Hi, we used Dubai Kennels and Cattery (DKC) also to bring our two cats and dog here, they were great but be prepared its very expensive! We have travelled with the animals for 8 years on almost a yearly basis and as LoobyLoo said it is very stressful and if you DIY at DXB end be prepared to wait at cargo for around 3/5 hours after arrival to get your cat!

Mareas, So glad you found your old moggy. To add to the advice you have already got. Maybe an idea to keep her as an indoor cat while in DXB.Life on the streets can be brutal for cats who get lost etc. All the best. I have to say I am considering it, however she has a daughter and she cries terribly to go outside, they have never been kept indoors so I worry that I am being unfair - but then the last couple of days haven't been great for them either! so swings and roundabouts I guess.

marycatherine Thank you for your kind words, she is looking in pretty good shape considering her ordeal and the whole family is watching her for any signs of distress, she has been drinking slowly and had something to eat,at the moment she is sleeping with her daughter after a very happy reunion!

She has been found by a fabulous maid who heard her locked in a shed! anyway she is home safe and sound.

Thanks everyone - I have been out to see all the maids on their evening walk and now I think I have the whole of Falcon City on the look out - even had a phone call from one of the houseboys saying he had found her but it wasn't her! will keep trying and fingers crossed x

Thank you ladies for your kind words, have been up and down the streets like a mad woman and will continue until dark. Have alerted maids, gardeners and security and put a poster on the security barrier at the entry. I just hope we find her, she is very old now and I can't imagine she could survive long in the heat. :(

Thanks KellBells - I have got through to the municipality and they have registered her as missing, if she hasn't come home on Sunday I will go up there and take a look. Will start calling vets now :(

Hi all, my elderly cat has gone missing in Street 9 Falcon City - she is a grey/white/beige tabby - small and fat! she was wearing a red collar with municipality tag number C2767. She is very old and timid - please if you live on Falcon City keep an eye out for her - thanks x

Hello all, my elderly cat has gone missing, we live in Falcon City. She was wearing her collar with Municipality tag. What should I do other than search the neighbourhood and put up posters? I tried to call the Municipality but just got put on hold - should I go up there? Should I contact vets? She does have a microchip but it is registered in France where she travelled from last month. I am beside myself with worry - she has survived cancer twice and travelled round the world with me and has never dissapeared before, I just don't know what to do!!

I was at the parents induction also, we were very impressed (agree about the microphone SuzyDuzy!) We just hope they deliver on what they are promising educationally, if so it will be an exceptional school. The staff we met were all very professional and positive - nice to see here in ME.
