If someone invests such huge sums of money in property then they should be aware of the laws and their obligations to the tenant, I have no sympathy for the landlords in these cases. However, some of the comments from the agents are right on the mark.

Definitely stop with the baby shampoo, it really isnt that gentle. As Sarahlou says, use professional products and if you are able too install a filter. I wash my hair once maybe twice a week and also use dry shampoo as my hair is coloured and I dont want it to dry out even more.

No, I think I will possibly stay at the same hotel, all the staff are either ex Jumeirah or Crowne Plaza from Dubai and they are lovely. Chef even gave me a cooking class last time so I have made some pretty good curries since our return. My DH surfs and where we go there are some great spots for him to completely de-stress, plus I get to go to Galle or sit on the beach and chill out with my nose in a book. And Sri Lanka is so much cheaper than the Maldives and just as pretty, the food is amazing as well. I am organising the trip as a wedding anniversary present for my DH as a surprise but he said the surf isnt too hot at the moment. Only other option is Aragum Bay and there isnt too much over there for me to do.

Back to OP - if this forum is JUST "where can i get a du sim card from" then it is very, very, very boring and the reaming 5 old time users will not bother checking in. Then you will have a bunch of newbies asking and trying to answer inane questions.... the only reason 99% of old time users pop in for the hope of something juicy, or a good ole "i slice my maid's mango" thread...... Noone pops in to give you love and kisses about your nail polish / fake nails - whatever the h£ll shellac are ;) I am really curious about these 'sliced mango' and 'cucumber' threads which so many of the old posters rave about. Seems some of us missed some really great/entertaining threads. have tried to search but with no luck :-( They were the days! Good old Thursday Night Threads "TNT", some days I would never get any work done they were that good! And a few years ago it was incredibly nasty on here, there were some really vicious threads and posters banned was a daily occurence. There were quite a few trolls on here back then though and they just stirred up the pot.

Maybe there needs to be stricter regulations. Its frustrating when looking for properties and you know that they are blatantly lying about their listing. We have been to see a few properties and when we call about one the price magically goes up. Falsely advertising non existent listings or have photos of properties that dont relate to the advert. If sellers want to [b'>really[/b'> sell then make them commit to agent(s) with an agreement, clearly setting out the terms for the sale, like a price range and a range of dates that the agent will have the property.

I have been quoted 30,000 LKR return to Welligama. Now I am feeling ripped off too! Littleone that is ridiculous! They built a new express highway last year from the airport that goes directly to Galle, it only takes about 2 hours on a perfect road. You shouldn't pay more than 15000 LKR for private car with AC, and even less if you negotiate and take a regular van or car. Its absolutely ridiculous kareemab, we were there in March and they have nearly doubled the price of the transfer so I am not particularly happy. They actually opened the road all the way to the airport the day after we left and the tolls to us arent that expensive but our driver even tried to get us to pay for those on the way. Thank goodness my DH had been there before and was really annoyed that he was trying it on. Poor guy actually fell asleep at the wheel and nearly ran off the road, his reply was that its a boring drive!

If you are looking at GM 1-5 be very aware that all the plots across the road have been sold and envitably construction will start shortly and its loud. We are moving for that reason, as have many of our neighbours that are facing the Viceroy site, its 24 hours a day with Friday from 10am to around 9pm the only respite. There are no facilities and when they do open the pool is shared between 3 buildings and the pool is tiny. The shops are expected to open in the next 12 months, but we have heard that before as well, 4 years ago. Despite this the apartments are amazing and I do love it but I cant stand the noise and lack of sleep anymore. And the prices are expensive given the lack of facilities. edited by littleone on 18/08/2014

Its Aussies! Not ozzies, sounds like a [b'>stuffed animal that should be on the muppets[/b'>. Dazza could be from either NZ or Aus, same same but different. Unless the All Blacks are winning. That applies to a few ozzies males that i have worked with ;) Agree, agree. I have worked with a few of those muppets as well both here and home.

At work have stopped travel to Egypt for any of our staff because the risk far out weighs the need for them to be there. We have based our decision on current travel advice from the home countries of all our team and we regularly reassess the warnings. Unless their presence is absolutely necessary then no travel, if they have to go there is a car arranged for all travel to meetings and they are not allowed to go to any of the tourist areas.

When you can watch the interview Izzy I posted a link to the website in my earlier post. Essentially they (the parents) didnt want the boy, they havent followed up on him or his health following the birth and they admitted that if they had known earlier in the pregnancy of his down syndrome they would have terminated the pregnancy. They havent handled the situation well at all and neither has the surrogacy agency. The surrogate appears to have been bullied into keeping Gammy although I think he is better off with her than the parents. The question remains on how does everyone manage the relationship of the siblings, in the end its the children that will suffer. Sad situation all round.

