I've only ever gotten samples when I buy something but saying that, they do spend a lot of time helping you put on/try on the makeup so that should help.

Everyone says it's the water but it wouldn't explain excessive hair loss. I had lived here for a few years without any problems when suddenly I started shedding like a kitten. It was stress, vitamin D deficiency and then another time it started and I found out it was a severe iron deficiency. Take the cues from your body and get your vitamin levels checked as a first point and then consider your stress levels as well. Good luck

I popped into T3 and got mine right at the main desk and it only took about 5 minutes. Paid everything and gave the photo to the same girl without any hassle.

Although this sounds counter-intuitive, try moving more. I suffered in the summertime with lower back pain and increased my walking and even did some running as long as the pain didn't increase. I supplemented this with some Dorn Therapy exercises (you can find them on YouTube) to put my body back into alignment. Within a week I was as good as new.

I have been doing the FAST diet or 5:2 for the past 2 weeks and it is doing some wonders for me. I have already lost several inches. The premise is that if you fast 2 days a week and only eat 500 calories on both those days, you will achieve amazing health benefits as well as naturally lose weight. Watch the documentary here, it's a UK doctor who has created the diet from different researchers and tried it on himself. They have the book at Borders but it is not that different from the documentary and there is a helpful FB group. I'm really enjoying it as well as continuing to exercise... http://vimeo.com/54089463

Unless you have a lot of money and can bear to part with it by taking the huge risk of buying here then go for it. Laws change frequently and there is very little protection if things go bad. I knew a woman a few years back who bought a big house when they were giving residencies with purchase. Then for some reason, the laws changed and residencies with purchase were done away with. So they had to root up and leave as they had wanted to retire here. This is typical of what happens here. Just make sure you find out all the information and talk to people before making a leap...

just a little aside, I have a friend who had fibroids and changed to a vegetarian diet. Within 3 months, the fibroid had shrunk to nothing. I've heard this is quite common. Maybe something you might like to look into as well. Best of luck.

HSBC is not a good option here. I had several problems with banks here, especially customer service. Now I have had Noor Islamic Bank for the past 4 years and can't say enough about them. Little or no charges, easy access, a 24x7 teller at Terminal 3. And I'm not a muslim but it still works! have given many of my friends the same referral and they've not been disappointed!

Sorry I'm not too sure about the answer to your question but just wondered if you've ever tried making your own almond/nut milk before? It's very easy and much cheaper compared to buying it from the store... how do you make it madamerose? All you do is soak about 1 cup of almonds (or other nuts work too) for 10-12 hours. Rinse them. Put them into the blender with about 3-4 cups of water (depending on the consistency you want) and blend them together. Then use a cheesecloth (or "nut milk bag" if you have one) to strain the milk from the remaining nut meal. You can use the almond meal for other recipes if you dry it out. The milk will last for about 5 days optimally. Good luck!

There is an immigration hotline in Dubai that is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. I'm wondering if they would be able to answer your questions or at least lead you in the right direction. I called for a situation I had and they were very helpful for me. The number is 800 5111. Best of luck!

Hi, Maybe if you can tell us a little more about what kind of lifestyle you want to have then the advice can be more focused. I think both places are very nice but quite different too. For example, Vancouver is typically warmer during the winters but is often rainy... Toronto is colder in the winter but more sun and still easy access to the outdoors. Both places are very multicultural, Vancouver feels more fresh and exciting, Toronto has much more of a "stable" feeling to it. I've lived in both places before and although I enjoyed both, I would say I enjoyed Vancouver more. People get out more and the lifestyle is more active and enthusiastic. Both places are easy for young children... Hope that helps you somewhat :)

I can soooo sympathize!!! I was totally debilitated 2 summers ago and it just got worse and worse until I couldn't sit down anymore! I went to a physiotherapist who told me that it could easily be cured with just simple stretching and that I should not sit for very long--I should try to move around as much as possible. It seemed counter-intuitive BUT he was right! I started going to the gym immediately and stretching out my legs by sitting on the floor with feet out- and holding the stretch for 2-3 mins each. I'd do the stretching 3-4 times per day. Then miraculously, it was gone after 4 days!! So, I would suggest you try the same, even though it seems painful at first. Good luck!

I can imagine how stressful this all is! The problem for many kids though is once they're assessed, they still need to be given support, especially if they're found to have major weaknesses in their early phonics etc. like our child was. Schools here do not seem to have the kind of support for remediating these kinds of weaknesses (from our experience) which can sometimes be fixed easily. We had good success with IngeniousEd. who run the Literacy Intervention Program 044218443. Best of luck.

She is an educational consultant who does an assessment and is able to provide an intensive program to close the gaps before the child goes to a psychologist. Why would you want to 'close any gaps'? Surely this will impair the results of an EP's assessment that might leave you with a misdiagnosis? We used Christa Strauss. The cost was K5, not covered by medical insurance. Whoever you decide to go with, make sure that they are registered properly with the KHDA so that the report is regognised and any 'recommendations' (use of computer/reader/scribe/extra time in tests) can be implemented. Deeva, The point is to "close the child's gaps" so that they don't have to go to a psychologist ultimately. In most schools in the Western countries, if children are struggling with reading/literacy, they do an intervention program first to inject them/boost them with the lacking skills. This is the first step. Only after that are they moved on to the next referral point if there is still no significant progress. In Dubai you always see schools jump the gun and recommend struggling kids to a psychologist. It's like referring someone with a splinter to a surgeon IMHO.

Hi, if you are doing catering, etc or anything dealing with food then you will be highly-regulated from the Municipality through licensing and quality checks. This cannot be done from home at all--you need a specific license for this from the DED or from the Freezone (for offering this only in the Freezone). The only way you can get around the Freezone License operating outside the Freezone is with a "consulting" license as this is a grey area. It's not very easy.

Hi, glad to hear that you're trying to be a veggie :) I think if you start out gradually shifting your diet you may have more success. You can add more raw foods (salads, fruit smoothies) and will feel a great benefit. When I first became a vegetarian, I made the mistake of not adding enough fruits as they give you the calories. Vegetables don't actually have many calories so if you are only trying to eat these, you will get a little weak and tired. If you like Indian foods and Arabic foods, you can start by trying some of those recipes and incorporating new ones. I am now an 80% raw vegetarian and have had great results so I think you'll find it worthwhile. The secret to my success is that I try to have a lot of lentils or daal (cooked/soup) and then make the majority of my diet fruits and tasty salads with nuts. There are many good facebook groups that you can join which show you new recipes, give tips etc. As a raw vegetarian, I've learned how to make many raw desserts and foods with natural organic produce and many non-veg friends can't believe how good they are--especially the pumpkin pie! I also track my food intake into "calorie count" app which tracks all of the nutrients and calories I eat on a daily basis so that I know if I'm getting enough iron, etc. Most people don't realize that you can get all of the nutrients you need simply by a plant-based diet. Most raw foods have much higher nutrients than cooked foods so I'm usually getting more than I need! Best of luck and I'm sure you'll feel great :)
