I'm having an op on Wednesday and I'm hoping to use the downtime to catch up on season 8 of Grey's Anatomy. Is it available on DVD here yet? If you want to email me on sarahdvs47atgmaildotcom i can tell you how to download them all and it is simple!

I would be worried if others were consuming alcohol and something happened that say warranted the police being called The daughter could be caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. We all hear of horror stories here and whilst she could be an inoccent bystander you just never know supervised or unsupervised My friend was stood in a taxi queue recently and had had 1 glass of wine, someone pushed in and she said politely excuse me there is a queue. The other person starting yelling at her and a police car parked close by pulled up and asked what was happening. My friend said the OP pushed in and the police asked if they had been drinking? she said i had one glass of wine and the other person said no. My friend was arrested. She hadn't done anything wrong.

Just posted this on the AD forum but it looks like nobody uses it so I thought that other people living in Dubai with AD registered cars may be able to help! Does anyone know the opening hours of the place you can get your car registered on Sheikh Zayed Road? Can't remember the name of it. We live in Dubai but have an AD registered car so it is good to go there as means we don't have to go all the way to AD. We went last year in the evening but that we didn't need to get the car tested - this year we will need to so I need to know whether it is open in the evenings for testing and whether you can just drop in or if you have to make an appointment. I found the phone number online but no answer! Thanks in advance :) They open early in the morning until 7 or 8 i think and they are open on a Saturday Can you register a car in Dubai if you have a AD registered car? also with testing you join a queue or pay for VIP I ask the above as my partner had a AUD driving licence and had to register the car there ( unless he had a Dubai tenancy contract) Try the below link as it says 8am to 10pm http://www.rta.ae/wpsv5/wps/portal/Branches?SwitchToLatestLocale=true

Ahhh! To be young and free again.... I'm not young (the 63 in suze63 is a bit of a giveaway!!!), nor is DH! We're looking foreward to a great weekend...laughter Factory tonight and Sandance tomorrow (must confess thought that other than Stereophonics I don't actually have a clue who the other people are!). Yay...if Carlsberg made weekend! You will know Newton Faulkner when he starts singing, see you there!

Jealous! The closest I'll be getting to Sandance this weekend is pulling a few Gangham Style moves in my children's sand box. Have fun! Haha that made me laugh. We were all doing it at a friends BBQ last week so funny

Do u know the big NBD bank on the corner behind MoE? If you continue up that street away from MoE you will come to Barsha Mall. Glad to hear there is a Daiso there. They are brilliant for bits n pieces. I do know there yes, thank you so much. I used to work near Lamcy and miss Daiso! i can spend hours in there! There's also one in Ibn Battuta and the Oasis Centre, in case you didn't already know. I knew those than you to all :-)

I once (late at night) went to a shisha bar in the Madinat, where we sat outside with lovely views and alcoholic beverages were also served. I can't remember exactly where it was, except it was above the waterside and I don't know if it was the Koubba bar I mentioned below. Does anyone else know? I remember that one too, did it have big cushions and a comfy seating area? Don't remember big cushions, but there were lots of sofas and armchairs and low tables.. I do remember it but cannot for the life of me remember the name Definitely sounds like Koubba, as it definitely has shisha, alcohol, and a big comfy area under a large cabana in the middle of the terrace. The terrace overlooks the canals, with Pier Chic directly ahead and the Burj Al Arab to the right. It's a great spot for watching the sunset. Thats it! thank you

on the flip side, though, it is kind of violating to think someone was creeping around in your garage! Driveway is one thing. They probably just drove in and abandoned it..

Ha! Classic. I hope they left the keys, I'd love if someone dumped a cart from the local golf club in my garage and I could take it for a spin whilst returning it. I thought the same thing :) Me too, this made me giggle Ok I'm not proud to admit this but I once had a few too many down at Pai Thai in the Madinat one night - on the walk through the grounds me and my friend came across an abandoned golf buggy and had a fabulous time weaving around all the little paths until security sandwiched us in (coming from front and behind) and gave us a telling off. Sorry but it was hilarious and I would think it highly amusing to find a golf buggy in my driveway! hehehe That is something i would do too hehe

So I need to find a new girl for my wax and pedicures as my usual one isn't available anymore. Since I live in the Executive towers area, can anyone please recommend a girl from T&T's? tia. Can you book a specific girl in T&T? just curious as i get a diff one every time I'm not sure, I've never gone to T&T before but every other salon I've been to gives you the choice to pick whoever you like :) Tips and Toes has lots of staff so maybe you can, however i have been going there for years and never had the same girl twice. The girls that do pedicures dont usually do waxing. They are all trained to the same standard

My housemaid just turned up and I live in the greens. Apparently there's a fire in Tecom and about 5 levels in one section of the building are up in flames and possibly rising. Not sure of which building, hope others in the area will know more and none are injured. I have just driven out of the Greens and cannot see anything at all?

I think it's pretty gross for anyone (other than maybe an p*rn movie actor) to have a graphic kissing photo on facebook, yuck. Teenagers you can blame stupidity of youth but a grown woman? No. Can't imagine it will get her much respect from her students either. Or maybe I'm just a prude. Not just gross but childish. I can understand if you were a teenager however some people post their life history on there which is even sadder

Hello Ladies, I am downloading some music to listen to when I am at the gym (new resolution: have to lose weight before Xmas!!!) but I am really lacking some inspiration. I need something "upbeat". So far I have: Beyonce (crazy), Muse, Usher, the Ting Thing (that's not my name), the Wanted (Glad u came), Craig David and Franz Ferdinant. I am really stuck for ideas. I would be very helpful if you could tell me What songs would you listen to when at the gym (Threadmill) ? Thanks!! There is a CD called the workout mix they are very good!

We are thinking of using Howra to hire a nanny for our house (looking after two babies and cleaning). Has anyone used them or heard of people using them? Is the company good and are the maids / nannies reliable and competent? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks. Do they do nannies? I heard they were maids only ( i may be wrong)

if given the choice... would you go for freezone work permit or dubai mainland work permit? and whats the difference please? Freezone you can change jobs without any issues. No bans, however there arent any issues if you earn a certain salary. I would say look at the company/role rather than where it is located ( I.E FZ or non FZ)

Typical. Just purchased a flight from Emirates yesterday. Xmas isnt on there though :-( Again, typical. haha. I am selfishly relieved to see that my flights also did not get the sale price (late Jan flights). The flight i wanted for Xmas was sold out and overbooked by September! They need to put another plane on the route :-) Oh no, how awful! I got my Xmas flight about a month and a half ago, reasonable price, but not so pleased about the airline. Oh well. I have used KLM this time but only paid 4,000 so please with that as EK to UK was 4900 then would of needed a connecting flight so more cost!
