Mum2girls Thank you for your kind reply . Unfortunately I flew back to the Uk and had Gamma Ray treatment or radiotherapy and now my choice is only surgery but with 3 children on my own it is very daunting .I really wanted to know if anyone knew or has had surgery for tumour removal and how long recovery would be etc. Do you have any family or links to family in the UK? Because now is the time you need to find them and speak honestly to them. If you are eligible without question you need to have your treatment in the UK. You need to discuss it with your surgeon and put in place contingency plans for your children. This is a terrible thing to face alone but putting off treatment is not helping. You need to get the right advice, right help and deal with this thing so you can but it to bed. There may well be a support network in the UK that can help look after your children while you are recuperating, speak to your hospital or social services about such care.

Best wishes to you madaboutpink. I have no experience with brain tumour but recently heard that cannabis oil can cure such tumour with no need for surgery or chemo. Also heard about "defeat cancer now" book that shows how cancer can be reversed naturally by following some diets. Pls ignore my reply if not suitable to you, i dont mean to undermine the procedures that been carried out for you. If you decide on surgery, i will be happy to help you as much as i can. I am a mother of two girls but have a nanny. All the best to you brave mum xxx What a peculiar post and just who suggests defeating cancer with a bit of pot?

OP as you are obviously bothered by this behaviour rather than posting it on here maybe you should confront your other half and be honest about how you feel. Because if you don't then any marriage will be doomed as it will not be based on honesty of feelings. As for spitting the water in your face, urm that's just vile and unacceptable.

A note of caution, anyone is liable to be arrested if they are drunk in public. Also, if a taxi driver is offended by your behaviour when you are drunk, he can drive you straight to a police station. I know the police turn a blind eye most of the time, but there are occasions when they don't, as many have discovered. Urm never mind posting on a public forum that they are not married and living together! I really wonder sometimes where people think they are living.

There is balance and then there is unfeasible. Why move into a compound where there are kids and families if you want to sleep during the hours when 99.9% of families are active? Go rent a private villa somewhere else. I have never heard of any community compound restricting use of a communal area during day time hours, it's unrealistic and beyond dotty. I suggest you have a sit down meeting with your LL and discuss the point further in a polite and logical fashion or move. There is no hypocrisy here AA, just common sense. edited by Lolacat on 05/04/2014

micdoc, do these sound like your symptoms [url=http://www.anxietycentre.com/anxiety-symptoms/dizziness.shtml'>link[/url'> Anxiety is very common in peri-menopause. What about these lot. [url=http://www.gncdubai.com/clinic/clinic-info/'>link[/url'> Sorry I can't give them a recommendation, but someone on here mentioned that she'd used them for counselling. edited by Alismum on 02/04/2014 With due respect i don't think there is a symptom on that site that does not link to anxiety , it's not really a medical site.

It was only a very short time ago that many medical illnesses that could not be explained were diagnosed as mental illness. Sometimes the easy option is to just refer to a shrink rather than investigate further. Anxiety and panic attacks can cover nearly any symptom you could think of. I really would recommend you book in to see dr Saima , she has diagnosed so many illnesses others have missed .

Wow reading your post it seems to me you are doing a great job but I wonder if you have been telling yourself that.!!I know how you feel and its often very hard. For myself I have found meditation a great tool to quiet the mind especially if it involves self compassion. You can download the apps and practise daily.I enjoy taking brisk walks and noticing all the wonderful sights around as I walk.I also found it helpful to share how I felt with my husband.Be kind to yourself. What?

Do you think you are having panic attacks? Have you considered Vertigo or Ménière’s disease? http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Menieres-disease/Pages/Introduction.aspx Why not book in to see a really good British GP? These are my top GPS's Carol Smiley is about to start at Healthbay, as well as one of the best GP's I have ever known Dr. Saima Sheikh in Motor city. http://poly.medicentres.ae/doctors.html

I always travel with children's antibiotics, some steroid cream, antihistamine cream and tablets and some pain killers for children and adults, electrolytes, basic plasters, antibiotic cream. Obviously being sure what dose to use and being familiar with the product, if unsure then don't but that is what i always carry! Please make sure your medical insurance covers you and that your kids stay away from any dogs or cats (however cute!) as Rabies is in SL. It's not a problem but something you should just bear in mind if you see stray dogs around.

