Can anyone say what the new visa laws mean for tourists. Parents are staying and we need to do visa run. Can we do a trip over the border to musandam for the day and come back or is that no longer an option?

Hi we used it for a new camera, for a scalextrik from Hamleys and clothes shopping from John Lewis. The larger stores had the forms and were able to print out with the receipt. The smaller stores gave us a form to fill out. Once airside you need to go the VAT section. Be warned the queues were horrendous and took us about 40 minutes. Definitely worth it though as we got over £1,000 back. Happy shopping

Hi Teabag, paid in the main branch, but turned out to be a lucky coincidence because it meant DH and I were talking about Etisalat bills, and the texts that he had. The money went directly from our account, not through a card, and Etisalat have not received any payments. Bank is starting investigation. Just wanted to warn people.
