Im a sahm and feel just as tired at the end of the day. I actually would love to go back to work but with the cost of childcare for 3 I'd be lucky to have anything left over. Its funny sometimes I think I would be a better mum if I did go back to work.

Im not sure if your aware but you only get 2/3 of your gratuity if you leave before 5 years. We only found out after my husband had handed his resignation in 6 weeks short of completing 5 years! Just something to think about.

I think about 3 years gap seems a pretty good gap, eldest potty trained, mostly out of the pushchair and hopefully a more reasonable human being ;) I remember with dd1 that I didn't even contemplate having another until she was about 2.5. She was such hardwork as she entered her 2's. I think if I'd of had a baby when she was 2 she would have been a nightmare. I ended up having ds when she was 4.5 months and she was brilliant with him. Would have liked a slightly smaller gap but just the way it happened. DD2 however came along when ds was 12mth 3 weeks!

When I was about 7 I begged my mum for the doll cricket, it was quite big and was run by batteries and could talk. Not long after I watched childs play, I know far to young, I rember it was round a friends house and my mum had no idea. Anyway I was petrified of this doll and all others after that. I used to hide it in the wardrobe but then my mum would come in and clean the room and put it back on the end of my bed. Was absolutely petrified and would take ages to get the courage to pick it up and move it again. I still can't have talking dolls in the house even with 2 dd's!

bobadz sorry you had a bad experience. I definately saw Olga at the garoud branch. I wrote her name down to ask for her next time. Tall lady with blonde hair? I paid 700dhs which aslo included manicure and pedicure. Hope it goes well muurtje..can I put a disclaimer if it goes wrong?!! The pressure of recommending! Like I said I was very happy, hair was a bit buoffant after the blow dry but wasn't too bothered about that as I always prefer to do it myself.

Mine and the 3 kids visas went over by about a month when my husband changed jobs and the company were messing us about with the visa process. We would of had to of paid 4000dhs in fines but managed to get it down to just 1200dhs. It was submitted to the courts and they halved it the first time and then was resubmitted to reduce it further still. Not sure on the exact process though sorry. It was done through his office pro. Good luck, hope you manage to sort it out.

So how did my fellow moosters do yesterday? I was good on the food front. Nothing even remotely tasty passed my lips ha! Exercise didn't quite work out as planned. Went for a powerwalk. Obviously it helps if you look the part. I went in my summer dress and flip flops... i know, i know! So had major thigh rub and flip flops are only meant for well um flip flopping not walking fast. My feet are killing! Oh and my handbag as I needed to go the shop! Ok so tonight Gym gear and trainers!

Try chewing gum when you are trying to resist food. My friend was terrible for snacking when she was feeding her kids and swore by chewing gum as it stopped her putting the "leftovers" in her mouth by mistake :) Genius idea!! Will definately be trying that and will make sure the mixing bowl and spoon will be going straight into soapy water when i've finished as im not sure how long i can resist temptation!

Honestly all children seem to develop at different ages. My dd was really active and great at climbing, running etc but not a big talker whereas I knew someone at the same age that could talk really well but not so quick physically. Forgot to add that I did put her in nursery at same age as your ds will be and that helped. Im not sure whereabouts you are but im in festival city if you fancied a playdate one morning?

Oh no just realised its dd 7th birthday on wednesday which means baking 24 cupcakes. Followed by bday girl dinner of choice...pizza hut! Then baking birthday cake friday for party and mcdonalds at party venue, not forgetting all those jelly sweets for party bags. How the h3ll do I resist apart from taping my mush shut?! If I can get through this without slipping I will certainly deserve a bar of choc as a reward. HELP Good news though I have emailed urban fitness about signing up for urbankick twice a week starting tomorrow...

To be honest its easier for me now as the 2 little ones entertain each other. They both love blocks. the wooden and plastic ones and those puzzles that you fit the shapes into. I usually play that with them but like I said they play quite well together so don't need constant attention with me. Maybe play games like that or read books. Tv is not too bad in moderation, My 2 year old gets really interactive when we are watching something and points out and talks about what he can see and i'll ask him stuff like "what is happening now" or "look at that" that kind of thing.

