To the OP. Don't just look at the service booklet as stamps can easily be forged. If the owner cares about his car, he will have all the service bills and will be happy to show them to you.If you buy privately (even if the car is not old), get it tested at the testing centre for 250dhs.It lasts about one hour and is worth the money. I know plenty of people who service their cars at the dealer at the scheduled times who don't keep the receipts. I don't but all my stamps from VW are genuine and they have a record of this

Can anyone (or hubbys) help? I've looked at a second hand car, and all is fine, but the service booklet shows that it didn't have its first service until it had done about 18,000km. I thought cars need to have a service really early from new...I wonder if this has done anything to the car? The make is a Merc if it makes a difference. Check online when the 1st service has to be done on the model With my car i didnt have to do one till about 1 year or 20,000AED The newer and better the car the less they have to be serviced My colleague has a C class and she said hers was 15000km or one year

Louise that's what I was told, sitting on cold floors or damp grass gives you piles, never heard about bladder infections. And going out with wet hair gives you a sore throat. Or a cold? haha

Botox is going to zap that crevasse Beebers. I can't comment on whether you should just have that done or whether to go ahead and have the brow and eyes done as well...speak to the doctor and get his / her advice. I was always pretty "anti" until I had it done, pretty much on a whim, and now wish I'd done it years earlier. I have everything done and I think it makes me look like a happier person because I don't frown all the time (although having my teeth veneered helpled that too!)...i was always told at work that I intimidated people and looked too serious! Try it and see what you think...if you don't like it, it will wear off. I think they have to do other areas when they do your bunnies ( the crease) otherwise it would look wonky. I get my forehead and crows feet done but do not have the crease yet! There is an offer on groupon however i trying to research the Dr's that administer the Botox before i book it

Definitely see your dr. I am a long time user of Diane-35 due to PCOS and after DD thought i could try another one as I noticed a huge improvement to my wellness when off the pill. I tried Yaz and Yasmine (they are two dr recommended alternatives to D-35) and neither kept on top of the symptoms that I had so back to Diane=35. Had not heard it had been recalled - is that in UAE or just overseas? France recalled it first i think

Dh is actively seeking work, got made redundant four months ago and so far nothing, I think he is beginning to grasp at straws so I would like some opinions ans advice, dh has been talking to an executive search cconsultant based in the uk, this consultant claims he can get dh in the door to talk to the right people and executive/director level, however he claims large organisations won't pay huge commissions and so therefore would require dh to pay him a retainer 1k initially and 5k when he lands him the "big job"......would you be concerned?...I think this stinks, this guys email address is a hotmail account, his address is a home address, he spoke to dh for forty five minutes on my dhs mobile, dh made the call, dh did say he was very professional, knew his stuff kind of thing, this is all new to me, I'm hoping some of you might throw some light on it, any advice would be greatly appreciated....thanks No, no and no. Recruitment agencies/headhunters charge the client not the candidate Avoid like the plague. How can anyone guarantee any potential candidate they will get the job Unethical and illegal also!

I do not work here but my husband does and I just wondered what I am required to do so that I can obtain a local license. TIA Are you sponsored by your Husband? If so you need to get an eye test done, take your Uk licence and whatever the fee is, NOC from Husband and do it at the place on Sheizh Zayed Road.

if you have no registration it may invalid your insurance if you have an accident No it doesn't. Insurance isn't reliant on registration, which is one of the reasons why there are so many cars out there with expired registration. The government has mooted the idea of linking insurance validity to registration, but it hasn't happened yet.

Companies usually prefer to hire when the lady is on DH sponsorship as it saves them money on visa costs (just the labour card cost is pretty cheap :) ) - LDVS didn't we have this conversation recently :) The actual document attestation is only required when processing a visa, so if you stay on DH visa and just have the labour card, no need to submit any of your education certificates. Have a chat with the HR person in your company, it should not affect your salary, though I guess that depends on your company and why they wanted to hire you on your own visa to start with - i.e. are you being hired as a local hire or not, have housing benefit etc. It isnt true from my point of view at all Most companies prefer to sponsor however that is only what i have come across Temps always have to be on FSS or HSS

