I will never go to Rainforest again IMO. My kids were too young and were scared. I was so disappointed with food. So expensive not even worth it. Chilies have better food.

Hmm the map doesn't help. Nothing is familiar to me. Okay I called the salon, I THINK I know where it is. Phew I hope I don't get lost. edited by LuLee on 21/04/2012

I couldn't believe Jessica was voted out last week but thankfully the judges kept her. I think she's AWESOME and she's only see 16. CRAZY

I've just had my eyebrows done by Michelle and I'm really happy with them and the bonus is that it's actually taken years off my face. Thank you Kitten for your recommendation as I will definitely be going back to her again. How much was it and how often should you go?

Is it dangerous doing it here because of the heat/sun. I mean I know you can protect your skin with spf, but is it really enough. Has anyone done a chemical peel here and how is your skin?

I think Laban is buttermilk. Or at least a liquid yoghurt. I've used it before to make mango lassi. I've always substituted laban for buttermilk.

I bought mine at Union Coop. You'll find it where they have bandages, panadol, vicks. It comes in a small glass bottle.

I think because the keratin needs to "soak" in the hair. Don't wash it otherwise you will waste a lot of money and time. When you wake up, you have to flat iron the hair where it's not straight. I know with QOD Gold you wash your hair the same day. Where did you get it done and for how much? And how long is your hair so I can have a rough idea what it would cost me. Thanks.

I made an appt with Ali-Salon Ink but it's so far out end of this month. Is she good with thick, curly, frizzy hair? If there is anyone with this type of hair, who cuts your hair?

Thanks all for the info!! The normal rate is AED40 per class? DLC is 50 dirhams a class. I took advantage this month when they had buy one get one free (evening classes only), unfortunately it ends tomorrow. I wonder if they offer these deals regularly.

I went I holland on a school trip when I was about 7 and I have ever forgotten keukenhof - it was the most beautiful place with all the tulips! We Los went o a theme park which was magical and I have never been able to remember the ame muurtjie can you tell e what it is and where it is please - it was very Hans christen Anderson! It had giants and dwarfs and I loved every minute there it's somewhere I'd love to go back to now i have children of my own who are a similar age to the age I was when I went there. Re Paris - don't miss out the Eiffel tower my kids loved it up there. We also sat in the park outside and had a lovely picnic and took some amazing pictures of the kids with the Eiffel owner right behind them. Friends of ours last year hired a motor home and had the holiday of a lifetime travelling around Europe. They took their 3 small kds and the photos show just how amazing it was so maybe an idea to consider. It was amazing at how much they managed to cram into 2 weeks! Oh wow that sounds so exciting. I think I could do something like that, not sure what DH would think. We have 3 small kids (4,2,4months) and love travelling. I think this would be a great idea for us.

Alrighty! So I think salon ink it is! Thanks gals! Should I ask for someone specific? I have heard of Ali on this board. Hey hiccup please update to tell us how it went. I also have long hair, way too long right above my bum. Have never had a haircut here and would like someone who knows what cut is suitable for my face. My hair is curly and thick so really scared to go short. If anyone can share what the prices are for a cut, that would be helpful.

Hi Susandiaz - thanks for posting that list, it's really helpful. I have some questions. When you say bring passport and proof of visa - is that the baby's documents or can I use my pasport and visa? We haven't had her visa processed yet (still waiting on passport) but her two month jabs are due in two weeks. I have a healthcard for myself but not the baby yet. Basically can I get her vaccinations done at the gov clinic using my healthcard or does she need her own seperate one? Thanks again! She needs her own. You have to have her visa processed too. My DD was late for her 2 month vaccines because we were waiting for her visa.

I was in DisneyWorld in Florida in July and it was humid and sticky. It is tolerable but can get uncomfortable. We went before we had children so it was okay.

Just gave them a call, kids on their snack break:) The Sales person will call me back. Since when can't receptionists give you a price? lol FF have their own sales persons as they usually have so many products, services, schemes and promotions going on every month. From what I remember, they never give quotes over the phone.

Been here 6 years and moved twice. Actually the first place I lived in, DH chose it before I came to Dubai. The second place which I'm currently in he also chose it while he moved companies and I was out of the country. I would love to move and find one that fits us.

Chanel no.5... All time classic.... I tried this on in the mall and it just wasn't for me. So many recommend this but I don't see what's so nice about it. TBH it was awful smelling on my skin.

I went on Thursday to Simply Skin after reading the recommendation and I really liked it. I must admit that is not a plush place but it is a 'normal' kind of place. Dramanqn I wouldn't get too worked up about the booking, after all I think that the experience with the therapist would be more relevant rather than the issue receptionist? :) How much did it cost?

I just got the Techno XLR for 300aed on dubizzle in very very good condition :) I'm so happy I waited, couldn't afford the regular price. I think it's fabulous. It feels really great, not heavy at all and it fits into my Yaris boot (what boot? :P). I like that the seat is very wide. My 3 month old looks lost in it hehe. It doesn't lie flat but almost. HTH

Thanks all of you :) I am not sure I have reached the stage where I could manage in a coffee shop just as yet (baby steps) but it helps to know that most malls have the right facilities. Has any of you tried feeding a baby somewhere around Ikea?? Ikea has a baby changing/feeding room.

Thanks everyone for your replies. We live in Jum-3. I was also thinking to apply to Universal but DH works in Al Barsha so the drive will be a little far out. I'm feeling more relaxed about it. It's not the end of the world if she doesn't get accepted to ASD.

Saintlouismama: You don't mind me asking where your kids go to now. American school? My other options are DAA and Collegiate. You see , this is where you guys confuse me. How do you compare DAA to ASD? Yes I know, but there are not that many American Schools. I'm not comparing. This is just back up in case she does not get into ASD.
