We haven't moved in to our apartment yet so I am not sure if we will have Du or Etislaat yet. But thanks for the information on Du. If we have to go with them then I know what to ask for:) You will only get the Premiership matches and the big teams dominate ( Chelsea, Man Ure, Man City etc) therefore some of the other premiership matches are not always shown.

Is it worth attending bootcamp sessions or is it just better to stick to the indoor classes like (body combat, body attack, body pump, zumba, etc)? I found i worked harder at Bootcamp as the instructors were behind you yelling wheras at the classes you could work hard but blended in with the rest of the class if that makes sense

Hello out there. I am new to the forum. My husband has been viewing some properties in the Jumierah Village area. I'm hesitant to relocate (again....) but it appears we might get more for our money than where we are now (The Greens...plus the school is near...hugely convenient). Its just that we are thinking we will have more space for a couple of years (we are considering the rent increases going on at the moment. If we stay in the Greens, it looks like we will be paying more for the same or less if you know what I mean) Does anyone know this area or would they recommend it? I'm just wanting some more informed opinions. Thanks! I live in the Greens and as per the rental calculator my place hasnt gone up since 2010 Unless the area has increased by 25% ( I suppose it depends on your rent) then they cannot increase. I have friends at JVT and it seems nice enough except trying to get a cab from there, no amenities as we have the Greens ( shops close by) although there is a petrol station My friend has a lovely villa there with a huge garden

Thanks for the replies Ladies. I mentioned to Mumsy earlier about socket timers and bless, apparently one of those is now winging its way to me from Blighty. Gotta love her. :-) I had them in UK for my Xmas tree and the dark nights :-)

Husband has been on and off in an affair that wife only gets glimpses of with one-off texts not deleted etc, i.e no confession. One or two confrontations with husband and even mistress over the years clearly did not work. Husband always covering up and even makes wife settled that its over, good times even shared with family. Now through a tx as well, wife finds out the other woman is pregnant and husband confesses to a slip up. wife and husband have 2 children. wife not financially stable. what would you advice wife. I would look at some of the other threads on here regarding affairs Start stashing as much money as she can to protect herself and kids, then leave UAE and divorce him and take him for what she can. What a horrible man

Sorry Ladies, very boring subject I know, but I'm trying to get hold of a socket timer. Basically my lovely Mumsy has bought me a slow cooker, but unfortunately I'm out of the house for about 12 hours in the day. I tried a couple of recipes last week, which called for 10 hours cooking (on low) and I got home (early, before the 10 hours) and it was burnt :-( (that was also with additional liquid that the recipe hadn't called for, as I was suspicious it might not last the distance). Sadly, the cooker doesn't have a timer, so I'm after one of those plug socket ones (I think you can get them for tree lights), have been to ACE, but they don't have any. Have any of you seen socket timers anywhere else? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. I looked for them everywhere just before Xmas and couldnt find any so had to pick them up in the Uk for a couple of pounds. I will keep my eye out here for you though

I used to babysit my neighbours kids when I was 10, all on my own. She had 3 under the age of 5. As a mom now, I dont think I would have left my son at age 3 or 4 with a 10 year old. But I guess it depends on the child. My son is almost 7, there is no way I could possibly leave him alone. He never thinks situations through and therefore does a lot of irresponsible things. Im thinking maybe 12. But it depends on him at age 12. If he is still a bit like he is now, then I guess older. Much older. Children were very different in our day. We were safer and more mature than kids of today We knew right from wrong at an early age and respected our parents and elders 100% I was left alone with my elder siblings however my Sister only started leaving my Neice for an hour at a time with her 16 old Brother when she was 13

All appeared well organised tonight. The queue was long but didn't really take too long to get in. Even getting out of car parking didn't take long at all. The only issues I had were people constantly texting throughout the performance - very rude and annoying. Also someone saw fit to bring a baby who did start to cry at one point - very selfish. Very rude and annoying: maybe the performance was not great Very selfish: I see one selfish person in here and it is not the crying baby There are announcements not to have mobiles on during the performance. And as others have said clearly no under 5s so I assume you mean the 1 selfish person is the parent for thinking that rules don't apply to them! I paid good money to see this show. If I want to hear a baby cry I could do it for free at any mall/cafe etc. if you know it is not allowed for under 5s either get a sitter or don't go. It should not be thrust upon other to have their experience interrupted by this! And the performance was totally amazing as you would expect from Cirque. It is bad enough when you are at the movies and get crying babies and mobile nevermind one of these shows.