My Tool bar above Mail seems to have vanished! so I can't close or minimise anything!!!. By hovering at the top, I get File edit etc. The icons at the bottom have also vanished but do come back when I hover. I am so confused, I didnt think I changed anything. I have tried googling and the advice was to click on view which I have done and the only option there is to "Hide" the tool bar???? Help! You have probably disabled it in error First of all; don't panic. If you got here, then you're already on the right track. You accidentally disabled all the functions (address bar, bookmarks, etc) by right-clicking on the status bar next to the letters, and de-selecting each of them. This can be corrected by a simple trick. Press the F10 button on your keyboard as a shortcut to re-open the menu bar. Hooray! 20% there! However, if you click off of it, it will disapear: it is only temporary. Now we fix the rest of the bars. Right-click on the grey part of the task bar you just opened on the side that doesn't have any word-icon things to select. it will show three options: menu bar, favorites bar, and address bar. First: select menu bar to permenantly activate the Menu bar. Then, repeat this process for the other two, and whatever other bars you might have installed. Or Click 'View' > Click 'Toolbars' > Check the 'Navigation Toolbar'

I used to temp for Kershaw as a PA/Admin a year or so ago. not sure if they still do it. I am temping at the moment for someone who advertised for a PA on Dubizzle. If you put an ad on there you might get someone direct, you will however get 100's of cv's that are pure tripe also! Best to say western or European if that is what you want, and uae experience etc, be very specific. there are lots of women on their husbands visa's who like to do temp or part time work and have some good experience, but don't work full time now due to having kids. The hourly rate for a temp can be anything from 40-50AED however expect to pay more for a European :-(

I also always had lot of respect for him, but have problems to believe that even if it is a burglar, you shout 4 times in the head/upper body, specially if there is no shouting back... Just read now as well: He also used to have 2 little white tigers at home as a pet, had to sell it to a zoo as they got bigger..so bit of strange dude.. Wow Tattie Bogle & Quikchange I didn't realise that. I too have misplaced my degree certificate , and was going to look into it getting a replacement & getting it attested in the summer. May I ask, if you get a job under your DH sponsorship , or change in job title, will it affect salary vastly? It shouldnt be affected under DH sponsorship, job title i suppose it depends on the role, experience, their budget. Top be honest temporary staff do get paid considerably less than permanent staff. Usually they are paid an hourly rate

Got friends coming and would like to know more about it, i.e. would you have to take a bank loan out to go there one time? How much for a drink? Do you have to be dressed super-posh? Do they let oldies like us in (over 40?). I love quirky places so would love to check it out.... its great, been there twice.drinks are quite expensive and the place is very quirky. dressing up is a must - posh. call to make a reservation So u think we couldn't just pop in for a nosey drink? If so what would have to pay? i am not sure. you could try.i went in with friends who had reservations. its great fun and we enjoyed it despite the posh pretentious crowd which is in most clubs in dubai I am almost positive you have to book and i would hardly call the pretencious people here posh ;-)

[ Eta -[b'> a well behave child is one with parents who can be bothered to parent....[/b'> edited by Gibberish on 14/02/2013 Even the best parented children mis behave at times! I'm so fed up with so many negative comments about children. Does everyone forget they were a child once? More tolerance and manners from all members of society is the way to civility. Babies cry, children cry, life goes on. edited by Lolacat on 14/02/2013 Yes but those who actively parent do something about rather than make everyone else suffer. Also, they would not be taking children to inappropriate events/places. I"m pretty sure that if I went to a children's party boozing and cursing I would get berated because it's not appropriate. Yet there are many parents who belive that their little angle is entitiled to go anywhere despite rules or how inappropriate it may be! I don't have an issue with kids in McDonalds, but why should we, after paying 300AED for a ticket at an event, be subjected to a baby crying when it should not be there in the first place? I understand your point, and i had a child behind me (and my children) who was soooooooo excited by everything he saw he had moments of a very loud running commentary (in a strong accent). I had to laugh in the end rather than be annoyed at his excitement, it was not the end of the world and i was to busy crying with laughter anyway! Excited child I can cope with, screaming baby different story..... Agree i love seeing excited kids makes me smile Screaming brats no thank you

.....have you considered trying Emla cream? You put it on any painful areas an hour before hair removal and it numbs the area making it pain free. Just a thought as I was in the room next to you and it honestly sounded like you were being whipped with all the screaming that was going on. When i was in having minor surgery years ago the woman in the room next to me sounded the same. I asked them what she was having done and from what i can remember it was something really minor. They were proper blood curdling screams and groans. I was trying to not to laugh which is mean really
