So happy for you girl . I also think he should never know about EW or that you are sharing the details with us. Its a girly thing and most men don't get it really. For the restaurant , I always prefer it if the guy chooses the place for the first dinner date . It shows me what his taste is and how much he is trying to impress me .lol In your case , Madinat would be a great choice .Try to pick a romantic place that is not too crowded . Check the restaurants in Royal Mirage or Al Ghasr hotel .

working at schools seems the best option since you have young children . If you cant afford a full time maid, contact the maid agnecies and ask for a half day maid. Someone to stay until you return home. I'm guessing this should be cheaper !!!There are many parttime jobs out there and with your experience it should be easy for you to find a suitable job. Stay positive and wish for your perfect job , I'm sure you wil find it . Good luck

He was violent, aggressive and jealous beyond control. Whenever he got really angry and would smash things. He smashed my new laptop, my blackberry and 2 of his blackberrys. Whenever he was angry he used to shout at me and because I didnt argue back this would inflame him even more. He used to spit in my face and tell me I was nothing. I had to sit there whilst he kept spitting at me because everytime I tried to leave the house he would stop me, hold my wrists, push me. He put me in hospital when he hit me so hard in the face. He also would bruise me where he would try and grab my wrists or push me or by just being so heavy handed He played mind games with me and he tracked every single conversation i had on BB, email etc. I got to the point where i prayed my phone wouldnt ring incase he got angry. He didnt like any of my friends and told me they were all a bad influence on me and i shouldnt go out with them. If I did go out with them he would always start an argument saying he knew I had been talking to guys or why wasnt I back at the exact time I said I would be home. I couldnt talk about anyone that I worked with because he would start asking a million questions about why i was talking to a guy in the office etc. He used to lie to me all the time, even if it was stupid little lies and when I would catch him out he would try and shout his way out of it. I caught him out so many times, now when I remember back im actually laughing to myself. The police were no help either to be honest. Had to call them a few times and guess what, they wont do anything. Anyway, all this went on for far too long and now I realise that im tired of him taking, taking, taking all the time. I want to be in a relationship where someone takes me out for a nice meal somewhere and appreciates me when I cook and clean and wash and do everything for them. Not someone who takes me to Bobs Diner for a burger and then conveniently goes to the toilet when the bill arrives. As for the rest, decided that I want to be healthy and start afresh so detox is a good start. Clear out all the bad toxins (in more ways than one) edited by Zaabs on 16/05/2011 Lots of hugs Zaabs , I'm really happy for you , you did the right thing by leaving him. Such a horrible man!!!! Good for you though , keep up with all the changes and best of luck to you . you deserve much better than that ....

Waiting, I don't want to sound off-but I think its strange that you guys are married and fighting over who pays for what. You're married-its you're money together. No? My husband and I just put it all in a pot together and spend it together-no questions asked. And I recently left my job and I still dont get any questions on how I spend and on what. Of course big purchases we consult each other as it is our money. That is what I was about to say. Aren't married couples suppoused to share everything???

Maybe he's getting it elsewhere...not meant to incite/worry you unnecesarily but its been known to happen... This is so unfair. Are you trying to help her or to make her feel worse???????? Yeah, I als thought this was a really mean remark, I am sure he is not. Before you all take off on your high horses, ladies, am just offering insight from personal experience...I found out the hard way that when he wasn't interested in me, he was interested in someone/or even many ones else...men are men after all...[b'>unless they're well into their 60s[/b'>.. Sadly not even then, my mum (65) has just found out my stepdad (75) is cheating on her.... That is SAD

Not an expert in this area really . But all I can say is that maybe you are so involved in your role as a mom that you are not acting the way you used to ,or maybe you are not paying enough attention to yourself and your love life !!! It is a very difficult job to run a house and to take care of four kids . Many women start looking like moms after having kids , They stop doing their nails , buying s3xy cloths and also spending alone time with their husband.Good thing is that you are talking to him about it. you can also ask him what has changed in you that he can only see you as a mom now. Talking about it and telling him how you feel might be the cure. GOOD LUCK

