I had my car posted on Dubizzle for weeks now, with no luck I have also seen ppl re posting their car ads! I wonder what are we doing wrong? Price to high? Make not one that re sells easily? High mileage? An unusual colour? We bought both my cars (that sold in 1 day on dubizzle) keeping re sale in mind, a car thats less then 3 years old, with low mileage and in good condition will sell fast if its one of the makes that do well as re sales. Not really, all normal. i might need to reduce the price, altho other cars that are similar are being listed on the same price...but color, make and mileage all normal i guess

KenzaB I bought my LO a lunchbox from Pottery Barn Kids. It is insulated and I bought some cute shaped ice packs to go inside. Inside fits perfectly a bento box with different compartments. Unfortunately, there is not room for a juice or bottle inside the box but they sell these little bottles that are meant to go in the side of the rucksacks. The cool thing is about the PB lunchboxes is that they have 2 clips so they can "piggy back" on the back of the PB rucksacks. Here is what I bought: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/spencer-bento-box-containers/ and it goes inside this: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/fairfax-lavender-gingham-lunch-bag/?pkey=cshop-all-lunch-bags& I ordered from the states but they sell here. absolutely love them! will get them for my LO's..very useful and love the bento containers! so excited :D

Thank you ladies for your feedback I was recommended by my Gyna and the hospital she works in to see a dental clinic which they deal with and recommend as well, I spoke to the dentist their and he assured me that they use anesthesia types which are safe for pregnant ladies, called Lidocain and epinephrin He said I will be given minimum dosage and then will use something called "biological filling type 6??", which will be changed with permanent filling after delivery I am still weighing my options, I am still very worried and am pushing my dentist appointment. Both the dentists confirmed that that area needs to be treated and that the tooth is exposed now and if i leave this cavity there, it will surely hit a nerve, and then, i would need a root canal :(

Hi Iamaaz, I've just found out I'm pregs and I've recently had a really bad pain where my wisdom tooth is. During my first pregnancy i suffered the same thing and luckily there wasn't much complication and i managed to get three taken out. This last one is in a funny position so we didn't touch it. However this time round the dentist told me that if she removes it i will have to go under local anaesthetic, but she warned me saying although its not 100% proven but it may affect the milk supply. She also mentioned there r some safe periods too (4-6months) Luckily my gums were the cause of the pain so she advices me to apply teething gel on it and its really helped, I'm gna try hold it off until the baby is born. Defo ask ur dr and let us know what they say, my next appointment isn't for a while. thx for the info, I will get back to you once my gyna contacts me..

A dentist I went to a while back said she wouldn't give local anesthesia while I was pregnant. It wasn't urgent although if you are in pain it might be another matter. As another poster said it's a benefits/risks balance. If it's just a standard cavity then you don't normally need anesthesia although it would be pretty painful to have a root canal without numbing. there is a good part of my outer tooth which is broken , and its like the first layer of protection on the tooth and that's why its very sensitive as its close the nerve. That same area has a small cavity now the thing is I can't eat on that side at all! its extremely painful! and I am worried if I don't do it now, the cavity will develop to a root canal or worse, the tooth will all fall down :( edited by lamaaz on 26/08/2013

Hi, When I was 6 months pregnant one of my cavity cap fell. I went to the dentist and she said it was not advisable to fix it, but she cleaned and put a temporary solution on until I had the baby. She said that I could come back if it fell again. Luckily it hold for 5 more months. I carried out the procedure and it was ok, but the cleaning and cover while I was pregnant were done without anesthesia, it was not pleasant, but pretty bearable. Ask if it is a possibility. she actually tried to do it without, but the pain was just unbearable! I asked her to stop.. then she suggested the local anesthesia.. and rescheduled until I check with my Gyna

It all depends on when you want to travel and most importantly, come back! All flights on all airlines are blocked or minimum seats till mid of September as many are back to school. During summer times and Eid, the tickets are crazy expensive (we traveled before Eid, in Ramadan and tickets were at 2200 Aed per person) My DH is traveling in mid of October, so tickets will be around 1500 - 1700 Aed all on emirates, economy tickets Royal Jordanian is cheaper, and fly Dubai is MUCH cheaper I suggest stay away from the major holidays and summer break, try to visit in Oct or early Nov, the weather is perfect, not too crowded and prices in Jordan for anything will be cheaper enjoy your trip :)

question ladies, I never flew BA before, almost each time on emirates. But Managed to book my family to the US on BA, prices were much lower than EK. The surprise is, if they need to pre book our seats, they will have to pay extra! and not a small amount! Do you pay to allocate your seat on BA flights? they will be 5 passengers? or should they take the risk and get seats at check in at the airport? You choose seats 24 hours before at online check in. Ah great, didn't know that! Will tell them to be prepared then