Say NO to the nuts WM!!!! They are seriously NOT good. (Says she who scoffed 3 packets of doritos in a row yesterday) :( There is only one answer for me, if I have to stop eating junk then it cannot be in the house at ALL or I will just eat it. I have no willpower. Im exactly the same, I can sniff out chocolate/cakes/pastries/biscuits crisps etc! Luckily I desperately need a big food shop so we have run out of anything fatty. May not bother and then there is no temptation. Waxmuch it looks like water how bad can it be??!! Step away from the nuts though!

Im so happy its not just me... feels like it sometimes. There are so many yummy mummies that use the pool near me and it just depressing even though its my own fault. Well day 1 and I've had a bowl of special k and a green tea so am feeling postively saintlike. This evening im going for a power walk (inspiration from sueR) round the block or 2 and if the walk doesn't do it I might drop a pound in sweat alone!

My first dd was the same at that age. We had not long moved here and we didn't really mix much with children at the same age or any age to be honest as we didn't really know anyone. I think she was nearer to 3 by the time she started talking more coherently. Now she is the biggest ********** ever! I do think socialising plays a part of it. I now have a 2.8 ds and a 19mth dd and they both started talking fairly early especially the youngest. I think a big part was having there elder sister who is now 6 and also having more friends with little ones to interact with. Maybe you could try some of the mum and tot groups that are on.

waxmuch at least you have till august saying that I'd still of put it off and would be posting the same thing in july in a mad panic. This is it though im so fed up of feeling like a heffer and constantly being tired. The 3 munchkins don't help but then neither does the bad diet and lack of exercise. Thanks for the advice nutty. I find it hard to get myself in gear as I can't go anywhere in the day until hubby gets back to mind the kids. So only evening classes and to be honest by that time im usually done in. Still going to do it though and might have a look what fitness dvds there are out there to do in the day.

Thank you all. Wuffles I hadnt thought of any of that... something else to add to the pros of moving to be nearer to her school eventually! I feel hopeful though after reading Greenish's reply, because that area (around Lamcy) is very populated too as is Bur Dubai. Suethack I wonder if you are going against the morning rush hour traffic and thats why you rarely get stuck? Thats exactly the route I take, except in reverse. Though I really hope its true for me as well! :) Drawing up papers to file for admission.... here we come Mirdif, ready or not!! I do the school run run from festival city to mirdif and from this point it only takes 10-15 mins. Don't hit any traffic at all as its going against. You sometimes get the backend of the traffic on the way back near the fc turn off. Not sure on the traffic from bur dubai to here though as i've never been in school rush

I have no idea where to take her to get it looked at. Im in festival city area, does anyone know where would be the best place to go? tia

Health shops and boots should sell them, I used an amzin one from uk, they were homeopathic granules, instantly soothed her, do you have anyone coming over, I will look for the name of them, they were in a green box, worked a treat. Try a cooling ring for her to naw on. Rub a little bit of bonjela (I know there are different views on this) on her gums. The powder you just pour into dd mouth. Good luck I think you mean nelsons teething powder? Its fab, have used them on all 3 of my kids. Haven't spotted them here though, usually stock up in the uk or get visitors to bring them over.

It depends whereabouts on the road you were. Its 140 until you get to the section that goes down to 2 lanes and the start of the roadworks. Then its 120 the rest of the way. When I lived there you used to be able to go to the traffic department within a week or so of the fine being issued and get the fine halved.

13 months between them?! OK, I feel better now! I'm still feeling absolutely nothing. My sister keeps telling me to stop worrying and every pregnancy's different, and I know she's right, but I can't help but think I should be feeling something by now :(. Ha ha im glad! My pregnancy was different to. Had all the symptons straightaway and found out with ds at 4 weeks. With dd didn't have anything till about 10 - 11 weeks. Also didn't find out till I was about 8 weeks...was in denial! Congratulations though and the thought of managing seems much worse than the reality. I fretted for the whole 9 months but the minute I saw dd it was love and obviously meant to be.

Similar situation for me. Took me almost 18 months to conceive with ds and I conceived dd2 when he was 4 only months. Shock would be an understatment! There is just under 13months between them, Dd is now 17months. Funnily enough when she was first born it was pretty easy, well as much as it can be. Now is a bit tougher as they are both mobile. They are good little pals though and play well together most of the time