This is fabulous advice! Thank you. Just need to find a way of getting myself to calm down before I do a presentation. I get that nervous that I find it hard to actually concentrate on what I'm meant to be doing/ saying and feel all those eyes boring into me :( I work mainly with men - very critical, confident men - so they don't help the situation. I love all these tips. And Zaabs, you're so right - I need to turn this round and try and enjoy myself. khatoon, how I'd love to be able to say I was good at public speaking. Maybe one day! I'm sure you will be great at it one day:)

We've not stayed at The Hilton but liked The Cove very much. The infinity pool is to die for!! Rooms are a tad pokey but we werent there for the rooms, the pool & the jet ski-ing won it for us. edited by Loopy Lotti on 28/04/2011 I would vote for Cove Rotana too.

I am very good at public speaking ,used to MC for events , did acting at school and can give you some great tips :) In school our public speaking would always say that once in front of audience ,imagine that you are in a farm and you are surrounded by cows . How confident would you be ,giving a speech in front of cows??? Believe it or not , I still use this trick sometimes and it works every time. A great way to concur your fear is to know that you know more about your topic than your audience.you are teaching them something that they don't know much about . In order to keep eye contact without feeling nervous, always look at audiences forehead. They can't tell that you are not looking them in the eye and you wont be scared staring at people's forehead ,would you ? Another way to stay relaxed is always ,always , always to hold a pen or pencil or even a pin in your hand . Make sure its not a clicking or a ball pen or you would end up clicking it the whole time . The reason behind this is that the object in your hand will actually absorb a lot of your stress and you can always use the pen to point out to your presentation. Never keep your voice in a steady volume. Speak clearly and slowly ,at the same time play with your tone and your voice to stress on important points and keep your audience interested . Involve your audience in your presentation from the beginning , to break the ices. Starting your presentation with a question is a great way to engage them . Practice in front of a mirror to learn about your facial expressions .The last but not the least, never memorise your material. if you memorise it you tent to forget a small part and loose your confidence to carry on . Always take short notes of important points and write them on small card in the right order so that you will remember all the important points.

I think you should defiantly ask him out. There is no harm in a casual coffee invitation . How often do you meet a nice descent charming guy here in Dubai ????? Do not sit and wait for him to make the first move. Since he has already asked you if you had a partner and that his weekends are boring I'm sure he is sending you some signals here. Break the rules girl; and give it a shot . I know I would if I were in your position .You have nothing to loose. GOOD LUCK

I use epilator for my hands , wax my legs ( myself ) and shave my underarm. having an epilator at home makes it easy if you dont have time to go out and get a wax .I use BRAUN epilator and I'm happy with it . The thing is the more you was the hair becomes thiner and it will be easier to use the epilator.

Long rain coats are also suitable for this time pf the year since it is a little chilled in Iran ( I was there last week ) What size does she wear ? Maybe I she can borrow mine. Let me know .

Hello ladies , Hope all of you are well. I have been very busy with work lately and had no time to come and say hello of follow on the treads . I don't know if you remember my story about the suitor that I had to meet and my struggle with the whole idea of marrying someone I meet through family referral !! Anyways I followed the advice that you ladies gave me and I met the guy last week , when I was in Iran for my brothers wedding. I met him over coffee at a relatives house and we sat and talked for two hours ( I did most of the talking) . he seemed like a very nice person , but we have no common interests . I love traveling and he hats it . I am messy and cant be organized , he is fussy and has obsessive cleaning problem. I love to go wild sometimes and just try new things , he seems like a man who is happy with his daily routine..... The list will go on and on and on .I don't want you to think that I would reject or accept dating a guy only based on his appearance , but this guy had no sense of style or fashion or matching colours. Not to go through details of his height and weight , I can only tell you that there was no chemistry at all. Once the meeting was over , I told my parents what I thought about the guy and they accepted everything that I said and confirmed that it is a very wrong match. Guess I am a drama queen sometimes and I make things look harder and more difficult than they really are. Anyhow , I though I should share this with you and give you an update.
