hi ladies, thank you for all your input! i was at Mirdif City Centre & the shops there charge betw Dhs 150-170 & take abt 3 days to stitch. but i live on this side. i can only imagine the shops in MoE would cost more. i guess it's high time i explore Satwa. many thanks again :)

some baking recipes call for the flavouring as well as the syrup. Waitrose's organic canadian is our staple with waffles. i've since found other recipes that dont require the flavouring so i can now move on with my baking. thanks ladies :)

i've friends in Australia who make bespoke shoes & their starting price is AUD 700 so this price of AED 1200 is quite nice!

CONGRATS to your brother! i googled "flats for rent near National University of Singapore" & this is one of the most sensible things that came up: http://nus.edu.sg/osa/housing/downloads/A%20Guide%20to%20Private%20Housing.pdf i've been away fr home a bit but i still keep my place in Woodlands (that's the other end of the island!). FYI the closest HDB (public housing) estate will be Clementi. there are many condos, too. here's another great site: http://www.easyroommate.com.sg/room-rental-clementi/2-rooms-near-nus-for-rent/H120608124825632/2012060811542425457 i'm sure u'll get a better idea fr e results of e google search. good luck! i'm sure he'll find this new experience enriching :)

hi DC2DXB i hail fr e lil' sunny singa city :) i'v 2 bambini, i dont drive so i'v gone everywhr using public transport, MRT (metro) or taxi w/ them forever! the stations & modes of vehicles are all meant to be wheelchair friendly. it was SO easy w/ 1 but when DD came along, i just pushd DS in pram & DD stuck on me in baby bjorn. if u want to take the bus around town, there's ample room to get through w/ pram. mine love e double decker bus & most bus drivers will wait for u to get LOs settled then move on. most of the taxi drivers will help u w/ e pram. oh, take note of the peak hours if u'r taking taxis. enjoy ur vacation :)

Tablair2004 replied : Went to cheeky monkey and i liked it overall but they only had cakes and things for the cafe? Perhaps they will have a kitchen? But i wanted to buy a sandwich for DD after school and none were available. mandooshe on 1st floor has a good reasonably priced spread... fresh & yummy!

u've got a trip to handbag haven ... go look at all the ferragamo or furla in italy, and gucci or LV in france!! designer arm candies MiC (made in china) like cole haan, coach, MKors, are way overpriced. *NEVER pay retail *buy LEATHER (or canvas if u must get LV)- u'll be very happy in the long run *pick a colour that would go with almost everything u have ;)