OP, it doesnt matter if the doctor had a bad day or not. She is not supposed to be rude to you. I had the same thing happening to me in American Hospital when I went in and asked for a scan. She actually laughed me off and said it was all in my head and refused to give me a scan, she said there is nothing wrong with me and I already had a baby so all was fine. She treated me like a crazy hypochondriac. I saw a fertility specialist a few weeks later and they found a cyst the size of a grapefruit on my ovary. I would never stay with a doctor that is rude. I can really recommend Dr. Azizunisa in City Hospital. She and her nurse are sweet people and if you have to wait, the nurse will walk out every 10 to 15 minutes to apologise and give you the opportunity to reschedule. That being said, please dont count on not waiting for any prenatal appointment from now on in any hospital. I have sometimes waited from 30 minutes to 2 hours. This is all normal, and it happens in all hospitals. Doctors dont only work when they have patients in the room, they have files and reports to fill in and some cases require research so please bare with your new doctor as I am sure you would like them to do the same for you. I wish you all the best with your pregnancy! x Thank you :) And I hope all went well with you.. I had my lesson, I will never schedule two appointment on the same day !

everyone here would be saying how rude it was of the patient to enter the office un-announced! Sorry but if her door was closed then it was rude of OP to just 'enter her office'. A closed door in a clinic means wait. Who knows, perhaps she was very hungry and was taking the 2 minutes to eat something. and we all know when you are hungry you can get aggressive and irritable without even realizing that you are. Waiting is inevitable, yes okay she may have said it in a rude way but it's true, if you don't like waiting you are free to leave, find another dr who may or may not be up to the same standard of care. I do wonder how many patients ever ask their doctor "how are you today?" or is it all just me me me... I am sure some of them have to deal with horrendous people. Perhaps if you called to speak to her now that both have had the chance to calm down you can resolve it. But 'repulsive'- I was expecting a thread about inappropriate behavior or some such... ! To begin with, I didn't enter her office un-announced! The nurse took me there once the Dr was done with her patient. There is nothing Rude about that. I saw the Dr at 11, its not that she was on a full day shift and never eaten or had a break! that's not the case either why "repulsive"? She threw me out of her office, imagine if i go and see her during late stages of my pregnancy and she does the same for God knows what reason, or during my delivery! I honestly can't predict her behavior and I can't keep on the edge of my seat thinking and rethinking every word i say to her, so that she won't snap at me again

Would he be interested in a cooking themed party? I attended a birthday at the SCAFA, School of Culinary and Finishing Arts Dubai in JLT which the kids loved. they make them participate in cooking their food, starter, main course and dessert, its lots of fun. Pizza express does the same too also, if you would like something more sporty, you can check indoor pay areas in malls and there is switch bowling center which has good packages for kids you can always do the birthday in any of the dubai parks, like zabeel. but its just too hot now. Al tamimi stables also hosts birthday parties, and its indoors and outdoors. Its like a big farm with many animals around. you can also contact active sports who can book you one of the swimming pools they usually train in, and throw you a sport themed birthday party good luck

If it makes you feel better I would have felt the same. Regardless of her day she should have been more professional and less aggressive, especially to an emotional pregnant woman. As a Dr she probably does encounter lots of emergencies and patients that need immediate attention but her staff should have communicated with you better and she should have been more understanding as your time is also valuable. She is a professional and she should have conducted herself in a professional manner. You could sleep on it and give her another chance, it could have been a one off but if you feel you can no longer be comfortable with her caring for you then definitely source another Dr. Hormones are funny things, you might feel less agitated by the whole situation tomorrow x you are absolutely right, but the thing is, each time i remember the situation, the only thing i feel is her arrogance which really puts me off even going to see her.

