lol @ Lolacat, you are on fire tonight :) Hate to break it to some of you ladies...I don't know if things have changed, but almost all of the mortuary cosmetologists I worked with were men. By then, I suppose no one will care! Did they do nails? Sorry Joyce, massive divert, this is more interesting than a bearded ozzie baby deliverer [strike'>who was great[/strike'>. How does one become a mortuary Cosmo thingy? What made them want to choose the non-living?

Do you mean a Marcel Iron? I used one for years, loved it, although I am not ambidextrous and curling my left side was always tricky, and my hand would be in knots afterward. Now, I work my regular curling iron in a similar fashion, although the result is not quite the same. Beeber.........WHAT exactly is your avatar? (Scary blue looking thing on left):confused:

I'm sure it said concert on beach from 5pm the fireworks at 9. ETA phew! have just looked and it is tomorrow. So happy as I just bought a hat and flag. Great news Cilla.

My DS was delivered by a male midwife! A big Australian guy with a beard. He was amazing! I’m not quite sure I see the correlation between the[[strike'>[u'>u'> beard[/u'>[/u'>[/strike'> a qualified medical professional and a manicurist working on two different continents. Thanks for all the comments so far. It is a really difficult decision for us.... We have some time to plan ahead. We will either move in Year 6 or will stay here until school finishes. I wouldn't move her in middle of secondary. Keeping an open mind for now..... :) Of course you can move her in the middle of secondary! Most expat kids leave around year 9 to boarding (if they are going). Goodness schools change like the wind, so do jobs, anything can change. What was an ok school may nose dive.

No way. Never. A guy touching my feet? Ugh. Manicure is for the hands. He will not touch your feet. Feet or hands ... No way! Facial or massage ... Never! Is it even legal? Perhaps you could find a man in the big tourist hotels but in local salons (there are male hair stylists, I know). edited by mrsb. on 01/12/2014 Where do you stand on male dentists? Specifically? To the OP, take down the number of AAA and always carry a couple of hundred DHS in your purse for emergencies like this. A quick call and they will come out and change your tyre no problemo.

I have blown a tyre here on 3 occasions, someone has always stopped and changed it for me :-) I had a wonderful Emirati guy stop His Kandoora was covered in grease, I offered to pay the dry cleaning bill and he said not to worry as he had a wardrobe full of them at home. Did he have carpets in the back of his van? lol

Use goggle maps, there is a directions box you can put to and from in and a nice clear written and printed out version can be produced for you, very easy and reliable.

Funnily enough, the workers with the lowest pay and those who send the biggest chunk of money home, end up with a house back home where they can retire to That's not a remotely valid comparison with the expectations of the Western expats that Dubai depends on. Do I need to explain why? "@ Marroshy; More to the point i actually wonder how many lowest paid workers actually manage to achieve that now, costs have risen for everyone from all social economic stratas.

Well the first thing you need to do is look at the train routes and decide which area of London you will be commuting into. This will help decide where to live, Cobham is great but if you are willing to drive to a station you can go further out towards the Downs area.

Our doctor said there has been an outbreak in Pakistan,Nigeria and Afganistan and since so many of those nationalities come to Dubai its okay to give top up. He replied to my email. I did a bit of research and in those countries where the outbreaks came it was in very poor regions,in small towns with poor sanitation. I dont think those type of people will be visiting Dubai soon and I am definitely not going there! I'm amazed your doctor did not know about the regional issue, there have been concerns all over the medical media about Syria all last year.

Is the polio one the drop on a sugar cube one? Or is it an injection? It is the oral one, but no longer on sugar as deemed unhealthy! SO a few drops in the mouth only, quick simple and effective.

Polio outbreaks this year Nigeria 6 Afghanistan 20 Pakistan 246 All in small towns and in remote regions. I think its safe to say we are not in immediate danger. Appletiser, it is not just these countries who have seen a problem with Polio, Syria, Iraq both have had cases of Polio, Syria was polio free and now has cases. Conflict and mass migration brings problems. Certain factions will not allow vaccination programs to continue that were in place, is another complication. There has been a mass effort across the region to address this, Ongoing activities include: • In Syria: 2.9 million children targeted for immunization in November • In Iraq: 5.8 million children vaccinated in October • In Lebanon: 550,000 children to be immunized in November • In Jordan: 1.1 million targeted to be vaccinated in November • In Egypt: 15 million children targeted for immunization in November • In Turkey: 300,000 children were targeted to be vaccinated in October Countries in the Middle East are very wisely stepping up their programs to make sure every child gets vaccinated against a preventable disease. WHO has advised countries to act and they are. The potential is actually very serious, hence why mass vaccination programs are being implemented across the region. It is the duty of parents and residents to support the advice of their doctors and the UAE vaccination program. Normally prepaid cards have to be delivered to a US address. Here are a few ways around the problem. Sign up with a company like Borderlinx or MyUS.com and use their personal shopper service, it works very easily, they buy the product and ship it straight to your door for of course a fee, compare fees from various mail forwarders who have a personnal shopper service. Also look at Borderfree, they use many big name shops and ship directly here. Also try googling the items you want and see if they appear on EBAY where you can easily purchase using US add and paypal. ALso see if another company stocks the products you require.

I would disagree - i leave home at about 6.30 am and ALL (without fail) of the school busses, which i encounter, are driven very badly and irresponsbily. One pulled out infront of me on SZR this am.... when i peeped he then put his indicators on.... one near my house, stops on a blind conour rather than pulling into the parking bay. As i said earlier - look who is driving them. I wouldn't turst them to drive one of my cats around - let alone a child. The standard appears pretty poor from what i witness daily. Half of them think they are formula one drivers! The drop off and pick up points for some schools are just dangerous and I can not understand why they don't find a safe pick up /drop off point. The best drivers I have seen are from DESC where they have their own buses.

How on earth did you pay this much, let alone for this school? I've never heard anything so ludicrous in my life. Have you checked to see if you can get a refund or even if you can sell it? It probably has a terms and conditions which make it non-transferable. Sorry to say that i personally think you will have no chance f selling it, so best to get some form of refund and be done with it. *mind boggling* :thinking:

Ask for a copy of the terms and conditions, the point is you gave verbal notice and you were not infomred at the time to follow it up in writing. And then schools wonder why they get negative reviews and poor reputations?

Please ladies, take a moment to complain somewhere - this ad really does upset innocent children. Even a message on one of the radio stations Facebook pages or a call to the office itself. When I spoke to them they said I was the only one to have complained after a month on air. I find that hard to believe, but then again, I know many of us wonder if it's worth it or just don't get around to it. The ad is a disgrace and and should be taken off the air Agree, i hope someone sends this thread to the company and they review their marketing.

It's a high profile British curriculum school. I have to see them about it tomorrow and I m hoping to resolve it before I take it further, has anyone heard of this happening ? It's not like we are changing schools, we are leaving the country and we are talking thousands of dhs. Well that narrows it down to one.........good luck there. If it is the same then yes i know they did the same to a friend last year and stated they only ever return the deposits if moving out of country..............

I'm so glad the general feeling is one of horror at this terrible ad. It really is poor taste and I now turn the radio off in the car as soon as it comes on if i have kids in the car. If anything it has the reverse effect on me and never would i use a company who stoop so low. It's quite wicked, and I don't say that in a funny way.