There is an article and TV interview with the parents on the australian 60 minutes, it should be available to view after 3pm UAE time. Here is an extract from the ninemsn website that airs the show: [i'>Silent until now, David Farnell has told 60 Minutes he wishes his daughter Pippah’s brother, Gammy, was with them. Speaking in an exclusive interview to air on the program tonight, Mr Farnell appeared with his wife Wendy, saying Gammy was never abandoned, but that the surrogate refused to let him go. “She said that if we try to take our little boy, she’s going to get the police and she’s going to come and take our little girl… and she’s going to keep both of the babies,” he told 60 Minutes. "It has been very stressing, we miss our little boy.” For more than a week the Thai surrogate has repeatedly painted the Farnells as heartless, saying they ditched Gammy, born with Down syndrome, for his healthier twin. “We said we want both babies to be born and we will think about this,” Mr Farnell said. “We never said 'you can have this baby'.” The plight of baby Gammy has been a disturbing insight into the pitfalls of commercial surrogacy in Thailand. The country wants it banned but Foreign Minister Julie Bishop wants a transition period so Australians can receive children still being carried by Thai surrogates, and hopefully return home with a happier story than that of the Farnells. “I come home from work some days and Wendy has dressed our little girl all in blue, because she wants still to remember the little boy,” Mr Farnell said. In the interview, Mr Farnell is forced to confront his criminal past. He’s been convicted of 22 child *** offences. A judge said he had robbed his victims of their childhood. Australians will be able to judge for themselves, the Farnell’s version of a story that has drawn them into an international scandal. Watch the full interview on 60 Minutes tonight from 9.10pm on the Nine Network. © ninemsn 2014[/i'> Read more at [url=www.9news.com.au/national/2014/08/10/19/09/gammys-biological-parents-say-they-miss-their-little-boy#LjoHkC8h9wqSc0XM.99'>link[/url'>

Sorry Tigerente I never found anyone here so I cant give a recommendation. I have given up on managing the swelling with massage as I didnt find any long term benefit of lymphatic drainage for my fat foot issue. I tried in my home country and had them regularly, in the long run it wasnt worth it financially and I found them uncomfortable. I would rather have a relaxing massage. :-)

Mine started out that way and progressively got worse, I went to Dr Sobeh - he was fantastic and although I still have the swelling in my foot the pressure from the swelling up my leg was annoying, its gone after the surgery. I tried lymphatic drainage as well and whilst it provided relief it didnt get to the cause. I still have no idea why I have the swollen foot but I know how to manage it now. Flat or high shoes makes no difference by the end of the day its all puffy, elevation, pressure stockings and running shoes are my saviour. edited by littleone on 10/08/2014

Tigrente, have you had your veins checked for varicose veins. I also suffer from a swollen foot and before I had surgery on my veins it was actually painful all the way up my calf. Following surgery I dont have the pain but still the swollen foot and its although it unattractive I find if i wear my running shoes when I get home the pressure pushes the fluid back up, then no "fat foot".

There are a few courses available through the airlines and BA offers one but not until October, just do a quick google search or give these guys a call http://flyipilot.ae/fear-of-flying/. Maybe if you can see if there are some one on one or even a hypnosis session that you could do beforehand to give you some tools to manage your fears.

Quite of a few of the building on the Palm havent had their title issued yet, Golden Mile is one although I think that they are issuing them now but slowly and I stand to be corrected on this. We had our dewa connected and provided the tenancy agreement and a copy of the plan of the plot, du was very easy to connect however we did this quite a few years ago. Have you contacted dewa and du to find out the process of what is needed given the title deeds havent been issued?

I live in GM and use the shower without a filter. The water system in GM is actually very good and I dont know anyone in our building who has successfully installed a filter system. After 5 years in the building I have never had an issue with washing my hair in unfiltered water.

No, your visa is able to be suspended whilst your DH's new visa is resolved. You cant travel however during the period your DH's visa is being processed. We have just done this with quite a few of our staff as we transferred from MOL visa to freezone visa. The PRO did everything to place the family visa's on hold whilst the new visa's were processed.

Daza your right, it is about tolerance and I have discussed this topic with my Muslim colleagues. We specifically discussed some of the outfits that have been making their way around the DIFC. They have suggested that it's not appropriate but they tolerate it. And I guess you are correct I do need to check myself with my disapproving looks. But to clarify I'm not upset about it rather a bit miffed as to why others aren't also considerate or aware what is deemed acceptable clothing during Ramadan. I have always been told cover your arms, don't show cleavage and wear skirts to your knees maybe I just seem to have noticed more skin this year than other years.

I don't see why it should matter if it's Ramadan or not. Far too much interest in what others are doing, wearing, and eating. Government isn't bothered, why are you? It does bother me, maybe I am becoming a prude in my old age. I dont know why, other than I think its unnecessary to have your goods out on show during working hours, regardless of whether its Ramadan or not. Some of these outfits would be only suitable in a nightclub not in a professional business environment. I do think that being more aware during ramadan and respectful that it is a holy month and tone down your dress accordingly.

OMG Tatters, this is awful - but move out now, get your life back in order and move on. He does not deserve you at all, if he does this now - where does it end up? I think the biggest question though, is what do you want out of the relationship - if you stay? I want to be respected and have a happy relationship with no worries about trust. Does that exist? Yes it does and never give up looking for it or believing that you deserve it. Just remember, you cant manage the past but you can manage the future.

He is clearly demonstrating how little he values your marriage and how much he respects you by continually cheating. Trust is such an important factor in a relationship and it appears he has done very little to gain your trust back. You need to value yourself and your dignity, you will find joy in your life again.