I think GEMS Wellington in Dubai Silicon is a better option because it is new and has a huge campus. Also the staff rating in Gems Wellington Dubai Silicon is better than GEMS Royal in Mirdiff. Goodluck with your decision :) Huge is not always a benefit.

If you google you will see Dubai police ask the public to report beggars as so many scams are going on and even some gangs who bring over beggars to make thousands! This was a number printed from a 2013 newspaper article, not sure if still the number. Residents are urged to report beggars on the 800243 hotline.

I'm wondering the nationalities here, as it does make a difference. The obvious is what a silly girl. The second is she needs to leave the country, change all her numbers and rid this man out of her life. If she can not leave the country she has a big problem. If she takes it to the police, which is what she should do then he must know he will also face charges, she needs to talk to her parents.

Erin Brokovich That case involved criminal acts involving the illegal dumping of known toxic chemicals. Quite shameful but not a case of an "unknown unknown". There are numerous examples over the years where the populous has been informed all is well, yet sadly this has not always been the whole truth. ie atomic testing, thalidomide etc. Where does the responsibility lie is a whole debate but in this case it lies with the OP who is obviously concerned enough to ask the question. The OP has received feedback.

Thanks ladies for all your input. My self diagnosis was correct and I managed to find a great doctor. Having done a full course Iof acupuncture treatment coupled with Chinese herbs my back is now almost 100 per cent. I am wondering though where to get some more herbs in Dubai as t have run out and Tong Ren Tang doesn't have them in stock and they said they won't have them for another 2 months! Any ideas? Of course it's correct. If you go to a doctor and give him all the symptoms of the bubonic plague, he is going to tell you that's what it is. Honestly, the people that fall for this mumbo jumbo. Just hope it's not something serious while you waste your time on your "kidney energy." edited by dolleymadison on 31/03/2014 thumbs up

If you book two seats in the same name be aware that the system may cancel them out hence why you have to go physically to reservations agent.

You have to go direct to reservations and see what their policy is, it differs between airlines. Also computer systems will not allow two seats in the same name. Some airlines are requesting obese passengers to book two seats (preferably next to each other!) lol Can you not look at another flight or go to first?

So while you don't use wifi (pat on you back) at home, presumably you keep you cell phone on a 20 foot pole at the farthest end on you garden, correct! There are many things harmful to children, War and poverty come to mind first. There's also superstition and ignorance. Good night ladies, time for me and my dogs to go out and soak some RF waves. There is also the ostrich syndrome.

Yep, detached house is the way to go. Lolacat, def agree with you but everyone has to make their own decisions. I personally just wouldn't want to risk it until scientists can 100% agree that it is safe. I think kids more susceptible than adults and also believe that it may take a decade or two for any health problems to show up. Julia roberts anyone? Nope we would not take the risk given the choice regardless.

You need to go to immigration and ask them what are the possibilities and how you can circumnavigate. Many school support staff on low salaries have their children here with them. May be she will need a new job title?

When I said is it cultural, I simply meant that in some cultures, winning and particularly winning at particular sports means more than to others. But I personally think AmyA is closest to the answer. Well it depends on the sport really? Also what do you mean by cheating? Losing teams often jump on the *they cheated* bandwagon. Winning at sport is a whole different topic to cheating.

Fatimasaq I'm so sorry to hear your son is going through this, can you organise some pain relief for him? All i can find is a cancer charity, it may be worth contacting them and asking if they have any specialist nurses and counselors you can speak with who may be able to help with your needs. here is the link http://www.cancer.ae/ http://www.makeawish.ae/ Maybe a British nurse who is living here (licensed) may see your post and offer some help if they are experienced in the sort of support you need. Wishing you all strength during this time. xx edited by Lolacat on 27/03/2014 edited by Lolacat on 27/03/2014

Really I think this is an over reaction. What do you think happens in the factory where they are made for goodness sake? Maybe peoples paranoia is why so many seem to wear underwear that simply does not fit? As someone mentioned there is a plastic piece in them and then there is the ability to wash them. Exactly which virus can be transmitted via a pair of underwear? I'd be more concerned about little things that go nibbling in the night! lol
