Thanks ladies. Just realised, I had a stool test done for my LO 2 weeks ago and it was cleared. I am taking the stool report and popping in to see another paediatrician to get a second opinion. My original paed refers to all the rashes/ red skin/ itchiness as eczema..... time to get a second opinion. Edited to add - LO has really been scratching his poop area (an**)..... and he started on nursery 2 months ago. We also went to India 3 months ago, so I was pretty sure it is worms he's got. edited by nams_new on 04/03/2013 Excellent website and medication on her suitable for little ones http://pripsen.com/resources/downloads/Pripsen%20Leaflet%20A4.pdf

Yes, so they take the hair on the very back because that hair is finer and closer in texture to your eyelashes. They will then implant the follicles to your eyelashes. The catch is that you have to cut them routinely or else they will get too long because they will grow like normal head hair follicles. She had it done in the US.Not sure which doctor she used. As for ladies whose hair color doesn't match, then tinting? The things ladies do for beauty! still very interested. No more eyelash extensions, falsies, etc... edited by Laura_C on 27/02/2013 I can out my falsies on in seconds it says it cost 3500GBP so imagine what they charge here

I wouldn't use Groupon either, I'm having it done with Dr Allen Rezai, I had my nose done with him 2 years ago in London. few days ago I found out he's opened a clinic in Dubai healthcare city, I bet he'll be surprized to see one of his previous patients here! I'd highly reccommend him. I've read good reviews about him on various forums and also read patient fedbacks on his website, booked to see him for breast augmentation and correction of my tubular breasts. He seems to be an experinced breast surgeon, he does breast reconstruction surgery and I read about tubular correction on his website. when are you seeing him for your Botox? I saw a promotion on his website for Botox and fillres, I think! not sure if it's still valid though, but good to check it out before you see him. my appointment's on Thursday, Cannot wait! I had it done this morning! I wasn't aware of any promotion before I went, but Dr Rezai told me they're having a weekly promotion which gives 30% discount on my Botox. I was going to pay the full price whatever it was just to have it done with him, but I'm happy i got to save some cash and still have it done! He recognised me straight away, apparently few of his UK patients are now working in Dubai and they've all been to see him, so I wasn't the first one. Hope it all goes well with your consultation, He is one of the best surgeons, meticulous, professional and honest. I'm so happy he's opened a clinic here, will definitely become a regular! Good luck! May i ask how much it costs with the discount as my friend is looking for a place to go Thanks sure, it was 1800 and I paid 1260 after the discount. Thanks :-)

I've heard of this new treatment where you can implant hair from your natural head hair that grows permanently onto your eyelids so that your eyelashes will be permanently longer. Supposedly it only takes an hour to do. Can't say I have not been intrigued even though the idea of plastic surgery is a bit scary. I know a girl from back home who had it done and her eyelashes are so beautiful, thick, and long now. does any one have any experience with this? doctors in dubai? price? Ooh this is interesting. I have never heard of it. If you find out can you let me know

From Choithram's at your left, Go straight until you see the big Spinney's on your right, make a right immediately pass the Spinney's, continue till the end of the road, you will be at a roundabout with a water fountain. Turn right at the roundabout, Montgomerie is straight ahead. Thank you so much

morning Is anyone on here an estate agent? If so would you kindly pass on your details? I am re-locating soon and need to find somewhere to live :) Thanks in advance It is always best to look for somewhere when you are here as properties can move fast Whenever i have moved within Dubai i have not started looking until 4-6 weeks before i am due to leave my current property To obtain a property you will need to pay with cheques ( UAE bank ones) show your UAE residence visa and passport. You will also have to pay a finders fee if you use an agent ( Wherever possible go straight to the LL) Check the Real Estate Agent is rera registered the apartment or villa is registered. You also have to pay the LL a deposit and most people pay in 1/2 or 4 cheques for their property

I am just wondering what is common practice... Do you pay for the follow-up visit (2 weeks after injections) if touch up is needed? I went to have Botox done for the first time a week ago, and lines are still showing quite a bit, so suspect the dr will touch it up.... They should give you a touch up for free after 2 weeks and i always go back as its free haha Although if they do it correctly you should not need to go back

Jeez! If they are that worried about it maybe they could wrap a stash of gifts for their other children to be pulled out if the new baby gets a large gift. Or explain to their older children that they can't always be the center of attention.....I think it's pretty presumptuous to tell people how they need to bring/present a gift. If someone is kind enough to buy you a gift (especially for your fourth!) then is it really too hard to accept it graciously without conditions attached? Speaking of fb etiquette, I had a baby last week and wanted to wait at while, enjoying my baby (and coming down off all the drugs!) before logging in to fb and announcing it to the world. I ended up having to log in and do a quick post after my brother immediately announced it to the world, tagging both myself and my husband. I love my brother dearly and wasn't cross but would have preferred to announce it in my own time! There was an article in the newspaper about a lady updating her status when her waters broke to her contractions to giving birth!

