LG are great at responding and fixing their products, never had any problems with them, give them a call and see what the problem is. Why anyone would put bleach in a dishwasher is beyond me. The bleach will destroy the rubber seals and there is just no need to do this. There are special dishwasher cleaner packs that can be purchased should your really feel the need to give your dishwasher a clean service.

most ballet schools here will have a uniform so before you rush out and buy anything check with the dance school, some even specify brand, colour, type. Certainly if your child is to do exams there are strict requirements. Re shoes, don't cheap skate a young dancer needs a full sole and use a brand like Bloch. Your dance school can advise where to purchase.

Let a 3 year old into a mens toilet unsupervised anywhere in the world, No way, no way!!!!! Not on your nellie. Up to about 9 or 10 and then i would stand outside the mens with strict instructions to scream and run if approached.

With due respect this is not new news and has been well advertised, like anything leaving it to the last minute is shortsighted. Why wait till the last minute? I did mine months ago, popped into an Etisalat in a mall during a quiet time and it took a couple of mins. Don't remember paying anything! The lesson is very simple don't leave things to the last minute if you don't want delays.

Slight tangent but parents need to look outside the box at other countries education systems and question what is happening in their own schools. Google "Finland's education system" and look at how it is implemented and why it is just so successful. Around the world there are far more positive educational systems that work and the children are not taught at ridiculously young ages, are not stressed or overloaded with homework. Homework should be just that, work that has been covered in class not work to be taught by a parent.

Go back to who you rehomed them from and tell them it's not working. Use a water spray when the cat is showing aggressive behaviour and make sure they are getting enough exercise and attention.

Try using skyscanner as a base line for flight prices, EK seem to be very full at peak times and price reflects this. There are other airlines.

Vaccinations here are slightly different from Uk as in there are a few more to add in. The UK schedule is fine but i would and have added in Hep A, Hep B, Meningitis (different here to UK, better) and Typhoid. Chicken pox, up to you. Any good GP practice here will advise which and when.

Has anybody been to the World Cup via the general admission? Just wondered what it was like and if it is suited for kids? We have visitors over so may take them down early on for a hour or two. Ta Early on perhaps however it turns into a drunk fest as the day goes on Personally i wouldnt go there if you paid me Drunk fest? hardly.

No comparison at all. JESS is highly sought after with very long waiting lists. Fees in primary are 30-38K Winchester has much bigger classes. Fees in primary are 9-12.5K Does highly sort after with long waiting lists represent the standard of education provided in a school in Dubai? Can that really be used as a comparison? Does a bigger class mean the education provided is not as good as a school with smaller classes?

This will go down like a ton of bricks but it sounds as if you need to get your house and your kids in order. Your youngest is playing with both of you and you are allowing it. The morning run is just that, a four year old can get herself dressed if she is smart enough to argue the point over a sustained length of time (as posted). Your 10 year old is sassy because she is allowed to be so. Get routines into place and stick with them. You undermine your DH and then wonder why he is hacked off at you about it? He couldn't undermine you if you had a routine in place and maybe he has a point? Have you actually listened to what he was saying? Could he have a point? As for arguing in front of the kids once in a while, oh well they will live it's not that unhealthy for them to see every so often. But the fact you argue suggests that your kids will also learn this "learnt behaviour", so stop and think why you argue. Surely you both want the same goals for your kids re behaviour? You don't need to be on the exact same page but being close with your DH over your parenting will help. Undo bra strap for back or place towel across front to preserve modesty, knickers most def stay well and truely on and big ones at that, no one want to see a cheese wire.

This really is the core now more than ever. I sound like an old lady but the world is so much different than when i was younger. Social media is also a culprit. My children are too young so i dont have personal experience but I have seen some of my friend's teens completely shattered over "facebook bullying" resulting in extremly low self-esteem. Without that confidance all others hopes dont stand a chance But bullying has always been there in history, social media aside. So this is a parental role, shaping your child to have self confidence and communication skills. No child has ever made it to adulthood without experienceing at some time in their life some form of bullying. I do not think it's a new issue just one that has more of a focus that possibly in turn is exacerbating the issue.

How will you teach your kids to behave in public places if you always feel the need of carrying/pampering the kid each time he cries? Mind as well, you stay at home and go out only when he turns 4 or 5 years old! But why should other shoppers get a headache? Why would you get an headache? You have many other shops and can just walked out without judging "mothers" so rather than a mother dealing with HER screaming child - other shoppers need to be inconvenienced - you don't think that's selfish? Or just learn some tolerance and empathy for others? umm - so we have to be empathetic to a mother ignoring a screaming child.... what about the mother being empathetic to those who do not wish to hear screaming children...... i think all people are empathetic when the issue is being dealt with..... but leaving child to scream is not dealing with it. Well why not ask the mother why she is doing that, you may find valid reason, those with children would probably not need explanation but it may be helpful for those who have never had children,it really makes such a difference. It seems (according to this forum) there are many issues posters find annoying and maybe it's the way it comes accross in the written word, but the lack of tolerance for others shines quite clearly at times. Be that mosque noise, children crying, children asking to play..................Unless one wishes to live as a hermit in solitude on some far flung island then maybe some should try harder to understand others and become more accepting and tolerent of differences?

It is disgusting that this is not Govt funded, and I told the Municipality Vet, and after our experience of helping a cat, getting her vaccinated and microchipped then this.......grrrr..... Anyway, I feel sorry for this cat, but it is what it is. Why should it be goverment funded? You made a choice when you took the cat on you therefore have to take responsibility for it's costs as every responsible owner does. As soon as you feed a stray it is no longer a stray, its yours. I note you mention cost a bit, spend the money and make sure you send your cat to a reputable vet otherwise you may well find the costs far greater or a complete waste.

My former crossfit instructor posted this on his facebook today and I thought I'd share: "Your kids will become you. Be who you want them to be" so true! How is that true? That's one of those ridiculous warm and fluffy sayings that means sqwat. You give your children oppourtunities and life skills and then cross every finger and hope they make it in the world with some form of happiness. And health and happiness is priority! How to use a credit card is hardly a priority, learning value and respect for money and their surrounding yes, credit card......no.

Of course, substitute teacher. Could you imagine 30 eight year olds running amok? Hahaha It's quite normal in many parts of the world and even here to have class sizes of over 30 and still learn and behave better than many smaller classes. Children run amok when allowed to.

Hello I am a UK registered nurse with 5 years critical care experience, I have recently been offered a senior post at American hospital? Has anyone worked there or anyone working there at present? I am a bit cautious of these clauses in the contract re. Competition clause and tying you in for 2 years at least, I also was not really aware the hospitals worked 48hrs! Any advice would or shared experience would be appreciated. This thread is about NURSES not about most people working in Dubai ! Maybe worth looking and sending your CV to City hospital as well. I certainly would take a good look around and see what's on offer. Also negotiate, if they want you enough they will. When you work in Dubai it's quite usual to have long hours and contracts that tie you in.
