Thank you girls I feel a little better. I do hear that the transition to 3 is easier, I really hope so. I don't have family here :( and no maid. I think it's time to search for one. I was so looking forward to going back to work after DD starts school, but that won't be happening soon. DH isn't the sensitive type when it comes to me crying and feeling depressed :( He told me you can't do anything now this is meant to be :( I know that!!! Hmm MEN.

I use them too and they are great. I've used them for my 2 kids and never had any leaks and rashes. I like that they come in huge jumbo sizes for cheap. I don't think bambi does any pull ups, I have never seen any tbh.

I changed over to Bare Minerals about six months ago and have never looked back. Utterly love the stuff. Sensora overcharge for it [cheaper to buy online'> but that's probably not what you want to hear with a date approaching! Seriously though, it's great stuff. Do a google for it and get some reviews. :) I love it too and their brushes :) I love the feel of it like you are wearing nothing. I get my sister to bring it over when she visits, they foundation lasts forever.

Thanks for replying. Hmm how difficult is it with 2 kids in the water? Will that even work? Probably need to leave one at home with DH.

Baby Splash is great, the kids love being in the water but there are lots of other activities you could choose if it doesn't fit in your routine. or Farasha, sounds like something my DD (3 years old) would enjoy. What are the prices like? Do I have to get in the water with her? I have a DS (1 year old) can he also go in?

The best shwarma's are from Al Mallah. Second best would be Union coop on Wasl Rd, third from Ikea. I love shwarmas :)

I think you should stretch the 45 minutes to maybe 1.5 to 2 hour gap, but then it really depends on how much they drink and eat (ie melons, grapes). I was taking my DD every 2 hours for a couple of days and then I stopped. She started going on her own but mine was older, 2 years 8 months. Good luck.

You'll have to get off on Manara Street from SZR and make a right on Wasl St. I'm not sure what street you could get off so you don't have to go all the way to Spinneys, (it could be Thanya, really not sure). Anyhow you go all the way to Umm Al Sheif street make a right and then after Spinneys make another right. Go all the way down the street will curve and make a first right. It will be on your left hand side at the end of the street. edited by LuLee on 15/02/2011

In Yemen they have so many protests. My dad is there now and goes to many of the quieter ones but they hardly last long. Would love to see a huge demonstration. I think once they get Qat out of their system and get rid of it completely, they can save their country.

Is there any saloon in Dubai that is not all ladies ?? I mean, apart for the manager or hairdresser who might be a man. Or is that exactly what you want do avoid ? No offence, I am just trying to understand. Sorry I wasn't clear, I cover my hair so I want a lady to do my hair. Glad to know it's a ladies salon.

LuLee- I have been asking around as much as i can because I want to avoid the formalhyde. The manager at Beuty Within seemed very knowledgable about all of it and said they do not use formalhyde. She gave me some readin material on it so I will look where I placed it- like a frequently asked questions info. When i went there for a facial all ladies were there but I can check if it is an official all ladies salon I'll get back to this with more info I don't mind if it's also a men's salon as long as they have a private room for ladies. Thank you sophia07 :)

I have a voucher (2 for-1) at Beuty Within and they said they dont use formalhyde- are you interested? Sophia I know you've been trying to get more info on the keratin and someone to use the voucher with you. I'm interested but would like to know how much it would cost roughly? Do you know how long it will last on the hair? Does it include the after care shampoo and conditioner? Is it a ladies salon? Sorry too many questions.

promise to take note of the street. I found it by accident near Al-rigga street when I got lost avoiding traffic. It's a long street and you'll find it if you go for a drive but realistically i know thats terrible advice lol. Ok, so point noted, will note down which shop its near and the butcher shop name itself. Please let us know. There was another butcher shop that someone mentioned near Mercato Mall gosh if I only wrote it down.