Lamaaz, you are pregnant, not ill or injured. 45 minutes is not very long in anyone's life, there are women in many parts of the world who have to wait hours if not days to see a doctor. if the Dr was short and or rude with you (which in truth is more accurate than "repulsive") it might just be that she thought you were being spoilt .........and precious. How do you know she had not been been running late due to another patient's serious complication? Did you really expect to be asked if that was OK? Perhaps it's hard to get an appointment with this doctor for a very good reason.........for her expertise, not her manners. Nope, I am not spoilt or precious more than any other patient of hers. My problem is not her seeing another patient, my problem was with "you will be with the Dr in 5 minutes", for 45 minutes, and the way she replied to me. and i have no idea how many 45 minutes do you ladies have, but i have very few of those! I do admit that i should have canceled her appointment when i found out i had a meeting back in the office. but hey, you live and learn.. And dear, I know women personally in these places you are talking about, I know women with sever conditions who don't have the luxury to be treated by a Dr. I was not being unsympathetic to them, I was just venting on a situation i have been through and asking for advise.

Perhaps plan a bit better next time? If you have an appointment and a meeting too close to each other there is a chance that something could go wrong (traffic etc...) Obviously a 45min wait is a bit of a pain but as none of us were there to witness the "incident" we don't know how the exchange went. I would hardly call it "repulsive" behavior. I'm not trying to shoot you down- just offering my opinion... Its not easy getting appointments in her clinic, i had this appointment planned over a week ago. The meeting i had was un planned and i had to attend it. Didn't honestly think my day would go this way! But yeah, the next time i plan my visit would be on my day off

It's annoying but I don't think waiting 45 minutes is bad as doctors often have emergencies BUT you should have been informed of this and given the option to reschedule. It's really frustrating to be waiting and keep getting told 'just 5 minutes' when it's clearly not going to be. Your doctor's attitude wasn't good but if you went in angry and aggressive then perhaps she was replying in kind? She should be used to dealing with hormonal women and be more professional but perhaps she was having a bad day, as we all do some times. Did she have a patient with her when you went in? Anyway, if the trust is broken it's time to find a new doctor. No, there was no patient with her when i walked in. I saw the patient before me as she was leaving, she was all smiles and she didn't look at high risk or anything, which again, is none of my business. And i didn't go in aggressive, i just entered and informed her that i was waiting for 45 minutes outside, and that if i knew it would take this long, i would have rescheduled. edited by lamaaz on 10/06/2013

I honestly don't know where did my replies disappear! If i have been informed that there will be a delay, i wouldn't have waited this long and would have left for my meeting and rescheduled my appointment. A 45 minutes delay is alot of time, especially that i took an hour from work to go see the Dr and had to go back for a very important meeting. My issue was not with the life critical or the high risk patient who was before me, i would have given her my slot if i knew there was one to begin with, but rather of the way the Dr way of response and her tone which was aggressive and arrogant. And i am with u, we r all humans and i don't know what the Dr went through in the morning, but to treat a pregnant woman this way is not OK. She could have explained to me in a normal tone the situation or at least A smile or an apology would have changed the course of events for me. She of all people should know how to treat her pregnant patients. And its not that i went in cursing or shouting, i just entered her clinic and informed her that i was waiting for 45 minutes outside. @lolacat , believe me, i am far from being "spoilt" ! And 45 minutes is a long time if u left the office for a confirmed Dr appointment and had to go back!

He said its mainly stress and that she had high tendency for vomiting. He gave her motilium (sp??) and another medicine, no antibiotics. She is better now as she is finishing school too.. Thank you ladies for your warm words. I am still shocked over her attitude, but I will move on and hope to find a good Gyna. As much as i want to report her, but i just don't have the energy or the stomach for it now. The reason to why i would prefer the American hospital is because its very close to my house, much easier to get to in case of an emergency. DesertRose1958, thank you for asking dear. i am 6 weeks pregnant, I had a scheduled appointment yesterday with my Gyna (who was my Dr for 5 years, during my second pregnancy and up till yesterday). I was scheduled at 10, they did the routine tests and kept me waiting for 45 minutes! During which i asked the nurse many times on when will I get in to see the Dr, and each time she replied in the next 5 minutes! I was already running late for a meeting back in the office, and was getting very upset. I went in at 10:45 and I informed the Dr that i was waiting for 45 minutes outside. To my surprise, she replied saying that if you are not happy, take your things and leave!! and started talking in a very aggressive tone that there are patients with more important cases that she needed to see, and that I have no right to be upset that i waited for 45 min! I told her that at lease the nurses should have informed so that I can reschedule, she replied saying that I am now arguing and that i am wasting her time! and again asked me if I didn't like it, "take your things and leave"! I was shocked and actually very hurt of her behavior! I think i spent the entire morning in tears! I didn't expect this behavior from a Dr I have dealt with for 5 years and knows me. I know I am a bit emotional now, but she, of all ppl, should know how to deal with pregnant women! Looks like doctors when they build their reputation, they get too big for patients! so, i need to see a new Gyna, some one recommended please, preferably in a hospital so that i won't have to run to out side labs for ultrasounds and tests. Does any one know any of the Dr's in the American hospital? any recommendations? TIA