What about Jane Seymour? She's 62 and looks awesome as does her hair. Sorry but all of you saying no long hair after 40 are talking complete nonsense. Too right! I couldn't agree more Jennifer Aniston is over 40 and has longer hair, there are so many ladies who are over 40 with long hair who look amazing

Hi all I am new to this site. I am planning to relocate to Dubai with my partner in the coming months. We are planning a month trip to Dubai from 27 February to 30 March, so we can start to find our feet. Does anyone know of a good agency for short-term rental apartments. We could stay in a hotel for the month (expensive), but are keen to start getting a feel for really living in Dubai. Can anyone help... or recommend an agency? Thanks. Nicki Gloria hotel in Media city is good Nice facilities and close to Metro, shops etc I wouldnt use an agency as they will charge you for doing very little I would Google short term lets in Dubai Time apartments in Tecom are nice also

Don't worry about it! Somehow with the driver's side of the car also being the opposite to what I was used to, it all felt quite natural! In fact when I was back in Scotland last year I really had to concentrate hard when I was driving, it felt very unnatural to be back on the left hand side of the road. Except when you get in the wrong side of the car and wonder where the steering wheel has gone I used to drive a right hand driver car in Germany then at work there switch to a lefthand drive car confused.com on a daily basis Most cars here are automatic so point and press lol

Hi ladies, I am planning on shifting to Dubai Investment Park sometime around March. I have a 2 year old son for whom I need a babysitter or a day care center either in DIP or around the area. If anyone knows any good day cares or babysitters, please feel free to contact me through either [email protected] or 055 7534282. Thanks Sonal I doubt you would get a babysitter as they dont really exist here, most people rely on nurseries or maids/nannys from an agency or one they sponsor due to the UAE laws

Can someone explain the difference between botox and fillers? both fill in lines?? I have never had either. I'm 40 and my hair reaches my chest which is not sagging (probably from all the shea butter and wearing sports bra's to bed for years). Short hair makes me look older -when I tried it everyone (even the stylist said so) but my face is very round. After that (and other threads/living here) I am very curious about botox/fillers. really the only noticeable wrinkles I have are between my eyes but i am seeing a "fold" develop from the side of my nose down to the outer lip. not sure how to put this. I have booked an appointment in March for a consult with a dermotologist but would be interested in others feedback I had fillers for the fold from my nose down to my outer lip around 2 years ago Fillers are not permanent however my lines which werent too deep havent returned at all Fillers clear the lines there immediately however Botox takes a week to kick in

Has anyone been to any of the shooting ranges here and if so, what did you think of them? My DS is desperate to try one out but I'm not sure about their minimum age ranges or safety standards, so would appreciate your opinions. The only ones I know of are in Sharjah & Jebel Ali, although apparently Meydan now has a shooting simulator. Are there any others? Thanks. I have been to Sharjah and Jebel Ali both very good I cannot comment on Meydan though

Does this have anything to do with the recent rulings that means anyone applying for a mortgage needs a min 50% downpayment? If this is the case = fewer people buying = higher rents. I have also noticed rents are scarily high compared to this time last year, especially when there is lots of new stock on the market and loads more available accommodation in areas like JVC / Jumeirah Park etc. DH just said he's heard they've back-pedalled on this 50% mortgage thing When the crash happened the rents fell so i dont see how lack of mortgages can make the rents rise plus there are so many controls in place now to protect the tennant. I have just renewed for a 3rd year and my LL knew she could not increase the rent at all so did not. There is an article in the 7 days today regarding rents

40 plus is pushing it but over 45 forget it get it cut to your ears and keep it neat but funky. What arrant nonsense. Short hair does not suit everybody, no matter how old you are. The Golden Rule is to keep it bra strap length. That is a very flattering length and very youthful. Anything below the bra strap pulls you down and makes you look older. Oh, and keep your hair sleek and shiny. Fluffy hair is very ageing. *Like* Like, i am 40 and have long hair short hair makes me look butch

OK, so I had some Botox a few weeks ago and it didn't work! I have had it loads of times in the past, so did not have unrealistic expectations. I went back to the lady who did it and she gave me a top up. But still it didn't work. So, I need to find somewhere else. May I ask you nice ladies where you go and how much you pay? Thanks. Dr Imran Tahir or Jaffar Khan 1800 and my wrinkles and line disappear everytime poof :-)

I can't help with hotels in Patong sorry but if they feel like checking out the nightlife elsewhere for one night I can highly recommend Catch Beach Club at Surin Beach. They do an amazing buffet on certain nights and have great dj's. It's got a really chilled cool beach vibe during the day but at night it's meant to be fabulous. I was always back at the hotel with the children by then but judging by the empty bottles of champagne strewn everywhere when I went for my early morning massages on the beach, things certainly got lively! Thank you

SOS salon in jumeirah have seriously messed up my hair - they couldn't care less!!! Called Maria Dowling as need to get it sorted and despite not caring about the cost or time limit to see her (just want this problem sorted out) have been told it is not possible? Please someone recommend a hairdresser who is good with colour and who actually cares about their clients. Thanks in advance. Salon Ink Kelly Sharon Ali Australian and Irish I have been told that the above nationals do the longest training in hairdressing than any other ( I do not know if it is true) They are expensive compared to other salons however i feel you can never pay enough for a good hairdresser.
