I'm sure Magrudy's sell it, if you're interested. There are also some great websites, just google. I really wouldn't stress, as long as she's having her usual amount of milk maybe a little more then usual, she'll be just fine. Try not to stress.

It's really hard TJ isn't it. I think of my boy everyday since he left and although the pain of not having them around gets easier with time, the emptyness neve does. And not knowing how they left and where they are makes it so much harder.

Sorry to bump up an old thread - but I think these are the trees DH and I are thinking of putting in our garden. Can someone please post a photo or picture so i can be sure if its the same tree? We don't want to buy them if they do damage... Thanks! Shellly, we got Neem trees instead of these bad trees as we had the baddies up in our old villa and they totally destroyed the pipes underground. The Neem trees aren't as dense and don't grow as fast though.

Fair enough JJ. Sorry... My responses are slow as dealing with ratty DS. I totally agree with you in letting the police do what they need to do. But I felt "crystals" could maybe help as like I say, I've been blown away with what she has told me this week regarding a few things. She's a mther herself and like a previous poster said. It's a motets instinc to want to get involved and help in situations like these.

Would it be a good idea to contact Radio 1 etc? At least they can get the message out there? There will be a reason why the media is not yet involved if he is infact still missing. Let's just sit tight and wait for any updates.

We need an update! I have contacted "crystils" she's getting dressed and ready to walk around and see if she pick up on anything. Would be great to get her a pic though. Or put her in contact with the family? I know some are skeptical about all this mediumship, I was too. But she has been in contact with me about my missing cat and just from seeing his photo, it's amazing how much information she has come up with. Good idea! Regardless of people's possible skepticism about this kind of stuff, if she came up with even the smallest piece of information then its worth it. I've told her all I could gather from this thread and she's headding out now. But obviously more info would be better. And a picture!

She posted on her a few days ago about using her talents to help owners find their lost animals!?! If u can get a pucture of the boy to her she may be able to help. Have emailed her to look out for this thread.

No, you are not supposed to hold your breath. My physio helped me get it right cos like you, I could only do it whilst holding my breath. Get someone to coach you through it. Get them to feel your pelvic area by gently digging their fingers in at the side. Pull your pelvic floor up and get them to count and hold while you concentrate on breathing. They will be able to feel when you have dropped the hold and can get you to start again and carry on until you get it right. It took me a while and I still have to concentrate while doing it or I end up holding my breath. Yes, as far as I know, having our period shouldnt influence it, but I stand corrected.

We went to Bandos in 2007 with the kids and had a great time. It wasn't quite as romantic as other islands but as Kellsbells said, it ticks all the boxes for a family holiday. If it hasn't gone downhill since I went then it's a relatively cheap and easily accessible island that I would recommend. hehehe...was just about to add that it is nowhere near as romantic as some of the places...but then, if it's not your honeymoon??? Things change when you have kids and for me the fact that it was close to Male and a hospital and the airport if the unthinkable were to happen makes it a winner.

I can recommend Bandos. We went there when DS was 11 months old. Chose it because it was a short 20 minute speed boat ride from Male so close enough incase of an emergency. They were fab and really great with the children. Geared up for young families. They also have a lovely day care so you can leave your little one there if you and hubby fancy a quick snorkel together....oh and the reef there is beautiful! Can't wait to go back!!!