Hello. I am new to Dubai. I need a driver to take my son (no accompanying nanny - he's 15) to school in the morning and bring him back in the afternoons. The school is ASD in Al Barsha. Currently I'm in Tecom but hope to move to Victory Heights in a couple of months. I tried assist.ae but they are expensive for this distance. Would appreciate if someone could suggest some options. I do not think it is an easy thing to do All the private drivers i am aware of are sponsored by a company or a private individiual for insurance purposes

Hello ladies Quick question - I was just advised by a colleague that you can no longer hop over the Oman border to do a visa run any more, you need a hotel booking/to stay the night in order to do this. Has anyone any recent experience of this? Friend needs to do a visa run on Friday so trying to work out what is truth, what is rumour, and what is crazy recent decision making! Many thanks as always :) 2 of my friends went on Monday no problems at all The make money off of visa runs therefore i doubt they will stop it K

I am a bit cautious of these clauses in the contract re. Competition clause and tying you in for 2 years at least, I also was not really aware the hospitals worked 48hrs! Any advice would or shared experience would be appreciated. Rashid hospital has a trauma unit and this is run by a Canadian firm They were recruiting UK nurses recently

Hi I wouldn't really know anything about the job offer you received, but if it makes you feel any better, the American Hospital is one of the best hospitals here in Dubai and it's quite well respected. So at least you have some peace of mind that it's not some mickey mouse hospital. Really? I had a shocking experience there as have several of my friends and would never grace their doors again.

We're looking at marina, springs or Arabian ranches- all of which are fairly accessible for my husband, which would you say would be best for a young family? I've heard that the ranch can be noisy due to motor city? Ranches isnt although they do the night racing at the Autodrome once a year Personally speaking the Marina is noisy and primarily apartments, there is construction going on My choice if i had a family would be Ranches Springs Marina

I thought it would be more of a challenge to get a job in Dubai judging from the formal interviews and experience you would need in order to even try for getting a position from what i read .. Iv had experience but not quite qualifications which isn't much of a plus on that behalf but me and my partner (not married yet) are both undertaking a Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety.. Its online so it wont take longer than a year to complete.. I am only 21 years old.. I fluently speak English as well as Greek.. Romanian as well by nationality but no idea about the langauge and only know basic arabic because of my religion which wont help .. I like the idea of working in another country and I know that Dubai as well as being a very religious country is a very welcoming country to westerners.. there is no rush in coming to dubai but it is a thought i would strongly consider within the next 2-3 years .. Did u move to Dubai from Australia? Dubai can be ageist aswell, young candidates aged 21 are usually in competition with locally experienced residents who are older and have more work experience plus UAE experience It can be luck of the draw however most single females receive a total montly salary which is basic/accomodation/transport although i will be honest and advise it will not be a huge amount ( based on age and experience) It is a great place to live and work but bear it mind it is illegal to live with a partner ( You are supposed to be married) it is expensive although i believe cheaper than Australia

Thanks very much- I think you are right about the whole summer thing! Good to know about the nursery side of things too, would like to keep my son in nursery ideally as he loves the social side of it. Can you recommend one or an agency that hires uk nannies so I can look into that side of things too? With experience I hear lots of different things about the best area to live with children... Where would you recommend? I have a feeling things are going to get very stressful soon! Thanks for your help I dont think there are any agencies here that hire UK nannies i believe they are not easy to hire at all. Most maids double as nannys here and they are usually from the Asian countries and hired through word of mouth or via an agency

How long have you been out of work bringing the bubs up? What did you do before? Are you looking for part/full time Which industry? If you have been out of the working game for a while it can be difficult to get back into it as you are facing competition from other candidates who have been working up to present day Regarding timeframe it is the "how long is a piece of string" scenario. It could take a couple of weeks or months Regarding agencies, if you register your CV it does not go into a black hole however they will only contact you if you match the requirement taken from the client.

Hello everyone, I am new to this site. My husband was offered a job in Dubai 5 days ago. He is already in Dubai as I type. Myself and the kids will be moving over in the next couple of months. I believe my husbands work is near the Dubai International Convention Centre. I need to find a school for my 3 year old daughter to attend in a suburb not too far away from where my husband works as well as a suburb to live. We are from Australia and I have no idea where to start, does anyone have any advice? I have looked at some of the information available about schools on this website but it doesn't help when I have no idea where they are in connection to where my husband works and we aren't sure where we should live yet either. We both don't want to have to spend hours in the car travelling to work or to school each day if we can help it...... Any advice would be sooooooo appreciated :) I cannot comment on schools as it depends on the ciriculum you want and i know getting kids into schools here can be difficult. With regards to accomodation you have lots of options available to you as the convention centre is pretty central If you want a villa you have Springs Lakes Meadows Arabian Ranches Barsha Jumeriah Village Triangle Mirdif Warqa The last 2 are close to the airport. The list is endless as the convention centre is not too far away from any of them

I know of somebody who recently went to RERA to ask if they had to leave their villa as LL wanted it back with 3 months notice. As JenniDxb said RERA told her that LL was within his rights to give 3 months notice. However the Rent Committee said 12 months notice, unfortunately they had agreed to move out after the advice given by RERA.... RERA have no law over the rent committee The rent committee are the guys to speak with Any issues with rent and LL you speak with the rent committee, RERA should not be involved nor should you speak the regarding this full stop. They cannot give you 3 months notice to leave unless your rental contract is non renewable and it states this, the area has increased and you do not want to pay the higher amount You have many rights now and the papers have been full of this Absolutely, but it is surprising how many people don't realise until too late. But why is it that RERA and RC are giving out such different rules? Surely if it is the law, then both should be singing from the same hymn sheet so to speak... I agree, i think that is why there has been so much about it in the newspapers Thankfully word spreads fast in this part of the world :-)

they found a very small amount of cannabis folded neatly in his jeans pocket in his suitcase 1.Sorry, not sure what you mean by folding cannabis. 2. I would personally not get involved, as you are not related to him and neither is your daughter and strange things can happen. I should hope that you read that the way I intended. I think she means it was inside his jeans pocket in his suitcase folded in some kind of wrapping I agree with your comments