Shams gymnastics don't start till 4 years. I've tried to get a hold of Dubai olympic gymnastics (they have a website) and they never replied to me. I even called but no answer or call back. They are very reasonable in price. The others are quite expensive. Ive booked in for a trial at My Little Gym in Ibn. I was recommeded Dubai olympic gymnastics but its distance is ther problem want something closer to home. Have you had any luck with any other places? The thing is we live 2 minutes drive from Shams and DOGC so it's very convenient. I might even pop over to the DOGC and talk to someone in charge. If that fails, then I'll try the others. Is the trial at Little Gym 95aed?

My DD who is 3 doesn't go to nursery. We just can't afford it. She'll have to wait until she's 4 years and 7 months to start school. I really need to make more of an effort to get her out and socialize with kids.

I remember that was told to me once, but with baby #1 I wasn't breastfeeding so it was easier to give a bottle/pacifier. Does your baby take a pacifier? If not, I would just breastfeed and ignore them but keep the seat belt on the baby.

You could really go both ways. I have a more tanner complexion so I use black. Sometimes I use dark grey too if I don't want to go too dramatic. You could even use dark browns, dark purple. I think if you are a lighter complexion I would avoid black. edited by LuLee on 30/01/2011 eta, Check out youtube Miss Chievous and MakeupAdikt tutorials on smokey eye. My DS is 11.5 months and we're also in the same boat. It's never too late, better to tackle it now than later. There are days where he will settle on his own and then days where he'll cry his head off. I used to breastfeed him before I put him down but now I give him a bottle of cow's milk. In the very beginning I used to put him down and he would go hysterical. There were times where I would let him cry it out but that didn't work so well, so I pat and shush (louder than his cry lol). This method worked better for me. He would stand up in his crib and wanted to be carried but I would say firmly NO it's time to sleep and put him down gently. He would do this many times but now he hardly does it cause he knows I will not pick him. It's gotten much better and the pat and shush is down to a minute or less. When I leave the room, he'll sometimes wake up. In the beginning, he wouldn't stop crying so I go in and do the pat and shush and never pick him up. Now I don't go back in and he'll settle himself. He usually wakes up 2 or 3 times to breastfeed but I'm trying to cut this down. My MIL is staying but once she's gone I'll continue with the pat and shush. This is what is working for me. It's really hard but it won't last forever. This will pass. HTH

Congrats Fairycakeyumm !:) Day 2 level 2 done. Skipped yesterday as I was in sooo much pain(yes I am a wuss;) ) I have a question though about the very last abs exercise in level 2, twist planks I think they're called. Am I the only one who doesn't feel it in my abs? I'm holding them as best I can and think I'm doing it right but still I feel nothing. edited by mimi on 27/01/2011 Day 1 Level 2 done. OMG, that was one hard workout. I can feel my legs beginning to sore. Mimi you're not alone on the last exericse, didn't feel anything. Maybe we need to twist a little more?

Where are you in the 30 days? I'm on Day 10 today if I manage to turn it on. Been busy with visitors. What do you like the most and least? I like all the ab workout especially the last part. I didn't realize how hard it is when you do them slowly, you could really feel it burning. The pushups are the only part I dislike, but it's not that bad. Have you lost or gained weight or inches?i" I've lost 1 kg and 1/2 inch from my tummy. I do notice my legs look really good in jeans. I'm really happy about that. What has been the biggest benefit so far? Feeling good about my health and body. At the end of the video I feel much more fit and stronger. If your motivation has waned will you join in the February challenge? Definitely :)

That sounds interesting Annie. Would be keen to hear your impressions of it once you've had an orientation visit. 30 DHS per class is not too bad at at 3,555 DHS I guess at least you're not subsidising the classes too much. I'm figuring I would probably only do spin classes anyway, the rest I will do myself on cardio and weights machines. One more thing I want to add, the classes at Fitness First are free, so are all the other facilities (swimming pool, sauna, les mills classes, etc.). They also offer a spinning class, I think it's only offered at the Festival City fitness club. And no I don't work for them lol.
