I really doubt it, but you're probably best to go in and ask directly. Get the name of the person that you talk to - if their answer is in the positive so that you can hold them to it, if there are any issues later. And let us know!

Not sure if this will help you but... i know that I have seen that Dados do a pre and post natal massage (possibly package???) for Mamas. I know Daniella, who does the baby massage course at Yama Yoga and she is terrific. Goodluck with it. Linda

Hey There FYI...I found Miele vacumn cleaners (and ovens/dishwashers etc) ) in the new furniture shop on The Pearl. No idea if they are bagless, or the kind you might be after, but I was very excited (sad- I know!) to find this brand in Qatar...finally!! NO idea what the store is called, sorry, but it is near Carluccios Restaurant.

Thanks for that tip Chardfan. I never knew that a site like this existed! I've been busy 'flicking through' some of the preview pages, very very tempting, but still not quite the same as the smell of print and turning those glossy pages between your fingers. Will come in very handy for my gossip fix too! Surely someone has a stockpile of mags gathering dust over summer????????? Thx LL

No Way!!!! Best Indian in town is The Garden, they used to have 2 locations but now only operate out of the Le Mirage Exec. Residences, near the electrical souk. Awesome, authentic food. We get delivery from them once a fortnight or so. It's always steaming hot and fresh and delicious! 44428840.

Hi There I can recommend Sarah Hanibal, she heads up a team of Doulas in Doha and also does pre natal classes, lactation consultant etc, at least she was back then. I had her as my Doula 18 months ago, at Hamad, and she was fantastic. If you can leave your email details, I will fwd you her number. Thanks Linda

In the past I have seen All in One nappies at Prenatal, that was a while ago, maybe 12 months ago, but couldn't help to ask?? They were called Pea Pods or something like that???? Good luck! I loved using the clothies for my kids, and with no shortage of hot water and sunshine, there is little excuse not to use them here...unless of course you can't find any to purchase!! lol www.babysouk.com might have them for sale online.

Goodmorning Sunshine! Being a friday, it's a bit tricky but you could take yourself to Hamad Women's hospital Emergency and that way you will be seen, it might just a take a while. That's probably your best or possibly only option today. JUst make sure you take your marriage certificate or they will not see you. Actually take all the usual docs, eg HUsbands and your ID passport etc. If you are feeling you can wait Dr Sonia at Al Emadi is good and ealy to get into see, just call and see what her hours are on a Sat, weekdays she starts at 9am. All the very best LD

That's interesting as the Terry Fox Fun Run has been held here, in Doha before. I have been wondering when it was going to be on again as it has been a great day out in the past. If anyone knows any thing about it can you please let us know! LD

Hi Natalie I live in the Bin Omran area, another landmark would be Castle Gardens compound or Sneden(?) University. Walking to the hospital is possible but it does depend on how close you live. We actually overlook the hospital -scenic!- so I used to sneak in the back door when I was pregnant throughout summer, and it was so handy as the parking can be horrendous. So it is an advantage being close by. If you would like me to give you our property manager's details let me know and I can-do. Or we leave Doha towards the end of the year so our place will be available, but may be too big for your needs...our block is made up of different sized apartments. All the best with the move.

We pay 8,000 for a 3 bedroom flat near Hamad Hospital/Sports round about. Old dusty building on the outside, but the flat is quite decent inside. By being an older building the proportions are huge and the building is solid etc etc. So there are places out there, I think it has a lot to do with timing and luck. LD

'Articles' at Royal Plaza have had nice garden furniture in the past, but I haven't been there lately. Worth a look though, it's a great shop for homewares etc too. It's on the same floor as Oishi Japanese restaraunt, the lift boy will point you in the right direction. Goodluck!

I have on good word that a certain Sheik in Management decided to 'invite' 15,000 non ticket holders wihtout telling any of the organising commitee, the venue manager didn't even know about it. They turned the ticket scanners off due to the deluge of people who turned up. Officials were supposed to open the gates for 20 mins between the end of the game and the fire works, as barriers had been put in place to direct people around the fireworks to ensure safety. I guess the message didn't get through to the riot police. Seriously the worst event I have ever been to, they are morons! Enough said.

Have seen this subject before but no luck with searches. I need to rid our apartment of roaches before the weather heats up and they multiply! Can anyone recommend a company in Doha that they think use safe practices. I have two small children at home with me everyday. TIA

Thank you all so much for your knowledge and support, I truly appreciate it...even the ones from Dubai! I took a trip to Mega Wallet, sorry, Mega Mart this afternoon and found a few things to start my 'bake off' with. It all doesn't seem as daunting now and I will definately head to Lulu and check out their stock this week. My poor wee guy was misdiagnosed as having a cows milk allergy, so I was giving him soy milk on his Weetbix for breakfast for the last 3 weeks. We have since had the blood test done and he is allergic to soy, wheat and carrots, all of which he was having on a nearly daily basis! Such a relief to be on the right track now. Thanks again for all of your help. LD

Hi Hoobs Just wanted to thank you for the dentist info, Dr Fady was great, so welcoming and all the staff there made so much fuss over my daughter, we walked out with lolly pops (sugar fee, of course), balloons and a giftbag full of stuff and most importantly, she thought it was fabulous. Thanks so much for the great tip off, very much appreciated. LD :)

Another option for getting around could be hiring a driver for the day/weekend. I use someone who costs around 30-40 Qr's a trip, more for waiting time. If you would like the number/s of a driver that you could possibly book from Dubai to meet you at the airport, let me know and i'll pass it through. You could then arrange the rest of your weekend from there.