TB, you will have an amazing time in Santorini, I am sure of it :) We stay for 5 nights in Santorini, spend the first two nights in Villa Renos, Fira. A great family run hotel, with a huge terrace over looking the beautiful scenery of the sea. the hotel is in the hear of Fira and close to all teh "shopping" areas and restaurents. Its very clean, spacious, mini jaccuzzi, flat screen TV and home cooked breakfast which is always a plus :) We then checked out and spent the next 3 nights in HEAVEN! we moved to Anastasis Apartments, Imerovigli. I am not sure if you will find any rooms as we booked many, many months in advance. This place has been and still is No. 1 hotel in the entire Santorini island, and for a very good reason! From the minute you step in, you are greeted by the owner and her husband and the entire staff, Rooms are spectacular, their hotel has the best location for the famous Santorini sunset, they have an AMAZING infinity pool which you would want to spend you life there! they have an outdoor Jacuzzi over looking the sea, yet very private (you can book a complementary hour during your stay, during which they will bring you cake and champagne (was juice for us). Each time we cam back to the room after a full day sightseeing, we find little treats, like cake, or ice cream, or some home cooked Greek food! Oh it was fabulous :) We checked out at 3 but our flight was at night back to Athens, so she gave us another room just to relax and refresh before our long flight back home, for free! not so many would have done that! each time you spend time on the pool, you are served sweets, ice cream, fruits, drink, water, cold tools, you name it! we walked from Imerovigli to Fira (not on the main road) but through the mountain and through the mini villages, this is a very recommended activity. Its not a very difficult hiking exercise, and took us like 45 minutes if i remember correctly! but worth every minute! The views, the culture and you will see the actual life of Santorini while hiking. We rented a car, you can opt for these motor cycles, I think its called ATV, but i preferred a car. Its safer as the road between Imerovigli and Oia is steep. We spent a day in Oia, but it honestly needs more, roamed around in teh old city and did the dinner on the harbor, highly recommended, fresh sea food, hope cooked, not very touristy. Santorini has many beaches, the most famous is the Red beach I guess, its not easy to reach (some climbing and sliding is required LOL but its worth it. you can get a map of the island and start moving around by car or Bus Anyways, the food was amazing, very friendly ppl, you will LOVE it! wish you a great time :)

Just milk :( can't get them to eat anything in the morning. They drink a glass of milk at 6:30 and head to school..breakfast at 9 on wards After reading all these comments, i feel bad :( Don't feel bad lamaaz, it can be a nightmare to get them to eat in the morning with the early starts. We've had the most success with doing them breakfast boxes to eat in the car on the way to school. Do you think that would help? I will give it a go. that would be a good idea :)

If it's happening mainly at school, could it be school-stress related? Might be worth checking if anything is going on that's upsetting her? Is she doing exams and feeling the extra pressure at school? Maybe try another GP who's prepared to sit down and spend time talking to her - Dr Susan Norton is very nice. Can't be pleasant for her, I hope you get it sorted. Thanks Rancher, Will contact Dr Suzan today She is an A student, with lots of friends and activities at school , Exams are not that stressful for her, or at least this is what i think, I talk to her all the time, and I mainly know most of the stress causing issues in her life, and nothing is serious,

you can either stop using your car, tell your friends it's being repaired, no gas, battery died and you all share a taxi OR Fill your car seat in the back and in the front with boxes, and refuse to take anyone with you as there is no space :D let them figure out how to get to that location on their own

My Not so DH just blamed me of wasting HIS time while he went to get HIS driving Licences renewed! In his defense, I told him what to do, where to go and how much to take cash, BUT i missed telling him he should take a photo with him! I can still hear him shouting: YOU HAVE MISSED UP MY DAY!! Its like, I take care of 110% of our lives! house, kids, work full time , breakfast, lunch AND dinner! and still managed to tell him where EXACTLY he needs to go and where to park his car and which counter he needs to go to to get his licence renewed, i simply assumed he knew he needed a photo! Now, its my fault and i am sure i will hear about this for the rest of the day, if not the whole week! and I will end up doing it for him :"(
